Astronordic Nomads Part 3 the Meeting
Noahkah and Shelura are exploring a simulated environment created by ancient technology. The simulation is so advanced that it feels like a real world. Noahkah is unsure if he should tell Shelura something he read in the Ancient Anu tablets. He thinks that if he does, Shelura might be able to help him figure it out. However, he decides to keep it to himself until later.
After three hours, the darkness fades, and they notice differences in the environment. Noahkah speaks up and tells Shelura that they are in a simulation of Earth seen from Mars. This simulation is meant to be an entire world made of water, surrounded by water if the planet they see is real. They both wonder if the place is a way to get off the planet. Noahkah reads from the Ancient Anu tablets, and they realize they need to believe logically and spiritually.
They stare at the fire's embers as it goes out. They talk about the fire and how it looks beautiful, deadly, and comforting at the same time. Shelura is surprised that Noahkah knows how to survive. Noahkah teaches her key skills that she won't think of as important until later. Hours pass by, and they still don't feel tired.
Noahkah decides to call it a night as the light comes up on the second day. They both feel the heat and a sense of calm bliss when the sun rises from the distance. As they walk towards the west, the ground drops sharply, and they reach the water. Shelura is amazed as she observes the water and compares it to seeing a huge rolling hill of money.
In Martian culture, water represents the spirit, soul, and being alive. Most people in this age have nothing and rely on the five families of power to provide them with rationed food and water for centuries. The five families own them, and they are all in the same sinking boat now.
Noahkah examines the horizon and marks a point with his hand. He then sweeps the horizon and lands his hand next to his face on his right. He places a leaf and a stick in the water and spins around in a circular direction. After two spins, he lands back towards the ocean. Noahkah presumes that they need to head down into the water to find the other five artifacts that power the centralized building.
He points to the tower-like structure in the centres of the mountain top. That place is somehow connected to the water world below, and they must proceed. Noahkah rips off a huge piece of bark, slides down the slope, and jumps into the water. Shelura follows his exact route.
She feels the wind for the first time in her life and wonders if that's what water feels like. She watches Noahkah move zigzag, left, and right, jumping off a slope and into the water. She follows his exact route, and the board moves behind her across the stone without damaging it. When she sees the jump, she crouches down and lifts up in the air as she launches off the slope. She feels the freefall, and it's amazing. She instinctively activates a windsurfing suit, and the webbing between her arm and ribs extends open, letting her glide for the first time.
After some practice, she bends down, lifts up, turns left, and moves her left arm to turn right. It's exhilarating, but her heart races a little out of control. She takes a deep breath, tilts down towards Noahkah's last known location, and heads towards him.
She realised her speed was too fast and didn't know how to slow down. The suite switched to a shoot as a cloth spewed from her back. Leaning down, she pulled the string, and it moved her closer to the ground. She pulled the left cord, straightening out. She lifted her legs up and landed on the beach.
As the cloth, dejected roling back into her back like nothing happened.
