Epilogue
It has been a year & a half since Marjorie' childhood stars literally came back into her life. She moved into a bigger place to make room for the six stars. Hilariously enough, Marjorie wrote a book that has gained some traction. Can you guess what the book was called ? That's right. She called it Astrophile.
Well, it was a fantastical book whenever she told people about it. In reality, it was some truthful & fictional scenarios of when her stars entered her life. Marjorie didn't always have the stars with her one Earth, but she was content. They'd visit her as much as they had seen fit. The only one who constantly visited was Eunwoo. This was expected though, he was the closest to Marjorie.
Marjorie opened her door for her mother. "How are things, Mom ? Enjoying the new house ?" Misun gave her daughter an exhausted smile. Moving was no easy feat. Especially not when you are moving alone. "저는 그 집을 매우 좋아합니다. 바라건대 곧 그것이 집처럼 느껴지기 시작할 것입니다." (I love the house very much. Hopefully soon it will start feeling like home.) Marjorie wasn't entirely on good terms with her mother, but she knew her mother was just tired from moving all the same. "You haven't spoken, have you ?"
She was referring to the fact that her mother was once again a single woman. "Nope. I only get calls from the twins occasionally. Why do you ask ?"Kwangsun & Misun had shortly divorced after they continually argued about the twins mother wanting to get more involved in their lives. "I am worried you think I can be your escape, Mom. I may be cordial now, but I certainly haven't fully forgiven you yet for your behavior."
Misun knew things with her daughter were not the greatest, but no on wishes to hear that no matter what you say you'd never be forgiven. Forgiveness doesn't come free either, regardless if you wish for it. "I know, Marjorie ah. I know I wasn't the best mother to you." Marjorie finally was getting to the deepest emotions of her mother. A side she's never seen of Misun. Who knew all it would take for her mother to try to be better was a divorce ?
(It is good that you've acknowledged that I don't owe you forgiveness, Mom. Are you regularly going to your therapy ? You need to learn why you act the way that you do. Only then would I be proud of you and give you my forgiveness.) Harsh. But how else was Marjorie supposed to be in comparison to her mother ?
Soon enough Marjorie was alone on her balcony once more. Eunwoo joining her almost instantaneously. "Feeling any better ?" Marjorie smiled as she turned to him. She no longer was shocked when any of her friends made of stars stopped by. She had grown quite comfortable with their coming & going. Eunwoo was the only one who was consistently visiting. Marjorie feels it is because he knew no better. Because he held the most power out of the stars & probably spent the most time watching over her.
"I am. Stop worrying so much, Eunwoo. I promise you, I am fine." Marjorie knew he worried the most about her. The conversation went into a comfortable silence as they looked up at the sky.
This was the story of a astrophile who found her ASTRO.
THE END.
