"Happy Birthday son." Tenma congratulated with a straight face.

"Thank you father!" Tobio wished he could hug his father, but he was at work. He was currently talking to a blue coloured hologram of his father.

"I have gotten you a present." Tenma said, looking down at the table he was working on. "Your human maids have been costing quite a lot, so I decided to fix that problem."

Tobio frowned. He didn't want a new maid, he just wanted something normal. Like a miniature spaceship! Or something small like that. He was kinda happy with the maids he had, although they wouldn't talk to him or even acknowledge his existence.

Speaking of maids, the two of them came in with a big box. "It's been imported from Japan. It's not one of my own robots, but she is still one of the best there is." Tenma informed his son. Tobio nodded and stared at the large box, it was bigger than him!

"It's been a pleasure working with you Tobio Tenma." They bowed their heads and excused themselves to pack their things.

"Father-"

"I must go now Tobio, but have fun with your new gift." And in a blink of And eye, Tenma's hologram was gone. Tobio sighed, he didn't even want to open the box. He stood up from the dinning table and looked around, his house was so colourless and dead. Even more so without the maids now.

"Best birthday ever.." He sighed. Then, there was a slight banging coming from the cardboard box, making Tobio yelp and stumble back. He knocked his chair over and almost fell back. He stayed still for a few moments before flinching when more banging was heard. He walked over to the box and was about to open it when it burst open, foam fell out on Tobio's feet, next, a girl fell out onto him. "Woah!" He caught the girl and then quickly pushed her back onto he feet. "Dad gave me a girl for my birthday??" He looked at the model and hitched in a breath. She wore a maids outfit that's usually only seen in anime. He sighed and sweat dropped. His father knew nothing about him or what he wanted.

The girl's eyes opened, they shone a blinding light blue, then calmed down to a normal and dead (E/C). "Voice recognition. Please state your full name, age and what my duty is."

"Uhm.. I am Tobio Tenma, I am 13- ctually no, I'm 14 now and your duty is to be my maid...?" Tobio scratched the top of his head. How come you didn't know this stuff already?

The maid blinked, then turned around to face Tobio. "Konichiwa Tobio-senpai, watashi wa maido des."

"U-Uhm.. English?" Tobio never really studied Japanese so he couldn't exactly figure out what you were saying. You paused for a moment as your face went blank again.

"Hello master Tobio, I am your maid." You stated blankly.

"Uhm.. What is your name?" Tobio asked, slightly smiling at you.

"I am (Y/N). If you wish to rename me. Please state so." You placed your hands gently in front of your waist.

"Rename you?" Tobio tilted his head to the side, why would you let someone change your name?

"If you have trouble renaming me, I shall give you past examples of my name. I have been called; Haruka, Usagi, Chiisai, baby and angel."

"Baby?" Tobio asked, have you belonged to other people? If so, whoever called you baby must have been a total pervert.

"Is that what you wish to call me?" You turned to face Tobio. Your eyelids were half closed, you looked so emotionless. It somehow made Tobio feel sad.

"N-No!" Tobio's cheeks dusted a red colour as he shook his head. "(Y/N) is fine! I like that name! It's very pretty!" He blurted out. You blinked at him and almost looked confused.

"What do you wish of me to do?" You questioned.

"Well.." Tobio scratched the back of his head. "Maids clean right?" He felt kinda bad for ordering you around like this. "C-Could you please clean up the house?"

"Of course master Tobio." You bowed to him and started cleaning with fixing up the chair that Tobio had knocked over.

"Do you need anything? Maybe some cleaning items?" He asked. He didn't exactly want to leave you alone, after all, you looked just about his age. "Maybe I could help you?"

You stared down at the chair you had just pulled up for a moment. No one had even been so worried about you before. "I do not require assistance. Thank you." You didn't look at him. Tobio sweat dropped.

"Okay... See you around.." Tobio then ran off upstairs to his room. Once he got into his room he closed the door behind him and groaned. "See you around?? She's my maid, of course I'll 'see her around'!" He smacked his forehead. "I can't even talk to a robot that belongs to me." He rolled over onto his bed and sighed. He closed his eyes and mumbled something again before falling asleep.

A little after an hour later Tobio woke up. He groaned an sat up. A blanket had fallen off of his shoulders and he was met with the cold air. "I don't remember tucking myself in." He sighed and rubbed his eye. Maybe it was you? It could have been your program to making the bed, but he was just still in it. He sighed and got out of bed, rubbing his eyes. He looked around his room, everything was so clean! He smiled, you had probably done the whole house in however long he was asleep for. He walked about of his room to tell you that you had done a great job on the house, but that's when he smelt something amazing. It was like a cake. He looked over to the kitchen. 'Do maids cook?' He asked himself. He walked to the kitchen and saw you had made a cake and was just packing away the ingredients.

"Did you sleep well master Tobio?" You asked.

"Yes. I did. Who's the cake for?" He asked, completely forgetting it was his birthday.

"You, master Tobio." You placed the cake on the marble table and glanced at him, your dull eyes had no sparkle in them like your picture on you shipping box did.

"Oh, me? Wow! Thank you!" He smiled and happily looked at the cake, it was blue and yellow with amazing patterns on it.

"I hope you enjoy." You bow once more to excuse yourself but then Tobio grabbed your hand. You stepped back and turned to look at him.

"Maybe.. We could go out to celebrate my birthday?" He asked, not wanting to be alone again.

"If that is what you want." You nodded.

"Cool! Get into some normal clothes, then I'll be able to show you around Metro City." He smiled.

"This is the only attire I have." You replied, still no emotion in your voice.

"Eh?? Well, then I guess we will have to go shopping." He he rubbed the back of his neck. "We can come back and eat the cake, first let's go out." You nodded.

"What clothes would you like me to have?" You asked Tobio.

"I-I don't know, I've never been in the women's isle before!" Tobio walked close to you, he was surely fluster by all of the women's 'items' you were both passing. "C-Could you just pick some clothes that you like?" He asked.

"I will." You nodded. "Stay here master Tobio, I will be back with some clothes." You seated him down on a waiting chair, he got some stares from lot's of girls, so he just looked down shyly and waited for you to return.

Once you came back, he was still looking at the ground, red in the face with embarrassment of getting glares at girls.

"Master Tobio." You stood in front of him. "I'm going to try on these, please tell me if they are to your liking." You walked into the change room, and about a moment later, you came out in a flowing (F/C) floral dress with hints of blue to it.

Tobio nodded vigorously. He just wanted to hurry up and get out before he got kicked out. "It's very nice! Did you want to get something else?"

"This should just be fine." You nodded. The side of your mouth turned up into a slight smile. After all, you got to get out of that stupid maid costume, it was quite uncomfortable.

"Right! Then let's get out of here."

Tobio had been showing you through the whole city and telling you about things, you took all of these things into your data base to make sure if you both ever left the house again, you wouldn't get lost. He showed you places like his school, some nice places to eat and the town hall.

"And this is where my dad works." Tobio's bright smile turned into a small frown.

"It's big." You replied, staring up at it.

"Yeah." He nodded. "Well let's get to the park, it's plenty more fun than the city." He turned away.

"Do you not wish to see your father?" You asked.

"Nah. He doesn't have a lot of time anyway." Tobio shrugged then continued walking towards the park. You glanced at the tower before turning back to Tobio and following behind him.

Weeks after weeks, it became normal for you and Tobio to go out and explore. Tobio couldn't help but feel like you were acting more human though. You wouldn't just wear a blank expression everywhere you went, you lightened up a little. He guessed trying to get closer to you was working. He felt like he wasn't just hunking around a pretty piece of metal that didn't even want to be around him, but now he felt like he was taking a real friend around.

You on the other hand, were freaking out. You had started to feel bubbly around Tobio. Things were just better around him. You weren't lonely anymore. You had a friend. Yet, everything was so new, you didn't know you could even feel with emotions, or have thoughts and dreams! It was scary. Since Toby was your friend, you thought you would confess him about everything that was going on.

"So, to the park again?" Tobio asked you.

"Yeah." You nodded and forced a smile. Tobio and you began walking down the city the same path you always do. You kept glancing at Tobio, trying to figure out if you should confront him with your new ability to feel emotions. You sighed and looked away.

"Something wrong?" Tobio asked.

"No.. Yes? I'm not sure. I've been very confused for the past few weeks." You admitted. Tobio slowed down his walking as you both reached the park.

"How come?"

"I think- I must to be replaced immediately." You blurted out.

"No!" Tobio grabbed onto your arm like it was an instinct. His eyes widened at your comment. You looked up at him and covered your face with your free hands.

"I've felt emotions though.. fear, happiness, love.." You admitted.

"That's a good thing!" He smiled brightly.

"But I've been imaging things as well..! Even when you haven't asked me to." You looked away from him. "I imagined that I ran away from my last owner! And I met you here in this park! A human boy.." You looked around, anywhere but at Tobio. "A-And I'm not yours! But I make you so happy anyway!" You smiled nervously. "Isn't that ridiculous?? Tell me to stop!" You finally faced him.

"Please don't ever stop!" Tobio squeezed your hand. You stared at him in utter shock, you closed your eyes and leaned forward. Tobio leaned forward too until your lips met his. His hand rested on your shoulders, until you both snapped out of your moment and pulled away from each other.

"This is very not normal." You stuttered, you felt like something had gone wrong in you systems, maybe you had over heated.

"That's a good thing, right?" Tobio asked, his face almost as flustered as yours.

"Yeah." You nodded.
