Ding

You looked down at your phone and frowned. "Happy birthday to me..." You sighed and fell back onto your couch. The TV played in the background as you sadly thought about how lonely you felt today.

"Astro has currently captured his imposter! He..."

You rolled around and looked up at the TV. Of course, the guy you wanted to spend the most time with was on a mission right now. "Astro..." You breathed out.

Astro waved at the cameras and smiled. Although he was very tired, he had to keep up the 'Happy Hero' facade. When the news reporters and the fangirls left, he slouched his back and sighed.

"You need to get home." Delta stood beside Astro with a straight face and stance as he watched the shapeshifting robot be put into a car and sent off.

"I'm okay, Delta, I barely got a scratch from that robot so don't wor-" Astro was cut off.

"I'm not speaking about your physical state, I mean your lover." Delta looked out at the stars that covered the sky. "It's her birthday today, isn't it?"

Astro's eyes widened. "How did..?" His expression relaxed and his eyes went to being half open again. "It is.." He mumbled.

"Aren't you being unfair to that human girl?" Delta looked down at Astro. Whom turned away and rubbed the side of his arm.

The sound of your door unlocking made you shoot up from your half awake half asleep slumber. "Astro!" A bright smile crossed your face as you got up and walked over to the door to welcome your robot boy home. You sped walk to the door to see Astro closing it behind him. "Welcome home Astro!" You beamed. Your smile soon turned into a sad one when you saw the state he was in. He looked miserable and tired. You stepped closer to him and took his hand. "Are you okay, Astro?" He avoided looking at you and looked like he was on the verge of tears. "Was it that bad?"

He shook his head no and pulled his hand away from yours. "We should break up."

His sudden words confused you. "What? Astro.." He stood up straight and glanced at you with pain in his dull eyes. "Don't say things like that." You stepped back.

"I shouldn't be with you." He couldn't keep staring at your worried eyes, they broke his heart.

"Astro... Astro. Look at me." You cupped his cheeks and forced him to look at you.

"I can't..!" He pried your hands away. There was a moment of silence before you breathed out and smiled. 

"Let's go to sleep, Astro." You took his wrist and began leading him to your bedroom.

"(Y/N)-" He tugged his hand back, but you didn't let go.

"I'm tried Astro, so won't you sleep with me?" You gently let his wrist go and opened the door to your bedroom before walking into the darkness and falling onto the comfy bed. You waited for a few minutes. Your eyes slowly closed as a frown formed on your face. 

Astro looked at the door of the room you had just slipped into. He hitched in a breath as tears threatened to drop from his eyes. He so desperately wanted to go lay with you and fall asleep, but Delta's words replayed in his head. It was unfair to leave you alone on your most important day. It didn't seem right to want to keep being with you. He was selfish, so selfish. Astro glanced back down the hallway to the door leading out to the cold, unloving night.

Did he really leave you?

That's when the end of your bed sank. You didn't move as the sinking came closer to you. That's when gentle hands wrapped themselves around your lower waist. A smalle sniffle erupted from the boy behind you as he quickly tightened his grip around you and buried his face into your back. You placed your hands over his and smiled. Your shirt began to stick to your back with wetness. You began stroking Astro's hand gently in hopes to calm his sobbing down. It worked.

"It's alright, Astro. You're alright."

"I shouldn't be here with you."

"Yes, you should."

You fell asleep in his arms, but it really felt like he fell asleep in yours.
