REWRITTEN
"So, I've only got three spare rooms." Reno mumbled, counting on his fingers to make sure his statement was correct. Everyone put their sleeping bags, pillows and whatever else they had lugged with them down on the floor.
"So, that means two of us in each room." Alejo pushed up his glasses and peered around the room, looking for a partner to share a room with, his eyes landed on Kennedy but Abercrombie has pulled the small boy into a headlock, claiming him.
"I'll take Alejo!" Abercrombie grinned, happy with his quick choice. Alejo pushed himself away from Abercrombie's headlock and mumbled 'fine' while slouching his back.
"Do you want to share a room with me Reno?" Kennedy asked. Reno nodded and shaped both of his hands into a double thumbs up.
"Then that leaves Astro and (Y/N)." Reno glanced over at the pair standing next to each other, looking to see their reaction.
(Y/N) yawned, she wasn't exactly listening to their chatter. "Cool beans, can we hurry up and go to sleep though?" She questioned.
"No, no. We need to watch movies first!" Reno reported, moving next to Y/N and smacking her back, jolting her forward and waking her up momentarily. "How could you forget about that?" He questioned, one hand sassily resting on his hip.
"Sorry." (Y/N) smiled lazily. "I didn't get a lot of sleep last night. Loud neighbours and all." She she rolled her hand and shrugged. Noisy neighbours had been a constant effect on (Y/N)'s sleep schedule recently, and Astro was really the only one who had seemed to notice.
Later that night...
A blood curdling scream echoed through the the cold and misty forest. A women was panting, and running as fast as she could. The small bushes whipping her legs as she ploughed through the thick bush. The voluptuous lady then came to a steaming lake, she looked around frantically, desperately trying to find a way of escape before something in the murky pond water began to move. The movement created ripples in the water. The women stared at rising bubbles in the water with a mortified look on her face. A dark, looming creature arose from the water. The women screamed as she tried to step back, but the mud had moulded around her feet and trapped her in her place.
"Look at that! It's so fake!" Kennedy pointed out the poorly made swamp monster costume. It resembled something of a old rusted atmospheric diving suit from the 1900s.
"Yeah, the effects aren't the best." Reno shrugged, throwing a some popcorn into his mouth and then at the screen. Alejo and Abercrombie held onto each other, shaking like hell as the watched the unsettling scene unfold before them.
Astro just sat there, with a sort of disturbed look on his face, he could tell it was fake, of course, but it still made him feel sick whenever someone's life was in danger and he could only sit and watch. He didn't like the idea of humans getting hurt, or anything for that matter.
On the other hand, (Y/N) cuddled up in her blanket and leaned on Astro, using him as a pillow. Astro had noticed this and hadn't moved a bolt or cog in his body in fear he would wake the sleeping beauty. But as his minded developed thoughts on sleeping (Y/N), a wonderful idea popped into his head.
"I'm going to put (Y/N) into bed, you guys can finish off the movie without me." He spoke softly, already thinking about the best way to approach picking up (Y/N) without waking her.
"You can't go now man! This cute girl is trying making her escape!" Reno pointed at the screen while turning his head to face Astro with pleading eyes. Kennedy took advantage of Reno's lack of attention and grabbed a handful of popcorn for himself.
"We can talk about the ending tomorrow." This statement earned a groan for Reno. Astro slid (Y/N)'s head onto his shoulder, using his hand to support her lower back. Astro then used his free hand to pick up her legs. When he was sure she was properly supported he began his journey taking her to the spare bedroom. As Astro walked her to their soon-to-be-shared room, he couldn't help but glance at (Y/N)'s relaxed face whenever he could, it caused him to loose balance once or twice.
Once he made it to the room, the gentle and kind robot laid her down onto the neatly made bed, pulling up the sheets to cover her body. (Y/N)'s eye fluttered open slowly once Astro let go of his hold on her, the sudden absence of warmth was enough to wake her. "Astro.." She muttered, a faint smile forming on her face.
"Sorry to wake you." Astro smiled lightly while keeping his tone soft.
"No..." She yawned. "It's okay.." (Y/N) rubbed her eyes and sat up groggily.
"Try and get some sleep, okay? I'm going to finish the movie with the others before they get any funny ideas." He signalled out the door with his thumb. Astro noticed, even in the darkness that (Y/N) had become a little deflated at his words. This stopped him from acting out his leave.
"Mm.." (Y/N)'s face twisted into an unpleasant frown, it was clear she was frightened of him leaving her. She grew a bashful look on her face and glanced up at Astro, unable to speak her trouble.
"What's wrong?" Astro asked, taking a seat on the edge of the bed.
"Could you stay with me?" She stuttered, rubbing her hands together nervously. Astro cocked a brow and then smiled sadly at her.
"How come?" He asked. Astro had already made up his mind on staying with (Y/N), but he was still curious about the reason she wanted him to say. Her cheeks became noticeably pink.
"I'm afraid of the thunder and lighting..." She admitted. "A-And you always make me feel safe and happy. So.. will you stay with me?" Astro could've sworn his heart had burst right then and there. She avoided eye contact with the young robot, afraid she might die from total embarrassment. Astro grabbed (Y/N)'s hand and held onto it tightly for reassurance. He rolled onto the empty space of the bed next to (Y/N), still holding his smile.
"I'll stay with you." He said, leaning close to her so that their shoulders were touching. (Y/N) looked up at him with sparkling and glistening eyes and hugged around Astro's neck.
"Thank you." She beamed, digging her head into the crook of his neck, no longer embarrassed by what she had just told him due to the lack of Astro's judgment. Astro gently wrapped his arms around the pretty girl, hugging her back. He laid back down onto a pillow, which made (Y/N) do the same. Astro continued to hold her close, tightening his protective hug if ever any thunder struck. (Y/N) soon drifted off into a peaceful and calming sleep soon afterwards. Not needing to worry about the loud lighting that would usually terribly frighten her.
A single 'snap' could be heard from the end of the room followed by a flash of light that had come from a phone and then the sound of young boys giggling devilishly amongst themselves.
"We are totally going to show them this when they wake up..."
