7 | Tainted Innocence by @GachaMusicLover

cover
I think the cover fits well with the aesthetic of the novel in general. It's simple yet sophisticated.

title
The title is a bit generic, but for this novel specifically, I wonder what it could possibly mean? Like whose innocence becomes tainted? I must find out!

blurb
The blurb has an interesting and unique setup. It really stands out from other stories.

characters
Arabella seems like a genuinely sweet and considerate type of character. Her personality is so vibrant, almost in a way that I kind of envy. She clearly cares about others and that's shown in her interactions with her friends, Elena and Armani.

Alexander kind of reminds me of those typical hot, brooding characters you see on tv. He has a very tragic backstory, which is very much relatable. Sometimes we have these overbearing parents who only want to see you succeed but at the cost of your mental health.

plot
Although you do say that the story is cliche, I think you've added a bit of your own take to it. It's not entirely a bad thing--cliches--I actually quite like it.

pacing
It's good to see the different perspectives of the two main characters. This helps with the pacing as we go along with what they're both experiencing in those moments.

grammar/language
There are a few mistakes I saw as I read the first few chapters that could be easily fixed.

When finishing off dialogue, remember to add a comma. For example, this sentence:

"Hello Jessie" Arabella says with her signature smile.

Should be written like this:

"Hello, Jessie," Arabella says with her signature smile.

And be sure to place the period after dialogue inside the quotation marks:

"You know me well my love".

"You know me well, my love."

There were a few instances where I saw this occurring. It's something small but I think it'll help as you continue with your writing endeavors!

Other than that, I thought your grammar was fine. A few errors here and there but nothing some quick editing and re-reading can't fix. You stayed on the path of present tense which is quite a feat.

overall thoughts
Overall, I actually quite enjoyed this story! I love the fact that you included a very diverse cast of characters. It's always wonderful to see such amazing representation in stories. I hope you continue this story!

Happy writing!
