The cover is very subtle, but once you take a closer look at it, you can see the raven feathers--or black magpie feathers? Probably the latter. It's honestly very beautiful and simple.

Such a unique title and it makes me wonder why you chose this title in particular.

✰ blurb
I think the blurb is super interesting and definitely piqued my interest. It's not too long, not too short. It lets me know what I'm about to get into and makes me excited to learn more!

✰ characters
Johnna is a very observant and fearless character. It's clear that she's also very considerate of others. This showed especially when she decided not to kill the monster and saved it instead.

Fia is orderly and seems like a great friend. She cares about the safety of herself and others, particularly when it comes to Johnna. I like the way she puts it: "motherly disposition," it describes her perfectly.

Rory and Mazer make such a cute couple, it's sweet how much they care for one another.

✰ plot
The plot is in a whole league of its own. It has its own distinctive qualities to it that I've never seen done before.

I'll probably continue it just to see what role Marsy plays in all of this!

✰ pacing
The pacing was overall good, I just wish you would have elongated the chapters just a little bit more but I think I'm just being nit-picky.

✰ grammar/language
The grammar was flawless. Your descriptions were so vivid and it felt like I was reading an already published novel. I just do wish you would have described what the ulr looked like because I thought the concept for this creature was very cool and would have liked to have known what its appearance was.

✰ overall thoughts
Apologies if this review is short, I just didn't find much wrong with it. You have a great writing style and I plan on hopefully reading more of it in the future!
