Part 39

Roman: What happened!?

(Templar is seen holding his jaw)

Templar: it was that stupid horse. It kicked me.

Roman: that biege blond one?

Templar 2: That's the one.

Roman: That horse is so rebellious. That's the 4th time it has happened. That horse will never let someone touch it. Very well, tonight were gonna kill it. And use it for its meat. We can't have anyone else getting injured or possibly killed because of that stupid horse. But no matter we have other matters to attend to.

(Transition back to Hilda. When she is seen walking from the manor into the town, she secretly goes over to the castle on the outside of the gates. When no one is looking she climbs over the wall going to the other side of the castle to the stables. She tries to go inside the stables and sees her horse Marzipan. But one of the templars stop her.

Hilda: That's my horse! You can't just take my horse!

Guard: Its not property, young woman. It belongs to the village.

Hilda: I found her in the forest, she belongs with me!

Guard: Quit calling it, that. It's not yours were not giving it back to you. Gentleman.

(They grab her by her waist and escort her out forcefully closing the stables shut away from Hilda)

Hilda: Marzapan!

(She cries out)

Let go of me! Marzapan! No!

(The horse neighs sadly to Hilda)

(Harper)

Bank: Well boy. Looks like you did a pretty good job.

(He pats him on the shoulder)

Harper: So what's my cut?

Banker: I beg your pardon?

Harper: I helped you fix your revenue. I thought you were going to pay me.

Banker: Look, son. I appreciate what you did. But you're not getting anything.

(He shrugs in a careless way. Then Harper remembers what Leighton told him)

Harper: So you're stealing money from me eh? It's no wonder none of the architects don't want to help you.

Banker: whatever you want to say. Get out of my sight or I'll stick the templars on you.

(The banker walks away but before he retreats Harper grabs him by the collar and looks him straight in the eye. The man looks at him freighted)

Harper: I worked hard for your establishment. And if it wasn't for me you would have already been taken care of. If you don't pay me my cut, I'm going to ruin your reputation.

(He let's the man go in a hard shoving way)

don't mess with me.

(Then the man gets frightened)

Banker: I'll go get your bloody money.

(He goes and then comes back with a bag full of coins)

Here.

(Harper grabs it in an aggressive matter and checks inside then looks at the banker)

Harper: Now that's more like it.

(He leaves away from the banker and the banker goes back and stays inside his revenue. Harper heads on back to the manor house and goes over to Leighton)

Harper: You were right! He wasn't going to pay up so I used your advice and he got scared and paid up the money.

Leighton: Wow. It looks like you got a lot of coins for the job. I'm very proud of you.

Harper: Thanks!

Leighton: So what are you going to do with it?

Harper: I haven't the fanciest idea. I'm a servant boy. There isn't much I want.

Leighton: Hmm.

(And then Tristan comes downstairs and sees them talking and sees the bag full of coins)

Tristan: Whoa. Where'd that come from?

Leighton: Harper made a lot of money from his architect job.

Tristan: Really? Way to go Harper.

(He pats him on the shoulder and Harper smiles)

Harper: eh. Its nothing.

Tristan: So what fancy stuff you gonna buy with it?

Harper: I'm not sure. There isn't much I want.

(Then he has an idea)

Hey! Tristan maybe you could use it. You're building up your army right?

Tristan: No. Harper. I can't take it it's yours. You earned it.

Harper: But the thing is I have no use for it. I already have everything I need. Besides I don't care much for fancy things.

Tristan: No. I can't accept this. That's very generous of you, Harper. But no.

Leighton: Stop being so prideful, Tristan.

Harper: Yeah. What she said.

Tristan: And I meant what i said. No. I can't take that.

(Then Hilda comes inside the door in tears)

Tristan: Hilda. What's wrong?

Hilda: They have my horse.

(She says through tears)

Leighton: Oh, Hilda.

(Then she comes up with a plan)

We're getting that horse out.

Tristan: You gone nuts?

Leighton: Well they already taken everything from you. They can't take that horse too. Besides we can make room. It can stay in the back with my other horse.

Hilda: We are?

Leighton: Let's go.

Tristan: Leighton hold on a second.

Leighton: What's there to hold up on?

Tristan: How are we going to get the horse out? Its locked up pretty tight especially at night.

Hilda: Maybe not.

(Cue back to Castle Electus on the outside of the locked gate) Tristan,Hilda, and Leighton are there having their arms crossed and hiding in position. They see in the other side of the wall the templars guarding the whole place. They're whispering

Hilda: How are we going to bypass those guards?

Leighton: Simple.

(Leighton looks over her shoulder. And sees the templar with his back turned. She takes out her crossbow and shoots him in the back making his body fall over. The next one sees her)

Templar 2: I see you!

(He runs over to her and she stabs him in the stomach with her hidden blade)

Leighton: Easy right? Now go get that horse. We'll deal with the bodies.

(Hilda pickpockets one of the templar's pockets and grabs a key for the gate to open. She secretly goes to retrieve her horse while Tristan helps Leighton get rid of the bodies she goes inside the stables and sees Marzipan in her space area)

Hilda: Marzipan! Thank goodness!

(She holds onto the horse's long neck and the horse gives her a happy neigh happy to see her)

Shh. Not so loud. Quickly we don't have much time. Let's go before they come.

(She mounts on top of Marzipan and with the horse straps she has the horse gallop)

Yah!

(Then they run out of the stables onto the front outside of the castle gates where Leighton and Tristan are done burying the bodies Hilda makes the horse stop)

Tristan: Let's go home now.

(Cue back to the backyard of the manor. Hilda puts Marzipan in a safe place and goes back inside to rest up for the night)
