(Cue morning times it is 10 AM Asyan and Hilda take a walk around the village)

Asyan: You must have had a good life. I'm happy for that.

Hilda: Yeah I guess. But they introduced me to the prince in my early teens. And since then we have been inseparable.

Asyan: What made them arrange it for you?

Hilda: Its just the cycle of the generation. Same thing happened to my mother, her mother, and the mother before that.

Asyan: That doesn't sound that good.

Hilda: Its not. but the men took care of them. I mean they didn't love each other but they took care of the women and the children. So I guess that's all that matters.

Asyan: And you're gonna marry him and have children?

Hilda: Looks that way.

Asyan: But he hit you. Why would you wanna be with someone who hits you?

Hilda: I don't know. He treats me good. I'm sure he didnt mean it. When I go home, he will apologize. I'm sure of it.

Asyan: Do your parents know about what he did to you?

Hilda: They know. He struck me right in front of them. They didn't stand up for me which I'm not surprised. They're always known to go along with whatever happens.

Asyan: You don't deserve that kind of life.

Hilda: Don't play hero, Asyan. Whatever you do,don't say anything to anyone about it.

Asyan: No. Of course not.

Hilda: Just let me handle this. It'll be okay I'm sure.

Asyan: Well I'll be here if you need someone to confide in.

(She looks around and sighs)

Hilda: You're a good friend Asyan. I wish I had met you sooner.

Asyan: Yeah. Friends.

(He smiles but deep inside he doesn't want that)

Hilda: I better go then before they get suspicious.

Asyan: Right.

Hilda: See you later, my friend.

(She smiles and waves him he does her and says sadly)

Asyan: If only I was more than that for you.

(The next few days later Hilda is with the prince inside her parents manor house eating fancy food)

Prince: So tell me, dear. Your birthday is coming up. What would you want me to get you?

Hilda: whatever you get me I'm sure will be lovely.

Prince: You're the one I'm marrying. And since you're gonna be my wife, a woman like yourself needs only the greatest.

Hilda: I'm good with whatever gift you give me.

Prince: If you wish.

(They keep eating their food) So let me ask you something. Where were you when we had an altercation.

Hilda: I thought we were past that?

Prince: We are. Its just a simple question.

Hilda: I spent the night at my friend's Eleanor's house.

Prince: Funny. Because I talked to her, she didn't say anything about you at her house.

Hilda; Its another Eleanor.

Prince: You're a bloody liar.

Hilda: No. That's not true.

Prince; If you're cheating on me, say it. (He has anger voice)

Hilda: I'm not. I'm devoted to you and only you.

(He speaks to her in an angry voice)

Prince: Silent!

*he slaps her in the face she holds her cheek from the slap*

You went to sleep with someone else huh? A strumpet in the streets!? I should have you condemned to death. You're damn lucky you have someone like me if not, you and your family would have been poor.

Hilda: What are you talking about?

Prince: Your dear old man didn't tell you? That's the reason he had you marry me. The village is taking away his merchant job. And hes gonna lose everything. Why do you think he had us wed as soon as possible?

Hilda: I-i...

Prince: of course you didn't know. You're just as asinine as the day I met you. You and your family.

Hilda: What does that matter anyways? You don't love me either.

Prince: that may be. But you will love honor and obey.

Hilda: I am not your property.

Prince: You're my bride to be!

(The parents come in)

Hilda's mother: What is going on here?

Hilda: I'm calling off the whole thing.

Hilda's father: You can't do that.

Hilda: No I can. And I have to.

(She walks over to the door but is stopped by the father)

Hilda's father; Hilda, so help me you walk out that door...

Hilda: What dear father? I walk out and you lose your precious merchant store? Yeah. The prince told me about your mishap.

Hilda's mother: Hilda You're gonna marry the prince whether you like it or not.

Hilda: And if I dont?

Father: you'll be poor for the rest of your miserable life and when that happens don't bother knocking on our door.

Hilda's mother: You will be on your own if you walk out that door.

(Hilda turns her back and doesnt listen so she opens the door goes outside walks away from them and never looks back)

(She walks a couple miles to Asyan's little house in the other district she knocks on his door)

asyan: Hello Hilda.

Hilda: Is this a bad time?

Asyan: Not at all. Come in.

Hilda: You're right about the prince. My parents sided.

Asyan: Was it because they found out about me?

Hilda: I didn't tell them.

Asyan nods

Hilda: Could I stay here for a couple days or so?

Asyan: Of course. You could stay here as long as you need to.

Hilda: I really appreciate it.

Asyan: Did something happen?

Hilda: No. It's nothing.

Asyan: Your eyes look red. Have you been crying?

Hilda: No. It's ok dont worry about me.

Asyan: (changes the subject)

Are you hungry? I have no fancy food to offer. I could make us something to eat. How about some chicken broth?

Hilda: Yeah. I haven't had that in forever. I would love to.

(Cue dinner time)

Asyan:every time I was always sad,I would always sad-eat. It's bad because I could gain weight but it makes me feel better after I've ate some.

Hilda: Yeah I always did that too. Before I was to be wed, I couldnt do that anymore. I had to find other ways to deal with the constant drama.

Asyan: Yeah. That sounds messed up.

(Cue bed time)

Asyan: Still can't sleep eh?

Hilda: No. Too much to think about.

Asyan: whatever on your mind you could tell me. I won't judge.

Hilda: Just stuff from the prince.

Asyan: I'm sorry to hear that.

Hilda: I cant keep living like this anymore. If I don't find something, I'll reach my breaking point eventually.

Asyan: Don't say that. You'll make it through. You don't need him. You've got me.

(Hilda smiles standing up on the bed)

Hilda: You're sweet.

Asyan: I love you.

Hilda: What?

Asyan: I love you Hilda.
But i know you can't be with me. But in my heart I know it's real. And in my heart we are together. I know not in real life but in my world were together.

Hilda: I wish I had met someone like you sooner.

Asyan: I wish I met you sooner too.

*asyan nods*

Right then. We should get to bed. They both lie down. Hilda puts her head on his chest. Asyan accepts. Without hesitation, he puts his whole arm over her in the bed.

Hilda: Let's not go to bed yet.

Asyan: What shall we do?

Hilda: I have a few ideas.

(She gives him a shoulder kiss. He accepts. He puts both hands on her waist and continues to kiss her. They are in the mood. and because of that, Asyan removes her night shirt from the buttons and throws it to the ground Hilda removes his shirt and kisses him hungrier than ever. They are kissing each other passionately with them both holding each other while kissing)

(Cue later on. It is now after midnight. They lay in bed holding each other and they have the covers over their naked bodies with Asyan showing his chest and Hilda covering herself up from her chest you could only see her bare arms and her head and her neck then Hilda speaks up still laying down)

Hilda: I love you, Asyan Willowdale.

Asyan: I love you too, Hilda.

(He smiles still asleep)

(6 weeks later)

Asyan: I missed you!

(He puts his arms around her to hug and she accepts the hug back hugging him tight on his waist)

hey uh...are you ok?

Hilda: Sit down.

(She let's go of him)

Asyan: This sounds bad.

Hilda: I don't know how you're gonna react so I'll just say it.

Asyan: Are we going to not be together anymore?

Hilda: No. Of course not. I love you. Were not coming apart.

Asyan: Oh. Okay. Well what is it?

Hilda: I went to the town doctor today. I missed my visitor.

Asyan: Oh...

Hilda: as of today I found out that...six weeks ago what we did, we were in the heat, and we didn't exactly use a condom...

Asyan: Is something wrong?

Hilda: Asyan...(pause) I'm pregnant.

(He reacts shocked. But his shock turns into a happy face then he nods trying to hide it)

Asyan: Is it ours?

Hilda: Of course. I haven't been with anybody.

Asyan: Sorry. This is big news I just don't know how to process it. Anywho, how do you feel about it?

Hilda: I feel happy for once. Maybe something good is gonna happen to us ever since what happened with my parents and the prince.

Asyan: (he reacts all happy) I'm gonna be a father...

Hilda: Yes. (She smiles)

Asyan: I can't wait to see our baby. I don't know them yet but i love them already.

Hilda: Me too. (She smiles)

(Asyan puts his arms around her hugging her)

Asyan: I love you Hilda.

Hilda: I love you, Asyan.

Asyan: And I always will.

(She hugs him by the small of his waist Asyan let's go and touches Hilda's tummy)

Asyan: And I love you, my little one. (He smiles and so does Hilda)

What do you hope best for our future son or daughter?

Hilda: May he or she find happiness. May they find true love, may they go their own path. Asyan, I don't want our son or daughter to go through what I went through with my parents.

Asyan: Hardships make us stronger, my dear. Yes life is full of challenges, but along the way, they'll find their way back. I'm sure of it.

Hilda: But most importantly, I want our baby to come to us if they're ever going through a rough time in their life.

Asyan: And they shall.

(They both smile at each other)
