(A couple days later)

Hilda: Are you ready?

Tristan: As ready as I'll ever be.

(They go up to the king and Queen)

Tristan: Mother...father...there is something I have to tell you and I cannot hide it anymore. And its going to come out sooner rather than later. I don't know what you're gonna say so I'm going to say it. I'm in love with my servant Hilda.

(He holds her hand tightly)

and if you want me to be kicked off the next throne of King, I understand and I accept. I just want to be with her.

(Yzair and Lucinda look at each other and back at Tristan and Hilda and they both nod)

Yzair: I think it's time you know our past.

Tristan: Past?

Lucinda: Believe it or not, Tristan, I was a serving girl for this castle. Just like Hilda.

(He was shocked. All this time he always thought he came from a prestigious family)

Yzair: My father, and three older brothers did not approve of our relationship as she was just a worker and I was the prince, crowned king. But after my father died, all four of us were fighting for the crown, and we all faced head on duel for the death.

Lucinda; Your father was the last one standing.

Yzair: And when I was crowned king, i married your mother and had you and Beatrix.

Lucinda: Therefore, if it's what you wish to be with Hilda, then...

Yzair: You have our blessing.

(Tristan and Hilda smile at each other then look back at the king and queen)

Tristan: Thank you, mother,father. This means the world to me. And thank you for sharing our family history.

Yzair: Of course son.

(Hilda gives Tristan a shoulder kiss and he holds her on her waist and then they pause and look at each other smiling)

it's back in the year 2020. It's time for Elayna to get out of the animus.

Doctor: Alright, Ms. West. You can come out now.

(He continues looking at the clipboard ignoring her)

Seems like you're comfy on the machine right?

(Then he stops looking at the clipboard and sees her)

Elayna?

(He sees her eyes wide open. He shakes her gently)

Ms. West?

(He checks her breathing)

Oh shit!

(Then a worker comes in)

Worker: What happened!?

Doctor: I don't know!

(He takes her off the animus and puts her in the other room)

I'm not sure how long she's been like this!

Worker: get her to the hospital quick!

(A sound of the ambulance comes and another scene goes into Elayna hooked up on the wires with her father holding her hand while the lifeline is beeping. Then the doctor gives him an inaudible talk. He is seen crying when the doctor goes out of the room)

Daniel Narrating: Elayna died a couple days later in the ICU. Doctors said she was hemorrhaging. I don't know if it was the animus that caused the bleeding. But the doctors said the blood unintentionally touched the brain and it was too late. She was already brain dead. The doctors gave me a difficult decision. To finally take her off life support.

(A sound of the plug being pulled is shown and what sound no one wants to hear; The flatline)

(He narrates again)

I lost my wife, and I lost my little girl.

(in the real world, He sobs hyperventilating uncontrollably he can't stop himself)

(Daniel narrating): For the last twenty years of Elayna's life I don't think she ever knew what it was like to be happy for a moment. And as a father, I feel like I failed her. But I believe we all failed her. The system failed her,the doctors failed her, everyone. Was there a how? No. Was there even a why? No. Was there even a will to fix all of this? Maybe. But we never know about something like this. Because in the end, when we turn a blind eye, it's gone before we know it. And then the cycle repeats itself over,and over again. And it becomes too late to be mended, and everything becomes said and done;;, Undone.
