You were just relaxing, reading a book you so desperately wanted to finish. Just as you started reading an interesting part you heard light tapping coming from your window. You groaned when you saw chocolate brown eyes and a dopey grin in the window. Knowing he wouldn't go away until you talked to him, you sat up and padded across the wooden floor and let Federico in.

He climbed in and grinned at you. "What do need Federico?" You asked. He looked at you with feigned hurt, "Are you saying that I'm not welcome here?"
"Not at midnight, you aren't!"
He chuckled at your frustration, "I just wanted to show you something bella, that is all."

You sighed, you knew you couldn't win and agreed to go with him. Federico looked pleased with himself, he jumped through the window and once you got dressed in the proper attire, you did as well.

"So what exactly are you showing me?" You asked, raising a brow. He gave you a mischievous smile, "Now that would ruin the mystery, wouldn't it bella." 

He then turner and started running, "H-Hey wait up!" You called before chasing after him. He laughed as you chased him. You ran after him, weaving through streets and climbing up building, laughter echoing through the night.

After a few more minutes if chasing, Federico finally stopped on a rooftop of a church. You stopped behind him, panting. "Please tell me you did not pull me away from my book for a wild goose chase."

He looked back at you his brown eyes, making you melt. "Come here," He said, beckoning you with his finger. With curiosity you came closer. He then pointed to the sky,"Look." You followed his finger and gasped at what you saw.

The dark sky had dark blues and purples smudged into it making the bright stars pop out more against it. The moon was full with its sliver light bathing everything before you.

You felt his eyes on you, awaiting your response to his surprise. "F-Federico, it's beautiful!" You looked over at him, he had a triumphant smile and happiness in his eyes,"See? I told you, you'd like it."

You giggled lightly, "Okay, you win." But then you looked at him with curiosity,"Why exactly did you show me this?"

He turned and held both of your hands in his, "I wanted to show you that life just isn't about books, life should be enjoyed, and life is even better when you don't isolate yourself and spend time with people you care about."

You smiled slightly, "Well, thank you for showing me this, but what do you mean 'people you care about?" He smiled shyly," I care about you y/n." You were still confused,"w-what do you mean?" He rolled his eyes,"Here." Federico suddenly pulled you against him and pressed his lips against yours.

You went stiff at the sudden contact but quickly closed your eyes and melted against him. He smiled into the kiss and let go of your hands to put them on your waist while you tangled your fingers into his hair. You finally broke the kiss and put your head against his chest where you could here his heart hammering. "Ti amo y/n," Federico whispered. "Ti amo anch'io Federico."

You spent what was left of the night watching the stars before you had to leave for home to avoid a scolding from your father. You have Federico a goodbye kiss and snuck back into your house and into your room. You laid down in your bed trying to fall asleep but your head was full of Federico and you lips tingled where he had kissed you. You smiled to yourself.

Maybe moments like that was better than books.
