I was getting away from this place. No. It was obvious they weren't joking about killing each other, but I couldn't do that, I'd rather not graduate at all and go into the life of nothing. I didn't understand it, nothing made sense in my mind, but there was that one voice in my head telling me to run. That I had no place here, that I needed to leave. This wasn't going to work. The Butler Dude, with his black suit, and white gloves, his hair neatly combed back, asked us if we were ready to leave.

We nodded, who wouldn't want to escape a place like this? What were the people left behind thinking? The blonde girl was one of them, the ice breaker, was she in on this? I had my suspicions on her.

The butler opened the door, and closed it behind us, walking with us as well. The door seemed to slam and I realized I hadn't paid much attention to what I expected the outside to be like. It seemed normal, but there were tons of hedges, and the paths seemed to have a purple edge to them.

"you're free," Butler said, a smile appearing on his face. I should've payed more attention to that but I couldn't. there was only one thing on my mind at the moment it was that I was free. I was free out in the world. I should've been more careful, but I wasn't thinking. I saw two people asked to go back from the corner of my eye but they were refused. The group gathered closer, and I still wasn't paying attention to it. I just started walking towards the large hedges providing a maze. They were in my way of freedom, and that's the only thing I could care about at the moment.

I felt someone reach up to me, and I looked back at them, but they must've seen something that changed their mind since they let go and looked down. I needed to leave. I felt like a caged bird looking at an open window, the huge terrors of the world waiting just on the other side of the bars. I took my step into the bushes and I felt something along the side of my feet making me shiver, but it was too late to turn now. A sudden movement from the leaves behind made me jump, and I turned to see a black haired girl with blue eyes walk up from behind me then next to me.

"What's your name," she asked, looking around fourteen, as well.

"Eira. Yours?" I replied to be polite, though I really had no intentions of making friends.

"Ena, our names are pretty close, huh?" she said with a small smile. Instantly, I changed my mind and thought, 'I must protect this tiny child at all costs,' I mean she looked so innocent.

We started talking about other things then, like ways to go, and things like where we might go after this, to things as shallow as which boys we thought were cute.

"Left or right?"

"Let's try left," I said, making the worst decision of my life yet. But then again it's not like I remember any other decisions, though, so...

I walked down the path, and felt the same touch against my foot, and Ena moved closer to me. i felt something of almost a dark presence, the same thing I felt in the academy, something always there, waiting to make a move.

I reached m hand out, and grabbed hers, and she have it a reassuring squeeze. There was no doubt she didn't feel it as well, but I decided it was probably just a snake. But my judgement is usually wrong as you could probably tell. We took another left, and there was mist suddenly appearing in the road ahead, and just as you could probably tell, this was going to take a dark turn.

"Let's turn back, Eira," Ena told me gripping on tighter to my arm.

I looked at her face and she had a look of sheer terror, and I decided I didn't like that so I agreed. We were making our way back to the second left we had taken coming here, and this time we had gone right. It was rather a sunny path, and I was glad about that.

A bloody murder scream came from the left somewhere and goosebumps started to form on my arm as I looked around. No one was here, right? Still holding my hand, Ena was the first to react, now moving faster.

"Ah, so the first one already happened," a deep voice from behind said. A voice I recognized. Butler dude was going to kill us.
