Personality: Bashful, playful, and mischievous. She's spontaneous and rarely thinks before she acts. She doesn't scare easily and isn't good at making or following plans, but definitely will try if she had to.

Why 3-E: Rena is known on the main campus to cause trouble out of the blue. Her grades are actually in the low A range, so it certainly wasn't the grades that got her kicked to E. She had been anonymously setting up mini pranks all over school grounds during the course of second year under the alias 'Red'. Eventually, she got caught, and the teachers were practically forced to make a pun, which was her greatest prank yet.

Backstory: Rena Shimada was raised along side her older brother, Tokako Shimada, by her older cousin, Amari Shimada. She had never met her parents, or was too young to remember, and therefore wasn't that distraught by the fact they weren't around. But her older brother did, and was really upset for a while while living with Amari. In their primary and middle school years, the brother sister pair would often cause mischief in their street and the neighboring ones. They were friends with all the kids who lived around them and were know by all the adults as the trouble-makers. They would often be the reason for prank wars in the neighborhood (agility and lip reading skills) and would work together to throw the other kids off guard. She'd never admit it, but they didn't always win. It was always a lot of fun regardless.

As her older brother got into Konugigaoka Junior High, they stopped hanging out as much. During this time, Rena was attacked by an older man in a back alley somewhere in town. Due to this, she developed some emotional trauma, but she mainly didn't let it stop her. She decided to learn self defense (close combat skill) so she'd be prepared the next time it happened.

She got into Konugigaoka as well, but found the hard work and stress boring. So she started setting up pranks under an alias: Red. The teachers ended up catching her red handed and sent her to E-Class for misbehavior. She dyed her hair
bright red in rebellion before the end of her second year. Her brother and her cousin found the whole thing hilarious.

Extra: She was asked to be in a gang when she was 13, but politely declined; she's still friends with them to this day. You can tell she likes someone when she gets fidgety around them; she never gets fidgety.
