DEATH BLADE

It was nearing fall. The night having the moon back with the stars dotted over the sky. Her room was unkempt with the company of the moonlight trespassing her territory. The door to the balcony was open with no one in sight but herself, who was rolling around the bed distressed by the events happening around her. Candle lights were lit for her to give her view to this dark bedchamber. A lamp kept a little far away just in case for her.
She rolls around whining and punching the bed, again and again, using her fist.
A groan escapes her lips as she looks up to the decorated headboard filled with designs of flowers in front of her. She lay over her stomach with her disheveled hair that she had grabbed at least fifteen times for now.
WHAT DO I DO?!
Jasira's mind was wholly messed up. She wasn't scared or terrified by the fact that she had to get married to a sleazy old man. She had heard rumors about how six of his previous wives died before. She didn't want to die like that. Forget the old man, her throne was getting out of her hands. That man was so irritating to look at. How can she live her life like that?
She has always lived in this palace from the day she was born. She never stepped out, or she doesn't even know how it looks outside, what awaits her. She has met people, but only when they visited the palace.
The nobles that she'd thought would support her for her whole life backed away just a few months ago. Just because she couldn't prove herself. How would she? Her father doesn't let her do anything. On top of that, she.....she has wanted to prove herself all her life. She wanted to learn archery, hold a sword in her hand, go outside, make people believe that she was fit, she can take care of them, this kingdom....that she cared about the people of Ivrea. When she was a child, she was handed a ball of wool for knitting and she was so irritated. For god's sake, she doesn't want that. She was made to learn how to dance with a guy. She'll smack all guys in this world but she doesn't want that too. She wanted to be a queen.
She lays her head over her arms in thought.
Can she even get the throne in so less of a time?
Another groan escapes her mouth as she grabs a pillow punching it to the bed again and again aggressively.

NEXT DAY ─
The sun rays hit the inn of Nightbrook. The inn had just started getting more customers. The owner grins talking to several of them outside over the streets whilst he stood cleaning the doors with a cloth in his hand. There were numerous travelers outside since the inn was popular enough to get them. It was the starting of fall. The leaves of the trees had started falling and the temperature wasn't so hot or cold.
JK stands stretching his body just after waking up, hearing his bones crack whilst doing that. They had slept for a whole day and night. Poor Bam had to suffer with him.
His lips curl in a sweet smile staring at the bird sleeping peacefully over his bed. Bam hadn't even thought of sleeping in his cage that he thought of so dearly. The sad truth was, he'd to wake him up since it was morning and they had to get to work.
Without even JK going towards Bam, Bam snaps his eyes open resulting in JK's heart to skip a beat. He grabs his chest in absolute surprise backing away.
Bam looks up at him getting up slowly and peacefully, "What?" He asks like nothing just happened. JK shakes his head walking over to get his black assassin shirt from a corner in his room where there was his clothing arranged after being washed as he starts wearing it and yawns heavily. His blades were kept in a closet. His gaze moves to it as he starts conversing.
"I was so tired yesterday that I stripped off of every clothing on my body in a hurry to go to sleep," JK's gaze moves back to the main door of his room as he points to it, "I hope no one entered in here. I even forgot to lock the door," He looks back at Bam who had tilted his head while listening to him. He didn't remember what happened yesterday. Little Bam's mind wasn't working after just waking up from his sleep.
JK was an assassin. Therefore, it was common for him to be alert even in his sleep. He was always vigilant since it was also his habit. Yesterday, he didn't even think about the habit twice.
He had made a special lock for his room just to have a belief that he was safe here. He didn't even use it wanting to go to sleep.
JK yawns again with his arms high up after pulling his shirt over to his body and wearing it, "Let's just believe no one was here."
Bam turns to him with a terrified gaze, "What if someone was here?"
Bam wasn't scared for JK but himself. His manly reputation will be destroyed if he's found with a guy naked beside him and him sleeping like he was dead. He didn't want to be known as a parrot that slept dead beside a naked guy. This inn was filled with people. The mere thought of that horrified him from the insides.
They both wished, not knowing a cat had already trespassed their territory and was terrorized by what he saw.
Ah, this little guy made JK stressed for no reason. He massages his eyes turning to the bird, "Hoping for the best wouldn't hurt." He removes his fingers from his eyes swiveling back to the closet.
Bam nods flying over to JK's shoulder from the bed's white sheets to look at the blades arranged in his closet carefully. Everyone of them were extraordinarily eye catching. It was the closet of an assassin which meant blades were more valuable to him than money. His blades seemed high priced tressures that were just for the human's enjoyment who's job was killing. He liked using a different one each day, resulting him in having a collection of them. For Bam, they were all unique but his eyes caught a blade kept carefully in a corner wrapped around using a cloth.
JK's eyes skim over the blades trying to choose one for today as he grabs the blade in the cloth seeing Bam's wing which was pointed towards it in excitement.
[ Start the song now. ]
His lips release a chuckle after removing the cloth from over the sheath.
JK had grabbed the one Bam had chosen. A silver blade having the colors of gold designed over it, and a sheath covering the blade's beauty. JK pulls the blade from the sheath after throwing the cloth revealing its bright silver that gleamed when he moves the blade to the window. The blade was mesmerizing to look at. Whoever will have this pierced through their body today will be blessed enough to be sent to god using this as a door to hell.

The darkness had engulfed the earth; still winds blow in a direction whilst it was the time for everyone to visit their dreamland. But as the humans visit the dreamland, there was someone awake running over the rooftops with blades in his hands. His luring eyes squint for the purpose of trying to see the farthest he can. His brows knit together in an intimidating frown while he ran wearing his assassin suit having several blades in it. The most important blade for him was the one he held in his dominant hand. The silver blade with a golden pattern over it that had a master to itself.
While he dashes through the upper parts of the houses having the moon as his companion, a bird following him high up and his shadow. The bird spreads his wings taking turns for his master. The assassin jumps over numerous houses in attempts to approach the one he wants.
"Bam!" He does a flip over a house seeing a large mansion far away as he raises his eyebrow at the bird gesturing him to do something.
The bird nods in reply flying to the mansion as swiftly as he can.
He sees a large brown bricky wall in a far away distance. The houses that he was running on and wall had nothing in between. It would be a hassle for an ordinary man to spring having that distance. He would die. There was a large empty space but he didn't care.
It was easy for him.
He sets his blades in his belt, leaping from over a house to the wall, and grabbing the wall's upper part hanging to it. He climbs it reaching the top and jumping from it without a noise.
There was no one in his view, however, he knew there were knights before. He strolls near the mansion without producing a sound of a single footstep. His environment was filled with white fog helping him in his hunt.
"Ah, go away, bird!" He could hear some men ranting making him relish their dumbness. They called him a bird and didn't address him using his actual species since it was so dark, they couldn't see.
Whistling with his hands behind his back, he takes a silent walk over to the mansion.
"What? A whistle? Who's whistling?" The men had started thinking it was someone working with them. They're behind the mansion running back to the front part after hearing the whistle.
"WHO'S THERE!?" There were five of them on a night shift looking around in search of the mystery whistler having swords in their hands.
JK walks to a wall reaching it and feeling a weight on the shoulder. Bam was back after distracting them. It was their everyday activity to make the knights nervous, scared, miserable, before doing the kill. But the actual thing was, JK didn't just do it merely because of that reason. He loved being entertained by their reactions. A person's mind gets messed up when they're vulnerable and he knew that. He has always used every little thing to his advantage.
Bam flies high up reaching a window and roaming there waiting for JK to climb up. JK climbs a window frame jumping over to another one and doing the same one by one. He wasn't panting or heavily breathing since he was used to it.
The blue building was decorated with the pattern of white as he arrives at the main window he was meant to approach.
The second window from the left side and the first from the up.
The window was unlatched beforehand since he had heard how the person liked sleeping with it open.
A man rest with a duvet over himself, sleeping peacefully in his bedchambers. His bed was especially made with oak since he liked expensive things filled with valuable ornaments. His fingers held gold rings in it. The draperies flew from behind him when he heard a knock in the back.
His eyes snap open as he gets up throwing his white duvet away. He stands up wearing his brows in a bewildered frown as he pushes his feet in his slippers to wear them. His feet walk ahead in search of at least a shadow.
"Hello? Is there someone here?" When feeling a dash behind him, he turns in a go seeing no one. He could feel his heart starting to thump faster in his chest by the sudden happenings.
His neck is grabbed from behind pulling him as he feels a figure's face leaning to his ear. His shadow in front of his eyes standing with him that he couldn't quite distinguish of how the person looked like because of the shadow getting mixed up.
He senses a blade's edge being placed to his throat, "A message from viscount Adamos : '.....I hope you find a pleasant home in hell. May god be with ye'."
His throat is slit as his body falls to the ground....
JK's eyes roam towards all the gold and diamonds in the man's room curling his lips up in a satisfied smirk as he releases a chuckle moving his gaze to the dead body in front of him. Bam flies over to him but doesn't sit on his shoulder. His worried gaze is touching the dead body a few feet away. Bam could hear drops of blood dripping to the floor beside him from his master's hand.
"End of work for today, Bam."

[ A/N: 'may god be with ye'. Heard it's a medieval saying instead of goodbye so used it. I love the music so much! It totally looks like it was especially made for an assassin! Please vote! ]
