3rd person POV:

(Principal's office)

Ran entered Akuma's office to immediately be greeted by the principal himself.

Akuma: Ran-chan~. It's so nice to see you.

Ran:(sigh)... Hello Akuma.

Akuma: Can I get you some tea? Coffee perhaps?

Ran: A beer.

Akuma: Didn't you drive here?

Ran: Let's just get this over with.

Akuma: As you wish. Tell me, how have you been getting along with Yn?

Ran: Haven't killed him. So we've been getting along pretty well.

Akuma: His training?

Ran: God...

She pulls out a cigarette and lights it with some Chi jutsu.

Ran:(sigh)

Ran: He's okay, but dear god, he cannot hold a weapon properly.

Ran: Every weapon... Every.Single.Weapon. slips out of his hand as if they were covered in grease.

Ran: I don't know how, but he loses it so easily.

Ran: The only silver lining is the Chi control of his kunai.

Akuma: I see... It makes sense.

Ran:(glares) What makes sense.

Akuma: Kira is infamous for having a legendary weapon.

Ran: So?

Akuma: Rumor has it, he sacrificed his ability to wield any other weapon to use the demon blade.

Ran: You're telling me this now?! I've wasted so much time teaching him how to hold a kunai only to find out he is cursed not to be able to hold one.

Akuma: Sorry Ran-chan, can you ever forgive me?

Ran: Tch, I need a vacation.

Akuma: Is that it? Because that's easily arranged.

Ran: Wait, seriously?

Akuma: The class of the chicken is heading out to the spirit caves soon. So you'll be alone for a while.

Ran: Heh... That actually sounds kinda nice.

Akuma:(smiles) So do you forgive me Ran-chan?

(Opening theme)

(Shink)

Yn: Whoa!!

An inch away from his face was one of Mai's swords in the wall.

Rolling to the side to avoid her dropkick, Yn began running for his life.

Mai: Slippery scum... Can all you do is run!?

Yn: Believe me, I'd much rather come towards you, but it seems you're in a mood!

Mai: Tch!

Giving chase, Mai followed Yn as he climbed the staircase. On the way up, Mai would throw shurikens towards the upper floors to try and hit or at least slowdown Yn.

As he neared the roof, Mai dropped the "slow him down" plan and went with speeding herself up instead.

Wall jumping up the stairs, she inevitably caught up with Yn and kicked him into the back, through a door that led to the roof.

Yn:(grunts)

Rolling across the ground, Yn made an effort to quickly get onto his feet.

Yn: Ugh...you're pretty strong...

Turning her head in a quick moment, she sent the blade at the end of her long braided hair flying towards the door. The blade smacked and closed the door while also giving Yn a beautiful image of her.

Yn: You're also extremely beautiful. Are you sure we cannot settle this with a drink?

Mai: There's nowhere for you to run. Now you have to fight me.

Yn: Yeah, you're right. I can't run...

Mai: Draw out your weapon and let's fight.

Yn: I wasn't finished.

Mai:?

Yn: I might not be able to run... So I'll just have to fly!

(Poof)

Jumping off the roof, he cracks a transformation egg and turns himself into a bird. As he awkwardly flaps away, Yn looks back at Mai to tell her...

Yn: Bye! And I forgive you for the attempted murder!

Mai:(glares)...

Focusing her Chi, Mai began making hand signs, before whistling.

Mai:(whistling)

In the distance: KYAAA!!

Yn: What the...? HOLY SHI-

Swooping straight down on him was a large blue, human child-sized, falcon, that grabbed Yn between its talons. This mythical looking bird pinned Yn to the ground behind the school.

(Poof)

Reverting back to his human self, Yn was in a panic as this falcon tried to poke at his eyes.

Yn: Not the eyes, not the eyes!

Mai leaped off the roof. Digging one of her swords into the side of the school, she slowed down her descent.

Landing safely on the ground, she approached Yn as he grabbed the falcon with both hands causing it to become even more wilder.

Tossing it off himself and towards the nearby forest, Yn got up to immediately have Mai shove a sword near his face.

Yn:!!

Yn: I'm guessing that was your bird?

Mai: That was a spirit. While I was on a field trip with my class, I was able to make a contract with a spirit to aid me in my endeavors.

Yn: So you have a ghost bird? Damn, you just keep getting cooler and cooler.

Mai: Now, fight me!

Yn: Wh-why do you want to fight me so bad? What did I do?

Mai: Don't play dumb. In our first encounter, you not only made me fail my mission but you also made a fool out of me!

Yn: How did I make a fool out of you?

Mai: With...

She looks around to make sure no one was near.

Mai:(glares) That kiss.

Yn:(blushes) Oh... I regret nothing.

Mai: Did you tell anyone?

Yn: No, I don't kiss and tell.

Mai: Tch.

Yn: Sorry, poor choice of words.

Yn: But what's the big deal? It was just a little kiss, no harm in that, right?

Mai: I'm not doing this because of some worthless kiss you stole. I'm this because of what that kiss means.

Yn: And that is...?

Mai: A enemy who is in a class filled with people of lesser skill than me, not only survived against me with minimal damage...

Mai: But also shamed and embarrassed me by stealing a kiss.

Mai: If anyone found out about that, I'd be laughed at and dishonored.

Mai: That is why I must fight and defeat you. To fix a mistake, regain my honor, and make sure my place here is not questioned.

Yn: Wow... That's a lot...

Mai: Now fight me.

Yn: Okay. I guess I can't say no now.

Yn: If I lose, what happens?

Mai: Death or the hospital.

Yn: And If I win?

Mai: I'll leave you alone.

Yn: Nah, that sucks... If I win... You have to go out on a date with me.

He says with a mischievous grin that Mai doesn't respond to.

Yn: Now the rules. You're obviously stronger than me... So how about you get three attacks to take me out.

Yn: Succeed, you win. Fail, I win.

Mai: Deal.

The two take a few steps away from each other.

Yn: Whenever you're ready-

Throwing both her swords at Yn, they glow with Chi energy as their curve through the air towards him.

As that happens, she grabs the blade at the end of her braided hair. Armed, she uses Chi to launch herself at Yn.

Now with two swords flying towards him on either side of himself and Mai coming to stab him dead ahead.

Yn:(mind) the first attack... I can work with this.

Reaching into his pocket, Yn grabs a transformation egg, then cracks it.

(Poof)

In a poof of smoke, just as the three-sided attack was about to land, Yn disappeared.

Mai's two swords landed in the ground diagonally as she held her third blade where Yn once was in the cloud of smoke which when it dispersed, Mai saw a heart-shaped piece of paper slowly falling to the ground.

The heart-shaped piece of paper poofed back into Yn when it landed on the dirt.

(Poof)

Yn: Strike one.

Mai:...

Grabbing her swords Yn offers them back to her. Taking them back, she immediately uses them to attack him.

Yn:!

With his Kunai, Yn did his best to deflect the attacks so they wouldn't hit anything vital. Using the hand that was holding the kunai, he deflected one of the sword attacks so it only grazed his arm. Using his free hand, he caught Mai's wrist stopping the second sword attack.

Yn: Ah-ha! Didn't expect me to have such great instincts did ya?

Mai: Tch...

Yn:(mind) That was actually really close! Maybe I should hand her weapons back after we're done fighting?

Yn: Strike two. I hope you like amusement parks.

He said while trying to get up from the ground.

Mai:...

Tossing her weapons aside she grabbed the blade at the end of her hair and attempted to stab him close range as he tried to stand.

Yn noticed her attack, along with the arrow heading straight towards her.

Acting quickly, he surprised Mai when he grabbed her arm while falling back and pulled her into his arms.

Mai:!?

(Thump)

An arrow landed near the heads of the two teens.

Mai:!?

Yn began rolling to the side with Mai in his arms while arrows were shot at them.

It didn't take long for Mai to figure out the situation they were in. So while they were rolling, Mai used her blade to block the arrows about to hit Yn's back whenever he was on top of her.

Yn quickly adopted the same tactic with his kunai.

And so the two rolled until the arrows stopped flying. Yn was now on top of Mai, looking at her with stars in his eyes.

Yn: That was so cool! We were so in sync, we would probably make a great team.

Yn: I feel really close to you for some reason-

She backhanded him across the face knocking him off her.

Mai: Idiot, there are enemies near!

Yn: Agh... My face...

???: Awww... Am I interrupting you two love birds?

Mai kicked up, back to her feet ready for battle whilst Yn simply got up slowly while rubbing his face.

Together, the two looked at their attackers. A group of ten armed assassins, along with their leader, a man in his late fifties, wearing a grey suit, with a bit of his tattoo visible near his neck. This man was called Kuro Kuze.
