Richard, The Necromancer

"If you think mere bullets will kill me, you're mistaken" Richard smiled madly as blood ran out of the wounds in his chest. He wiped them off on his already bloodied cape and took a few threatening steps towards the bewildered captain of the Jackdaw.

"What in the seven seas..." Edward eyes widened and narrowed repeatedly as he stared at the 6 holes he'd created with his bullets, wounds that seemed to heal almost instantly as Richard walked towards them.

"Inhuman, you say?" Edward glanced back at Grace as he put his arm before her body, taking a few slow steps back from the monster that was walking towards them. "You don't happen to have a few tricks like that up your sleeve, ey?"

"Well, actually..." Grace muttered as her hands went for the last dagger on her belt. Her eyes connected with Edward's as his now permanently focused on her, disbelief and even a bit of annoyance evident in them.

"Just remember that this whole thing could've been avoided had you just given me-"

"Just bloody do whatever you do, lass." Edward looked back at Richard, who was now only a few feet away with a new flame forming in the palm of his hand while he was wearing a mad grin. "Because if you wait any longer I'm afraid we won't be more than a pile of ash and-"

Edward got caught off mid-sentence when a bright green light blinded his vision. He groaned and shielded his eyes with his hand, but the brilliant light disappeared sooner than expected. With his vision still blurry, he could vaguely make out Grace fighting with the other captain. Every now and then the same blinding light would appear and Grace would be standing on a whole different spot, sometimes even further away than humanly reachable within such a short moment.

Richard tried to follow her swift movements with his fire, but it was clear that he couldn't track her fast enough. "Co'mon little bird! Show yourself!" he yelled loudly, clearly getting frustrated. Especially after he discovered that Grace had made him scorch his own crew while trying to hit her. Almost half of his men were either burning alive or just a pile of ash.

"You know, Richard," with another brilliant flash Grace was suddenly standing behind Richard with her blade against his throat. She moved closer to him, her lips almost brushing his ear. "Time always catches up, no matter how much you try to avoid it."

"You won't escape him." Richard growled, realizing that he was already lost when he felt the coldness of the dagger against his vulnerable skin. "You know he won't ever let you, of all people, go."

"Well, I can always try." Grace whispered in his ear and then with one swift movement producing the blinding light again , slit the throat of the captain. When the body fell down and all she held was a head without anything else, she glanced back at Edward.

" Next time, dear captain" She sighed as she threw the still bleeding head towards his feet. It made a sickening sound as it collided with the deck and rolled further till it pounded against Edward's foot. "try not to piss an inhuman off." she smiled mischievously and made a few confident steps towards him.

Edward bend down and grasped the hair of the head, lifting it up till he could look it in the eyes. His eyebrows furrowed as he looked at the man, still not really understanding what and how everything happened what just happened. He dropped the head and looked back at Grace, studying her like it was the first time he saw her.

Her pearly white hair that was covered in dirt and fresh blood flew around softly in the wind as her brilliant, almost glowing green eyes narrowed at him. He noticed the freckles near the area of her nose and her lips that were set in almost a permanent frown.

"Edward!" Bonnie awoke him from his trance as she walked up to him all bloodied. "We got the ship." she continued. "Seems their captain didn't care if he burned his own crew."

"Making it easier for us." Kenway smiled widely and looked back at Grace. "So, lass." he walked towards her till he stood right before her, offering his hand to shake. "I think we're off for a new start, ain't we?"

Grace hesitantly took it and frowned when Edward continued to smile even though there was death and pain all around him and he himself was covered with blood.

He laughed and offered her his own flash of rum, placing his hand on one of her shoulders as he led her to his cabin. "You've got a lot to explain."
