Huntsmen

If it weren't for Bleiss' creating her own version of the animus, Desmond doubted that his students would be as good as they were now. It was odd, no matter how much he thought about, he still couldn't make sense on how people from another world could live the lives of the people from his own world but if he had to guess, it was probably due to some Isu bullshit.

Another thing he was curious about was how he, a person from another world, could use aura. Even with Bleiss' help, he still couldn't understand how that happened but it was definitely useful even with his recently discovered Semblances: Subdued Presence.

With a small sigh, he rose from his desk, grabbing his bracer as he did so and fixed it to his right arm. He'd already sent most of his students off to each Kingdom, in perpetration for the entrance exam for each huntsman Academies. As for Ilia, she went back to Menagerie, having grown worried about news of the increasing violence in the White Fang.

Fortunately, Desmond already had the foresight to have an assassin base constructed on the island, so she didn't have to worry about having a place to stay. Additionally, he made sure that the building was properly equipped and fully stocked for her arrival, as a bonus, he also left her some passive income that might prove useful for her but in the end she would have finally say on what she wanted or needed.

Grabbing the Seusenhofer armour, a gift from Bleiss, Desmond left his room and began making his way towards the courtyard. Today was an important day as it was around the time when he got the monthly report on the rest of the kingdoms.

Information was essential if someone wanted to survive in this world, it was a currency that most people took for granted and as such quickly proved to be their undoing. No matter what occupation you had whether it was a huntsman, law enforcer or a simple blanket, information was key and Desmond knew that as he received the reports his students had sent him.
...
"So what do the reports say?" Clay asked as he waltzed into the living room and plonked down onto the coach opposite him.

"Nothing good..." He replied with a small grimace. "Apparently the headmaster of Minstrel Academy - Leo Lionheart, has been selling out the locations of huntsmen in Minstrel. For what reason, I don't know but it could be worth a check." He noted before glancing at Ilia's report on Menagerie and wincing, "It looks like the situation with the White Fang is worse then we originally thought."

Clay grimaced, "Yeah... it seems like we've got our work cut out for us." He said as he rose from his seat, "Is there any news from Vale?"

Desmond shook his head, "Not much" Desmond answered as his lips curled into a frown, "Apparently there's been little to no criminal activity aside from the occasional dust robbery." He went on to explain before glancing back down at the report, "I don't like it." He announced before standing up, "Aside from Minstrel, all criminal activities in the kingdoms have stopped."

"I take it that means you'll be heading down to Vale, then?" He asked to which Desmond nodded in affirmation. "You wouldn't mind preparing the Airship for my departure, would you, Clay?"

"Not at all." Clay replied as he stood up from his seat and left the room.

Returning to his room, Desmond quickly switched out of his mentor outfit and slipped into his huntsmen uniform, the Ishak Pasha armour, a replica of the armour worn by the Turkish Assassin Ishak Pasha, before grabbing his Assassin Yataghan Sword and fixed it firmly to his waste. Grabbing the armours facemask, Desmond placed it into a bag next to his pouch full of explosives and the neatly wrapped up parachute.

This was going to be a long trip, he thought to himself as he folded some additional clothes and placed them into a small pack.
...
With the money made from his targets and the Huntsman contracts, Desmond was able to create a passive yet massive steady income around the four kingdoms and using that money, he was able to acquire multiple forms of transport from vehicles to boats amd to airships.

With that knowledge in mind, he stepped onto the airship and settled down in a chair as he pulled out the portable animus. "I might as well use it..." he mumbled as he reclined back in his chair and activated the device. While not necessary needed to pass the time, Desmond had began using the animus as a virtual testing grounds to practice and hone his skills while his real body got the rest it needed.

While this was happening, Clay decided to play some AC/DC on the radio. Again, no-one was really sure as to how multiple forms of Earth media had ended up on Remnant nor did they know why it was located inside the Isu vault but whatever the case at least they didn't have to worry about suffering through the boring media that Remnant had to other.

Other then that, the ride to Vale was quick and quiet with no trouble whatsoever. Surprisingly, Desmond had found his students waiting for him as he exited the airship.

"Mentor..." Jaune greeted as he, Nora and Ren bowed in respect. "Please, no need for formalities. After all, you are also a mentor now, are you not?" Desmond asked as he gestured for his students to walk with him towards their base.

Jaune looked thoughtful for a moment as if to try and think of a good reply before looking back at Desmond with a sly smile, "I remember but you must realise that without you to teach us, we wouldn't have become assassin's in the first place." He stated as he guided Desmond to a café called Café Théâtre, original a run down coffee house, with Desmond's financing, Jaune and his friends were able to turn the building back into the best coffee shop in vale.

"... Aside from that, nothing else has happened." Jaune explained as the tour came to an end. Desmond looked thoughtful for a moment as he digested the information given to him.

"Hmm, how strange..." He said after a moment of silence as the group stopped before a small elevator. "I know and it leads me to think that something big is going to happen someone soon." Jaune revealed as the elevator began to descend into a massive underground cavern decorated with all sorts of items from books, to weapons and to armours.

Before continuing to the main hallway, Desmond stopped and turned to face the group, "Now then, as I recall the entrance exam for Beacon begins tomorrow, as such you should all get some rest." He advised before he began walking towards his room, leaving the group to think about how to best prepare for the academies entrance exam.

Alright, next chapter of this will take place from Jaunes POV and will focus on Beacons entrance exam. Other then that, I'm back to focusing on the next chapter of Fallen World! So expect that to realise either this week or next week! Now after that I have plans for a crossover story with TENSURA and Assassin's Creed as well as a crossover with Fairy Tail! But until then enjoy this simple chapter.

I should also explain Desmond's Semblances Subdued Presence - It basically makes it so that when he steps into a crowd, sits on a bench or hides in a bush, no body will actively pay attention to him. Its basically the games stealth mechanics okay and it ain't perfect t because people could still find him if he actively draws attention to himself which is still hard considering the skills he has.

Bye everyone! See you next time!
