"Edward....Edward wake uppppp." You whisper-whined, shaking the Pirate Assassin's arm. He had come back home later than usual, and you had no idea why because he said it was a 'surprise'.

I like surprises was your first thought, deciding to not bug him about it. But half the night, your curiosity clawed at you, wondering what it was.

Back to the present. Edward was snoring, his arm looped around you in a tight hold, his bare chest slowly rising and falling. It was cute, until you stayed up for an hour trying to wake him up. Nothing worked. You tickled him, pinched his cheek and arms, hitting his head (gently), shaking him rapidly, clanging pots together, kisses, NOTHING WOKE HIM UP. it's like he was dead! You huffed in annoyance, then snapped your fingers. Of course! You wiggled from his grip and ran to the window, shouting. "EDWARD!! THE JACKDAW!! SHE'S SINKING!!"

That got him.

He woke up, scrambling to the window, scared that the Jackdaw was sinking. He looked out, seeing the ship still intact. He sighed but then looked at you. "You cheeky little bird." He growled playfully, laughing. You smiled. "Finally you woke up, you seaweed brain!" He smiled, slapping his arm gently. (Seaweed: 50% sea, 50% weed *dies from dank memes*)

He purred softly, arms wrapping around you and nudging into the crook of your neck. "Can't we go back to bed, dear?" He asked, looking at you with bright blue puppy eyes. "No, Kenway. We have things to do, remember?" You smiled, able to resist his cute little pout. "But (YYYYYYYYYY/NNNNNNNNNN)..." He whined. "But Edwardddddddddddd..." You mimicked him, a grin on your face when he whined more. He pulled you to bed, making you squeak in surprise. "E-Edward James Kenway!" You laughed when he flopped on the bed, you on his chest, in a big mess of blankets and pillows. "(Y/N) (M/N) (L/N)!" He copied you, laughing. "Oh shush! We gotta get up or I am not making you breakfast!"

"Don't worry about that, lass~ I already have my breakfast right in front of me~"

"E-EDWARD!!"

You had finally dragged Edward out of bed and the two of you were walking in the market place, hand in hand. His arm slid around your shoulder and he yawned in boredom. "(Y/N) are we done yet..?" He pouted, making you giggle. "Edward you asked me that twenty seconds ago. No, we aren't done."

About a minute later,

"Are we done?"

"Yes."

"Really?!"

"No."

"(YYYYY/NNNNNNN)!"

The sun was going down, you and Edward now taking a walk along the beach. You had taken your sandals off, running around in the water like an innocent child. Edward watched you and chuckled softly. "(Y/N) get back here." He smiled. "Make me! Nyehh!" You stuck out your tongue, but yipped when Edward ran at you, causing you to run away, giggling.
Unfortunately, he was faster than you and caught you, picking you up bridal style and spinning in the water with you, pretending to look like he was going to drop you. "Edward don't you dare!" You smiled, clinging to him. "I won't love." He smiled, walking onto the beach again and setting you down. He suddenly looked nervous, his face slowly being peppered with a light pink across his scarred face. "Edward? Are you okay?" You asked, moving some hair from his face.

"Yes, lass..can I just...tell you something?"

"Of course, Eddy."

He snorted in amusement at the nickname, then looked into your eyes. "(Y/N) how long have we been together?" He asked you. "About three years..why?" You answered calmly. "In our three years of being lovers, I realized how much I can't live without you. I come home excited to see you, when I'm gone away from you for more than a day I dream about you, waiting for me to come back with warm hugs and kisses." He chuckled. "That sounded so cheesy..I just...I love you. I love everything about you. Your attitude, your body, your smile, your laugh, your...well...everything!" He smiled cheekily, making you giggle. "So...I decided...I want to spend the rest of my life with you." He got down on one knee, pulling out a ring. You're eyes widened and you covered your mouth, tears coming to your eyes.

"So...(Y/N)....Will you marry me..?"
