"(Y/n), remember to be back by sunset! And don't leave Boston!" Your father called as you walked outside into the brightly sun-lit streets.
"Don't worry father, I won't!" You called back.
You breathed in the fresh autumn air, letting the suns rays hit you and soak into your skin. The bakeries all had newly-baked food left on the counters so they could cool off, the little kids were playing around, the dogs were yipping, and the horses were whinnying. You loved Boston. You lived in the farming territory of Boston, which was fine by you. You lived in a two story house, surrounded by a wheat field, and it was internally quiet. Something any girl would love.
But you longed to see the forest. Live excitingly, see new places, see new people, and even hunt.
But hat was just a dream, for your mother had always said that ladies do not hunt, they just stand there, look pretty, and wave.
That's not your ideal life. You were one of those people who's thirst for adventure never ceased. Not even the coldest water of poshness could douse the flames of determination in your eyes.
You climbed up on your (f/c) horse (anyone else think of a pink horse? My sister said something about a pink horse..) and trotted off into the city.
It was bustling. People on every corner, boats coming in and out from far away places, music played, town criers yelled the news, and one crier caught your ear.
"A killer is running loose in the city! Be careful whenever in a place with less civilians!"
A killer? Your heart raced and your hands tightened on the horse's reins. You've never really seen a killer unless you counted those Templars and Red Coats. You huffed in irritation and carried on, ignoring everyone and zoning off, so your horse went to random places.
"OI!! GET THAT GIRL! SHE AIN'T SUPPOSED TO BE IN HERE!" Someone screeched, making you fall out of the clouds and back into reality.
You began to think they weren't after an innocent girl like you, that is, until they shot your horse.
As the horse fell, you panicked and jumped off of the now-dead horse; ripping a good portion of the frills on your (f/c) dress.
Dammit! You thought when your shoes broke.
You tossed them off and ran, skidding into alleys and through streets.
Soon, they were catching up and you were running out of choices. Sweat beaded down your head and your arms, legs, and face were cut up from pointed things and running on cobblestone. You ran into another alley, pushing people out of the way. And just as you went to turn right, someone from the left snapped out their half-gloved hand and pulled out into he darkness. "H-Hey!" You began to scream, but he covered your mouth gently. "Shhh...." He whispered, pulling you with him more into the darkness behind some stacked barrels
You were pressed against the man's chest as he craned his neck slowly to see if the guards passed you both yet.
When he didn't see anyone, he turned back to you. "Are you alright? It looks like a great deal of damage was done to you." He asked, letting go of you.
"U-Uh.... I-I'm fine, I guess...... Thanks. But I think we need to leave." You whispered, averting your eyes from his, staring at a guard who almost saw you. The man automatically pulled you out of view when the guard looked your way.
Your (e/c) was filled with excitement and terror, but you buried your head in the man's robes.
"You are a (l/n), are you not?" The man questioned once the guard left. "Yes.... Why? And how do you know?" You answered, shooting back a few questions of your own.
"You remind me of your father. He used to be in George Washington's army until he retired. Give this note to him, we might need his assistance once again." He said, handing you a note. You slowly took it and asked, "Who should I say this is from?"
He hesitated, but he answered you. "Connor Kenway. He knows who I am."
"Well, Kenway, I hope to see you again," You said, beginning to walk away, "Also, the names (y/n)."
"Stay safe, (y/n)." He muttered once you were out of the alley.
