You sped across the trees in pursuit of a buck, something that is hard for you to catch, but you tried anyways. You jumped branch to branch, but soon lost the buck somehow. You groaned in anger and went to find something else. Soon, you saw a doe with a little brown faun. (Holy crap its BAMBI!) you took out your bow and nocked an arrow into it, getting ready to shoot. Suddenly guilt struck your head like a bullet. I can't kill this mother... You thought, lowering your bow. You turned to go find yet another thing until you heard a squeal. Your head whipped around to see an arrow lodged into the doe's neck, blood covering the snow with red while the little fawn mourned its mother instantly. You looked straight ahead to see Connor running up. "Seriously Connor?!" You almost screamed, jumping down from the tree and storming up to him. "What?" He asked, completely confused. "You killed that doe!" You growled. "Is that.....bad?" He asked, tilting his head. "YES!" You shrieked. "How?" He asked again. "Now the little fawn has no mother!" You said, suddenly seeing Connor tense up and you immediately regretted what you said. "C-Connor I-I didn't mean....." You began, but in a blink of an eye, he was gone, his footsteps in the snow led away into the upcoming snowstorm. You covered your mouth with wide eyes. "What have I done...." You whispered. The little fawn looked at you and whined, beginning to shiver without it's mothers warmth. You walked over and slowly picked up the tiny fawn, wrapping it in your tail-coat.
"I'm going to call you (f/n) (favorite name)." You said, beginning to trek through the snow. "C-Connor?!" You called, teeth chattering just a little. It was more freezing than icy water. You were about to give up when the snowstorm covered Connor's tracks, until you realized you were lost. You looked around and found an abandoned cave and you ran in, thankful for the little warmth it gave. You took off your tail-coat, taking the fawn with it, and picked up some pieces of wood, then a stone and your smooth flint stone that dangled around your neck, and started a roaring fire, bringing more warmth into the cave. "Hope Connor's alright...." You said to (f/n) (Oh my god if you actually put Bambi as the fawns name..... That would just be hilariously awesome. *claps*). You curled up next to the little fawn and fell asleep.

Meanwhile, Connor was trudging through the snowstorm, trying to find his way back to the Homestead. He knew you didn't mean what you said, but it still hurt him a little. He was wondering if you went back to the Homestead, until he heard the faint crackling noise of fire. His indian instincts was enough to say, 'bro, go to that fire.' (Oh god, that felt a bit racist..... But It shouldn't be coming from me. I am part Cherokee for gods sake!). He began running towards the noise, until he finally saw a cave. (Hmmm.... Wonder who's cave that could be?) he cautiously walked in, not noticing you until he heard soft breathing from the dark part of the cave. He focused his sight and slowly walked towards the breathing. He figured out where your face was, and he moved his hand (unknowing it was you.) to prod your cheek. You groaned and flicked his hand away, turning to face the light. ".....(y/n)?" He muttered, taken aback that you were here.
Your eyes opened slightly, either from the cold or from being tired.
"Connor......?" You asked, coughing slightly. Your throat was dry, your lips were chapped, and you were basically shivering violently. (F/n) was perfectly fine with its fur, sleeping peacefully. Connor stared at you for a brief second before taking off his own tail-coat and wrapping it around you. You were shocked by this since you've never seen him without his 'sacred' attire, and the only time you have is when he was forced to give it to the maid to clean it. He looked away from your thankful (e/c) eyes with a red face. "(Y/n) are you alright?" He questioned. You only answered with a cough that sent a shiver down your spine. He sucked in his breath as he stood, walking to the fawn still laying on your jacket.

He picked up your jacket, with the fawn, and placed it on your chest. He then proceeded to bend down and pick you up. He walked out of the cave and back into the snow storm, though it has lightened up greatly to only soft snow. He smoothly walked through the snow and you were processing what's going on. You mind was buzzing with thoughts like why is he doing this? Or has he always been this kind?. "(Y/n) I suggest you get some sleep." Connor instructed. "I'm sorry, Connor, I said something I shouldn't have." You squeaked, lowering your head. "I know you did not mean it... I'm sorry for leaving you." Connor replied, slightly holding you closer. You sighed softly and rested your head on his warm chest, falling asleep.
