Idea #1

Shay X Reader
Requested by Rukia9
Hope you enjoy! And also, since my title's suck, all the Ideas will be called 'Idea #' then the number. And little note for Rukia, or any person that requested something from the 'any ideas?' Chapter, just tell me a title that rings to you when you read this and I'll put it.
Enjoy~

"Shay please?" You pleaded to the tall man in front of you. "No, (y/n). How many times do I have to tell you that Grandmaster doesn't want you to come with me? He doesn't want you to get hurt." Shay protested. "I don't care what my 'father' has to say! I want to go with you!" You growled, a bit agitated now. Yep, you were Haytham's adopted daughter. Shay was about to say something but you cut him off by spinning around, dancing your way behind him and grabbing a throwing knife. "(Y-y/n)! Give that back!" Shay said, quickly turning around to face you. He tried to grab your wrist, but you jumped up, grabbing a pole and swinging onto it, hanging upside down on it. "Oooohhh! A pretty throwing knife! It'd be a shame if I cut myself~." You teased, flipping the knife expertly through the air. (Like how Connor flips his tomahawk in the game). "(Y/n). Get down here and give me back my knife." Shay growled, his normally calm Irish tone growing into a deep, angry tone through his clenched teeth. "I will if I can go." You said. "Fine! But don't blame me when you get hurt and I get punished!" Shay huffed, throwing his hands into the air. You smiled one of your innocent sweet smiles and swung down, walking up to him and giving him the knife. He snatched it from you and put it back in its respected spot on his belt. He stared at you for a few moments before grabbing your arm and semi-storming off to his destination.

~time skip since the place is freaking all the way across Boston. Im making this stuff up so no spoilers for real game players of AC Rogue.~

"Alright, so you need a different look so no one notices you. I suggest a dress for one thing--" Shay began, but you snorted in amusement. "A dress? That wouldn't be a good disguise, would it? People would see my face. You wouldn't want that, would you? Ex-Assassin?" You said, throwing your two cents in by mentioning his old rank. He stiffened in shock on how you knew and you snickered, beginning to walk off to a tailor's store. You had a small secret you just had to tell him...... (Yeah, I'm stupid to make you an assassin once more but hey, ya gotta love em!)
~
You walked out of the tailor's shop wearing a full assassin's attire. It was a dark/light shade of (f/c), equipped with a thin but sharp sword, a whole pack of pointed throwing knives, your hidden blades, (f/c) boots, dark brown trousers, and lastly, your two guns; one at your side, one on your back. You made your way to Shay, who was looking around for you. You tapped his shoulder and he instantly turned, grabbing a dagger. "What do you want assassin?" He muttered, slowly putting up his dagger when you held your hands for a truce. "You seem to be waiting for someone?" You asked, twirling your finger in the air. "Yes, but it's none of your concern." Shay replied. "Oh I bet it is, Shay." You teased, trying to give him hints. "How do you know my name?" He growled, beginning to grab his dagger once again. You groaned and grabbed his arm and ran into an alley way. "Wha--?" He began, but you put a finger to his lips. "Shut up, Cormac. You should know who I am. If not, then you'll figure out after the mission." You ordered. "Hold on, you want to accompany me?" He asked through your index finger. "I'm afraid so, Shay. But don't worry, Achilles told me to just stay in the shadows and help you when needed." You said. Was it a lie? Of course it was! Haha, eh... Achilles didn't assign you anything, it was your month off actually. You did spend three months trying to kill your target. (Don't know who, bare with me ppl I haven't played the game yet.) you began to climb the rooftop and Shay hesitantly followed. You both ran across the buildings, ignoring the guards shouts, and finally made it to the targets home, getting ready to assassinate him. But the one thing you didn't know is that the target was a close friend of your's until it was too late.
The man walked out and instantly Shay jumped down and slid the hidden blade into his neck. You watched as Shay flipped the man over and you got a good look at his face. Oh my god no.....Darby! You thought, covering your mouth as tears brimmed your (e/c) eyes. Shay looked up with a look that meant, 'tell me who you are now', but you just ran off.

~next morning~

You walked through the Templar sanctuary (no idea if that's real) with a darkened look on your face. Your best friend Darby, who you've known since you were little, had been killed by Shay- the guy you liked, or thought you liked. You couldn't believe you never knew. Oh wait.... Thats right, I blindly wanted to go. You sighed. "Greetings (y/n)! How are you?" Your friend Lillian asked (yeah, she's and OC, but she won't be in the story long, just for this part) she was the only Templar that knew you were an assassin. "Not so good, Lily." You sighed. She tilted her head, showing she wanted you to go on. "Shay killed Darby." You whispered. "Oh no.....isn't he your best friend?" Lillian asked. "Was. Before Shay killed him." You began to growl. "Hmm.....I gotta go, Shay's right behind you." Lillian snickered, dashing off after Haytham. Thanks, Lily. Your mind growled. "(Y/n) you've been ignoring me. Why?" He asked, lightly placing his hand on your shoulder with a concerned look. You slapped his hand off and shoved past him to your room, wanting to put your assassin gear on and run across the building to knock out some stress. Shay said something, but your mind was clouded with anger to even care. You ran to your room, knowing that Shay would follow and you had a but of time, so you slammed your door close and locked it to give you more time. You quickly changed and before you could put your hood on, your door unlocked and Shay walked in. "(Y/n)?! Y-your the assassin?" Shay asked in disbelief. You said nothing and pulled your hood on, then opened your window and jumped onto another building and began running, Shay soon close behind.

Your eyes were clouded with tears as you ran and you soon tripped over a brick and fell into a nearby pile of hay on the roof. Shay stopped at it when he heard your whimpering. He pulled you out of the hay and blinked twice. "(Y/n) tell me whats wrong." He asked, more of a demand. "Y-you killed Darby.." You cried. Shay only rolled his in pity and hugged you tightly. "There was nothing I could do about it, it was Grandmaster's orders." He muttered, stroking your (h/l) (h/c) hair. "No good son of a--" you were about to begin cursing, but two gloved fingers pulled up your chin and lips met yours. You were shocked by it's warmth, but the kiss ended as quick as it began. "What was that for?" You asked. Shay was averting his eyes from your with a faint red color painting his cheeks. "You're to young to curse." He muttered. "Im 22." You said blankly. "Still," he smirked slightly, looking back at you, "A beautiful girl like you shouldn't be cursing." Shay cooed. It was your turn to look away and blush. "So.....About you being an assassin." Shay began, but you sighed and kissed him. "Not now Shay, it doesn't matter." You said. "Why don't we race?"
Shay looked at you and smiled. "Sure." He said.
