The sun is setting as Atalanta & Khiry are walking back to Melromarc. Khiry is trying to equip the Leather Gloves, but the gloves pop off of him. He then thought up an idea. He brought his dagger out & it absorbed the Leather Gloves

Khiry: Zangan-Ryu?

Atalanta: What is that?

Khiry: It said, "Zangan-Ryu is a monk martial arts fighting style. It is a combination of some martial arts, such as Shaolin Kungfu, Japanese Karate, & Kick Boxing." This is new.

Atalanta: I believe you have acquired a new Fighting Style. Assassins are known to have to use hand-to-hand combat as well as a knife fight. 

Khiry: Sweet! Hey, Atalanta. Do you have a wish? 

Atalanta: My wish? I have but one wish. Bring happiness to children.

Khiry: Really?

Atalanta: Yeah. I am fond of children. Their smile brings joy.

Khiry chuckle, causing Atalanta to look at him.

Atalanta: What is so funny? 

Khiry: The Symbol of purity towards children really lives up to its name.

Atalanta: You know, I always wanted to know you.

Naofumi POV

After Raphtalia threatens me to get armor. I took her, Mordred, & Astolfo to the diner. Instead of me asking them, they are curious about how I met Khiry, so I told them.

Astolfo: So that was happening.

Me: Yeah. After our school ended, Khiry wanted to visit me during his summer break.

Mordred: How was it?

Me: Well, he had a Japanese to English translation book, & he kinda butchered the names.

Mordred & Astolfo laughed.

Me: He was embarrassed.

I then saw Khiry & Atalanta walked to the door. I then wave, causing the others to look at them.

Mordred: Partner!

Astolfo: We are learning more about you.

Khiry: About what?

Raphtalia: How you mispronounce the names.

Khiry: Naofumi.

Khiry then looks at me.

Me: I know, I know. I wasn't better at English too.

Khiry & Atalanta then sit at our table as my stomach then growl. Mordred & Astolfo then look at Raphtalia.

Raphtalia: That wasn't me.

Me: That was me.

Khiry: Well, seeing those that Atalanta & I did work up an appetite...

Khiry then turns to the waiter.

Khiry: We'll take 6 cheapest lunch special

Me: 6?

Khiry: Naofumi. Raphtalia is not a child anymore. 6 cheapest lunch special.

Waiter: Yes.

The waiter then left as Khiry then turn to us.

Khiry: So, did anything happen while we were out?

Mordred: Naofumi got threaten by Raphtalia.

Atalanta: About what?

Raphtalia: Upgrading his armor.

I then see Khiry looking at my current armor.

Khiry: Well, she does got a point there.

Raphtalia: Are you sure you don't want any armor?

Khiry: I'm positive.

Khiry smiled & petted Raphtalia's head.

Khiry: I understand you wanted me to have some defense, but I'm ok. Did Naofumi tell you about me going blind?

Raphtalia: Yes.

Khiry: The barrel of chemicals did, not Naofumi.

I do feel responsible for his loss of sight, but he smiled like he doesn't care if it is my fault.

The next day as the group then went back to Enhard shop, Khiry is checking out the daggers he got.

Khiry: So many daggers to choose from & upgrade... Huh?

Khiry then sees a red jacket hanging on the shelf.

Astolfo: Hey, Khiry. Naofumi got his armor on.

Khiry: Coming.

Khiry grabs the jacket & went where the others are.

Naofumi: Doesn't this make me look like a typical villain?

Astolfo: A little...

Raphtalia: So cool... It suits you perfectly! You look great!

Enhard: I call it the Barbarian Armor! You're rocking it, kid. You look like a real bandit.

Naofumi: I'm supposed to be a hero, you know.

Khiry: So am I & look how I dress. Speaking of, Enhard, how much are you selling this red jacket?

Enhard: Hmm... That jacket wasn't there before. 

Khiry: It wasn't?

Enhard: No. How much are you willing to pay?

Naofumi: Hey, how did you get that much silver?

Khiry's daggers disappear & his new leather gloves appear.

Khiry: It also changes my fighting style.

Raphtalia: So cool...

Mordred: Nice.

Khiry then put on the red jacket.

Khiry: Huh. Feels like a woman jacket. Huh?

Khiry then started to glow brightly as everyone shields their eyes. as the light died down, Khiry is now a female with the same red jacket, blue dress, & brown boots.

Khiry(Ryougi): Ryougi Shiki.

There was a horse neigh as they then see the knights & villagers are there.

Raphtalia: The whole town is on edge now.

Naofumi: The Wave is nearly here, after all. If only I knew when & where it'll start, I could come up with a plan.

Astolfo: Hey, Khiry. How much time do we have?

Khiry(Ryougi): 21 hours right now.

Naofumi: Huh? How did you know?

Khiry(Ryougi): The dragon hourglass.

Naofumi: Hourglass?

Enhard: You know that church you can see from the town square? There's a huge hourglass inside.

Khiry(Ryougi): When the last grain of sand in it falls, the heroes & their parties will be sent to where the Wave begins.

Naofumi: I see.

Naofumi, Raphtalia, & Khiry(Ryougi) decided to go as Khiry(Ryougi) told his team to either stay here to get a hotel room or head back home. They decided to stay. The trio then met a nun in there as she then led them to the hourglass.

Nun #1: Come this way.

The staircase then came up as both Naofumi & Khiry(Ryougi) look at the dragon hourglass. Naofumi gasped.

Naofumi: Is this the dragon hourglass the king was talking about?

Khiry(Ryougi): Yep.

Khiry(Ryougi) then transform back to himself & brought his dagger up to the hourglass. Naofumi then sees his green gem glowing as both a green beam & a black beam shines on the hourglass, causing Naofumi to check the countdown timer.

Naofumi: It's counting down to the Wave?

Khiry: Yeah, now let's go--

???: Is that Naofumi I see?

Naofumi & Khiry then turn around to see Moyotasu & his team.

Motoyasu: Dude, come on. You're still fighting with such flimsy equipment?

Raphtalia: Who are they, Naofumi-sama?

Khiry: Those are the other heroes who screwed them over because of a little white lie.

Motoyasu: Hey!

Khiry then looks at Motoyasu, who is approaching him.

Motoyasu: You weren't there. He--

Khiry quickly went to Motoyasu & kicked him in his nut, causing the men to cringe in pain. Motoyasu fell to his knees as Khiry grab his ponytail & bring his face close to him.

Myne: How dare you do that too--

Khiry interrupted her by slapping her across the face.

Myne is shocked to hear her real princess name. Khiry then walked away before Ren & Itsuki went up to his left side.

Ren: Hey.

Itsuki: You can't do that.

Khiry stares at them with a yandere stare, causing them to scare a little.

Khiry: If you want, I'm right here. They said, "A cornered mouse NEVER FIGHT."

Khiry(Mind): This is completely different from my own. The first was seeing that vision & the next was when I secretly see the truth behind this mess.

Khiry then turns around to see Naofumi & Raphtalia.

Raphtalia: Are you okay?

Naofumi: Yeah, you managed to make Ren & Itsuki scared.

Khiry: Well, I know you. You're my friend. I believe you. My dad once told me, "If a man really wants to protect what his, he has to do it for himself." I want to help you protect this world, even if I have to swallow my own anger to work with those idiots.

Naofumi then smiled at him.

Naofumi: I see that you are not entirely blind. I just wish I could invite you to a party. 

Khiry: It's ok. I will have one of my party members tail with you. In the meantime, I will see about the other servants & their situation. Besides, can't you throw it like a frisbee?

Naofumi: I can't even take it off.

Khiry: Bull... Let me see-

Khiry interrupted himself when he successfully takes off Naofumi's Shield. The trio stares at the shield as Khiry's eyes then causing him to change into a new class as Naofumi's shield went back on his arm. Khiry then turns into a woman in black & dark blue armor with a huge shield, as tall as she is.

Naofumi: Khiry...

Khiry(Mashu): Huh? Huh?

Khiry(Mashu) then looks at his new form, his new class, & his new shield.

Khiry(Mashu): Huh?! I'm a shielder name Mashu Kyrielight?
