I glanced outside of the window as the cloud shifted below us.

"You alright?" Alex asked.

My heart ached as I recalled what my brother had told me.

Did Olivia and he really kiss?

"I was just thinking of home."

He narrowed his eyes. "You're lying."

"You're reading my mind?"

He scoffed. "I never read your mind. I know you after all these years."

A smug grin appeared on his face.

"You make it easy, barely having changed in terms of personality."

I pouted. 

"How dare you..."

He snickered. "But I'm being honest. That's both a bad and good thing about you."

I leaned my head against my velvet seat.

"I see." I stared out once more.

The cloud below us started to blacken. Sister always said that the Goddess would show a sign of what is to come where one least expected it.

I hoped that my expectations for trouble ahead proved to be wrong as a result. Yet, I was wrong. Oh so wrong...
