The rest of the day went well.

Originally, I expected Jason to be mad.

However, he was more sad.

It was my fault for not having said anything.

But, being the nice guy he was, he forgave me.

I ended up sleeping by myself.

Jason and Ryan were roommates.

Thalia and the healing girl were too.

And obviously Alex and Elliot roomed together.

Being alone was quiet.

Back home, I used to talk to my siblings.

Sometimes we would talk well into the night.

I wonder how they were doing.

I jumped out of bed and grabbed my phone from my jeans.

Father responded.

"Hello?"

"Hey, dad. How are things?"

"Much quieter."

I puffed my cheeks.

"Must be nice."

Father snickered.

"Not really, we kind of miss the noise. How has school been?"

"Good. I met up with Jason."

Silence.

"Dad, are you still there?"

Silence.

"Dad?"

"Ah, sorry. I was just thinking that I forgot something. It's nice that you've reunited with your friend."

"Father, are you feeling well?"

He laughed.

"Of course I am! I didn't expect that you'll meet up with him again. However, be careful around him."

"What?"

"You might end up hurting one another."
