The Quagmires and Baudelaires were hosting a holiday party, and you were invited. At first they were going to invite no one outside of the two families, but once the Quagmires had finally convinced their parents how much help you were in their escape with Count Olaf, it was okay.

You dressed in a nice and simple dress/suit with red and green satin, and topped it by wearing simple black flats.

Couldn't be too flashy for first impressions of course.

Your parents dropped you off at the door and swore to be back at 9 sharp. You cautiously rang the doorbell and the door swung wide open, revealing Isadora who gave you a huge hug.

"Y/N! I'm so glad you're here, Duncan has been eating all the cookies we made for you and I was afraid you weren't going to get any."

You slipped inside as you were greeted by everyone and gave hugs to all except Quigley (who was no where to be found), and the Quagmire parents welcomed you.

"Well, looks like you already know everyone here!" Quagmire said as he shook your hand.

"Nice to meet you honey!" Mrs.Quagmire said, "Are you hungry? I made mac n' cheese."

You silently screamed as mac n' cheese was your favorite food in the entire world, and humbly accepted.

Everyone took a seat at the table and grabbed plates, when Quigley finally walked in.

"Hello Y/N, you look beautiful."

"Hi Quigley. Where have you been?"

"Just upstairs finishing up some homework."

Sunny babbled something and the Baudelaires and other two Quagmire triplets laughed, but you sadly had not quite mastered baby so had no idea what was happening. Quigley's face was redder than your dress.

"Okay children, now we can eat." You ate mac n' cheese and it was a beautiful 20 minutes of laughter and small talk.

Finally, it was time for gifts. Everyone had agreed to do a secret santa, so gifts didn't cost too much, and you had received Violet. You bought her a new set of screwdrivers since she had lost hers awhile ago.

"Thank you Y/N, these are just what I need to finish my latest invention."

Everyone seemed to receive their gifts already except for you. You were very scared someone had forgotten about you.

"Y/N, could you come here?" It was Quigley, he was standing between the doorframe to stairs. You nervously walked over. Quigley took your hand and pulled you in front of him, but turned to look at the whole room.

"There was a time when I thought I would be spending the holidays alone. A time when I thought I was never going to see my siblings or parents ever again, and times when I almost gave up looking because I had lost so much hope.

But then, I met Y/N."-He turned to you-"Y/N, with your intelligence, wit, and humor, you lifted me back on my feet. When I met you, you encouraged me to keep going, and I don't know where I would be without you. So, I wanted to get you something very special for Christmas."

He handed you a small box wrapped in shiny blue, and you carefully opened it. When you looked inside your eyes went wide and your mouth was agape. Quigley had gotten you a beautiful sapphire necklace in the shape of a heart(and matching earrings of course). He pulled it out the box and helped you put it on while you were still in shock.

"Quigley this is beautiful-I don't know what to say. Oh you must've spent a fortune. How can I repay you?" (actually it was probably free because his family owns the sapphires bu-you're right I'm killing the mood sorry.)

"Well, I know one way." He smirked and you both looked up to see mistletoe hanging above your heads.

You pulled Quigley into an electrifying kiss and the whole room cheered. When you disconnected your lips, he smiled-

"That was definitely the best gift I'll ever receive."
