Louis' P.O.V.

it was the night of the Halloween charity ball, my siblings and I had spent most of the day doing final fittings for our clothes and afterwards, we returned home to get ready. My brother Milo was  married to his wife Lucinda, and Lara was already in a relationship with her boyfriend Alex. As the middle child and the only male bachelor in the Hynes family, I had grown a little envious of my siblings wondering how in the world they had managed to find people who loved them.

I decided that tonight was going to be the night that I would find the perfect girl. When the limo arrived, We all got in, and we were on our way to a banquet hall all the way across town. "Are you going to try to find a girl tonight brother?" Milo asked not taking his gaze away from Lucinda's. "Yes, I intend to find the perfect girl, I'll know is the one, when I see her," I answered. "Please, they will be at least a couple hundred women there, it will take you ages to find the girl you love," Lara said as she applied a dark pink lipstick to her lips. 

Soon, we arrived at the ball, and Milo handed each of us a mask to cover our faces. My mask was a simple black mask, while the others were all wearing masks that were covered in glitter and had feathers popping out of the top. When we entered the banquet hall, I quickly scanned the room keeping an eye out for my future love.

After spending a hour dancing and drinking champagne, I had given up hope on finding the perfect girl. But then, I saw a girl in a beautiful dark red ballgown with a mask covered in orange and yellow glitter with small flames on the ends. She walked past me and made her way over to the bar. This is your chance, buy her a drink and ask her to dance with you. The voice in my head shrieked. I quickly walked across the dance floor, and stood next to her. "Can I buy you a drink?" I asked.

She looked over at me and smiled at me. "Sure, I guess," she answered. Her accent was perfect, it was so smooth, and it sounded like a symphony in my ears. For a while, we stood at the bar for a while talking and sipping on our drinks. Even though there were so many interesting things about her, I got distracted thinking about the beauty behind her mask. "Would you like to dance?" I asked her bringing myself out of my daze.

"Sure!" She answered. She took my hand she led me to an empty spot on the dance floor. The song that was playing was a slow song, but it had a steady beat, and it was time to put all those ballroom dancing lessons that I had taken to good use. I felt her wrap an arm around the back of my neck, and I placed my arms around her waist and I stared down at her into her e/c eyes. When the beat changed slightly, I started to twirl her around, and when I dipped her, her mask flew across the floor revealing her identity behind the mask.

She was so beautiful, her eyes starting twinkling when looked at me, she was a little shocked that her mask flew off and she looked like she was about to cry. But before she do anything, I leaned in and kissed her softly. After a couple of seconds, I felt her start to kiss me back. When we pulled apart, she started to blush a few shades of red. I pulled off my mask revealing myself, and her eyes grew wide, and I could see that she was in awe.

"Do you want to come meet my family?" I asked. "Sure," she answered smiling. I softly grabbed her hand and I led her across the dance floor to my family.
