Twitch was scrolling through her feed, looking for new dares, when she felt somebody grab her shoulders.

"You got a dare, Twitchy," Vincent said.

Twitch made a long, frustrated groan, "You saw it."

"Mhm," Vincent grinned. "Now it's time for my revenge for all those forced dares. A dare's a dare, Twitchy."

"I'm always nice to you," Twitch complained. "The dares are good for you."

"Granted," Vincent said. "But I'm taking revenge for everybody else. That and I just want to see this happen."

Twitch sighed, "Fine, I'll just say-"

"Also, you're not allowed to say it's a dare," Vincent said.

Twitch groaned again, "Why me?"

"Yo, Mike!" Vincent yelled.

Mike looked up, "What do you want?"

"It's not what I want," Vincent said. "It's what she wants." He pointed to Twitch.

"Oh, great. Another dare?" Mike stood up and walked over.

Vincent walked off, giving Twitch the double-thumbs-up.

"No, it's not a dare..." Twitch said. "Look, Mike..." Twitch sighed a little, "I was wondering if you wanted to catch up sometime. Outside of work."

Mike raised an eyebrow, "Are you asking me out?"

"I think so," Twitch replied.

"Really?" Mike asked. "Well... I guess... sure. I'd love to go out with you some time. Where to?"

Twitch shrugged slightly, "I'm not really a pro at this kind of thing. Where do you want to go?"

Mike thought on that for a moment, "Dinner?" he asked.

"Alright..." Twitch said.

"Cool," Mike said. "So, I guess... we'll just go after work?"

"Yeah, unless," Twitch looked down at herself, "Am I supposed to wear something more... more... datey?" ((No joke this would be me rn))

Mike snorted with laughter, "If you want to. Just casual."

Vincent wolf-whistled from the other side of the room, "Hey fellas! Looks like we have some chemistry in the lab~"

Twitch realised how close she was standing to Mike and took a few paces back instantly, glaring at Vincent as she did so.

"Yeah, anyway," Mike said, "I'll text you the address of the restaurant. You can get changed, if you like, and then we'll meet up there. But, I've just seen a kid trying to attach a third head to Mangle, and that thing is hideous enough as it is. I'll be right back," Mike ran off towards the Kid's Corner.

~The Magic of the Lazy Author TimeSkip Compels You...~

(( Just remembered another part of this dare omg you guys y u do dis do I have to spell it out a r o m a n t i c. I don't know chiz about dating what do I even write? ))

Twitch looked over the table at Mike, who was reading the menu.

"What do you feel like having?" Mike asked.

"I dunno..." Twitch said, looking at the menu. "I guess I'll just get a steak or something."

"A steak?" Mike raised an eyebrow, "Okay, I'll go with that too." He called over a waitress and ordered for both of them.

Twitch looked out of the window awkwardly until Mike turned back to her, "So... Tell me, what's it like in the dimension where you come from?"

Twitch looked back at him and shrugged slightly, "Not all that different, actually, except that none of," she gestured at Mike and then at the restaurant, "this exists. I can take you there, if you like."

"Really?" Mike asked. "You'd do that?"

"Yeah, sure," Twitch said. "If you want to. It won't be different, though. I mean, we're technically in the year 2016. I can show you iPods, if you like..." She laughed at his confused expression, "It's weird that you guys don't have that stuff yet."

"Sounds great," Mike said. "So, Twitch, that isn't your real name, right? It's a nickname. Scott tells me he knows what your name is, but he won't tell me what. What is your name?"

Twitch smiled a little, "I don't share my name with people I don't know in real life."

Mike frowned, "But you do know me in real life."

"I know," Twitch said and smiled again. "It's a long story. Here's our food."

Mike frowned, a little confused, as their food was placed in front of them.

Twitch said nothing, but thanked the waiter quietly.

"So," Mike said after a while, obviously struggling for topics to bring up. "Ever had a boyfriend before?"

Twitch blinked at him for a second and then shook her head, "I've never even been on a date before."

"Really?" Mike asked, "So, I guess I'm just lucky, then."

"I guess..." Twitch mumbled.

Mike frowned, "Is something wrong?"

Twitch looked up at him and then, remembering Vincent's added condition to the dare, smiled, "No, sorry. I'm just... not used to this. It's strange."

"It's... it's good strange?" Mike asked, "Or... would you rather be somewhere else?"

Somewhere else... Twitch shook her head, "No, no, it's fine. I like being here... with you." It felt weird to say it, mostly because it wasn't true. Well, not in that way.

Mike smiled, "I like being here with you, too."

Twitch smiled politely back and finished off her steak. Mike was already done, but Twitch was used to being the last left eating at a meal. The waiter came back and took their plates.

"So," Twitch said. "You wanna go to my dimension now?"

"Already taking me home to meet the parents, huh?" Mike asked, grinning. "You really are serious about this."

Twitch laughed nervously, "Yeah."

"Well, alright then," Mike stood up, "How does it happen? Do I just... close my eyes and wish myself there?"

"Not really..." Twitch stood up as well. "We better go outside and do it."

"Alright..." Mike walked out, pausing to pay at the counter. Twitch followed.

"Okay, so... we have to..." Twitch grabbed his hand.

"Are you sure this is necessary? Or are you just looking for an excuse to get close to me?~" Mike asked.

Oh my gawd, is he serious right now?  "Watch it, Mike, or I'll transport you straight to the dimension of endless pain. You might feel a little sick. Okay, here we go..." With a sound kind of like somebody pulling a plug out of a bath, reality blinked, popped, swirled, and melted into another dimension.

Mike stumbled a little, putting a hand to his head and groaning, "You weren't kidding..."

"The sickness wears off pretty quickly," Twitch said. "Right, well, here's my dimension. I told you, it looks pretty much the same."

Mike looked around, "So, is this your house?"

"Yeah," Twitch said. "Oh, here..." She walked over to her desk and picked up an iPod, handing it back to Mike. "It's touchscreen."

"Touchscreen?" Mike asked.

"Like this..." Twitch picked it up and unlocked it, swiping the screen a few times and then handing it to him.

"Wow," Mike said, swiping the screen forwards and back.

Twitch laughed a bit, it was kind of funny to see someone so rapt in just a touchscreen. "We better go back."

"Aw," Mike said, "Can't I explore some more?"

"It's not good to know too much about other dimensions, especially ones that are in a closely-related future," Twitch said, and took the iPod from Mike, chucking it onto the bed. "Maybe some other time."

"Okay," Mike said, and took Twitch's hand.

Twitch transported them both back to Mike's dimension, outside of his house. Mike didn't let go of Twitch's hand, which was mildly irritating, but Twitch let him.

"Well, thanks for tonight..." Twitch said.

"Aren't you going to come in?" Mike asked.

"I better not..." Twitch replied. "I better get back to my own dimension for the night. I'm pretty tired."

"Oh," Mike sounded mildly disappointed.

"Yeah..." Twitch was feeling uneasy, because she knew what the rest of the dare was, and it looked like it was now or never.

Mike let go of her hand and turned to look at her, "Thanks for taking me to your dimension."

"No problem..." Twitch said.

"See you tomorrow, then," Mike said.

"Yeah..." Twitch sighed.

And then Mike stepped forward, put his arm around Twitch's waist, and kissed her.

Twitch fought the urge to push him away instantly and clean out her mouth with Listerine. No offence, Mike.

Mike kept at it for a while longer, and then pulled away, "I really like you, Twitch."

Twitch didn't really know what to say to that, she smiled at him a little.

"I know it was a dare," Mike said.

Twitch's eyes widened slightly, and she looked back at him, "What?"

"It was obvious," Mike said. "I knew from when you asked me out. But I decided to take my chance, anyway."

"Oh," Twitch said. "Sorry," she added, because she felt bad about leading him on.

"It's okay," Mike shrugged. "I'm probably the one who should be sorry, for just kissing you like that."

"It's okay..." Twitch said. "So... see you tomorrow, then?"

"Yeah," Mike said. "See you then."

Twitch nodded, then stepped back and teleported away.

Mike sighed and kicked at the ground, then turned around and went inside.
