Hi there! Today I was using my phone when I got a notification notifying me that somebody had tagged me in a comment on a post.

She had commented "OMG! I can't believe you're in this!"
She had tagged me with a couple of others.

I went to the post only to be see a picture with a white background, a silhouette of a man and a woman with the words " Instagram's Ugly List" 
I, unfortunately lost the screenshot but underneath it had said something along the lines of , "The list goes on and on.."

Oh wait! I found it on Google :3

The person who had posted the picture- well- suspiciously, that's their only post. In the caption of the picture, the person had tagged a person with the username "o_click__this_o" who has a link to the "Ugly List" in their bio.

WHY IM WARNING YOU:

When you click the link, it goes on a log-in screen (that the hackers made to look like the real Instagram interface) and it'll prompt you to log-in.
However, don't! You're indirectly giving your Instagram details out to the unknown and they can compromise your account.

Now remember the girl I mentioned at the start? The one who I said had tagged me in a comment under the mysterious post?

Well, she was hacked; simply because she had "logged in" to "view" the "Ugly List"

The hacker will then make your account tag someone you follow/ someone that follows you.  Which made sense because I was following her.

The hacker probably had made her say, "OMG! I can't believe your in this!" to try and get to me! ;~;

Sometimes the hacker can make your friends say mean things like "You're in this! You're so ugly!"
Please don't let this ruin your friendship as this is only a hacker.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO STAY SAFE:

1. If you tried accessing the "Ugly List" by logging in on the fake Instagram login, please change your password to protect yourself ^^

2. Tell anyone you know uses Instagram.

3. Report any accounts that are spamming

4. Stay safe!
