I dare Hoist to hug everyone that is near for the day.

Hoist: *smartly* I'm gonna hug the hardest one first.

Hoist: *to himself* hopefully Hotshot won't kill me.

Hoist: *spots his target and approaches them, Hotshot nowhere in sight*

Hoist: Medix!

Medix: I will warn you now Hoist, Hotshot is hiding in the closet. So whatever you do, you've been warned.

Hoist: *whispers the dare into Medix's audio*

Medix: excuse me for a second *walks over to the closet and then blocks it with a chair* okay you're safe no- OOF! *bursts out laughing as Hoist hugs him*

Hotshot: *rabid animal noises from within the closet as he tries to break down the door*

Medix: *rolls his optics as he looks up at Hoist* I'll deal with him and attempt to calm him down. Come back for him later, preferably when he's around me.

Hoist: thanks Medix *waves as he walks out, immediately spotting a Wedge in the halls* WEDGE!

Wedge: *oh hell nahhhhh*

*30 seconds later*

Wedge: *SUPER annoyed*

Hoist: *snickering as he walks away* thanks for the hug Wedge!

Wedge: *yelling* whatever! Go hug your femmefriend!

Hoist: oh I'm saving her for last!

Wedge: *wait what* WAIT IS SHE REALLY YOUR FEMMEFRIEND?!?!

Hoist: *cheekily walks away*

*later*

Hoist: *laughing as he's being crushed with hugs from Boulder and Blades*

Blades: you should never have to ask for hugs from us!

Boulder: even if it's not a dare!

Hoist: *giggling* thanks Professor Boulder. Thanks Professor Blades.

Boulder and Blades: anytime!

Blades: *looks over at Heatwave and Chase* come on you two. Join in! We all love Hoist!

Heatwave: I'm... not much of a hugger...

Chase: same here. I prefer a firm handshake.

Boulder: sure you do.

Salvage: well, thankfully, I'm a big hugger!

Hoist: *laughs more when Salvage crushes him along with Blades and Boulder in a hug*

Blurr: *dives in* LET ME JOIN!

Quickshadow: I'll join for the sake of Hoist completing his dare *joins in*

Servo: *yips excitedly as he jumps in and attacks Hoist with helperbot kisses*

Hoist: *laughing in pure glee*

Chase: *okay he's been convinced* oh... alright. I'll join in as well *heads to the group and actually proves himself to be a great hugger*

Heatwave: *DAMMIT he's a softie* fine..... but I'll only do it for TWO seconds! No more! *joins in*

Hoist: *WHOLESOME giggles as he realizes how loved he is*

*later after that awesome moment*

Medshot: *walking down the hall*

Hoist: *relaxes when he realizes how calm Hotshot is*

Medix: *literally gives him a 👌 to let him know it's okay*

Hoist: *sigh of relief* hey Hotshot!

Hotshot: *immediately protects Medix*

Medix: *rolls optics skyward* not me dimwit. He's gonna hug you-

Hotshot: *already running toward Hoist*

*epic brohug ensues, followed immediately by laughter*

*that night*

Whirl: *working in the lab, completely exhausted from her long day*

Hoist: *casually walks in undetected*

Whirl: *sighs heavily but then smiles warmly when Hoist hugs her from behind* hey Hoist.

Hoist: *brings her close* hey Whirl. You feeling okay?

Whirl: not really... I've had a very long day... *leans back into him* but it's getting better now that you're here.

Hoist: *smiles as he kisses her cheek sweetly* call it payback for all the times you've went above and beyond for me.

Whirl: *faces him as she hugs him tightly* and I'll still continue to do that for you.

Hoist: *hugs her back as he says sweetly* thanks Whirl. But for now, let's focus on you. Let's get you out of this room and into the break room to binge watch Brooklyn Nine-Nine together.

Whirl: *kisses him sweetly* you're the best mechfriend ever.

Hoist: and you're the best femmefriend ever *holds her servo as they walk out of the lab together*

Whirl: *lovingly leans into him as they walk into the break area*

Medix: *THAT'S HIS OTP* *looks into the camera* I believe this means that Hoist has completed his dare. And has also proven that he and Whirl are finally together!
