Q: Is parents hitting you normal? I don't mean the typical single spank when you've been super bad but more like multiple kicks, slaps, or even being hit with an object when all you do is bounce your leg when they're chewing loudly (I'm really sensitive to sounds). I have tried telling my parents that what they do hurts me, but they said that "it's completely normal" and they "had it way worse" than I do. Everybody I know has very nice parents who don't look like they would ever hit their children. What do you think I should do?

A: No, it is not normal. You should immediately tell an adult you trust. This is not okay, and if you are not okay with it and they don't listen and still hurt you, this is abuse.
