Theodore: Oooh! What's the dare?

Simon: The dare is for all of us. She says, "I dare them all to play pirates."

Theodore: Whoo hoo! I loooove playing pirates!

Alvin: Eh... aren't we a little too old for that?

Simon: Riiiight. So we're just gonna pretend I DIDN'T see you play hide and seek with Theodore the other week.

Alvin: Only 'cause I PROMISED him!

Theodore: *with no excitement* After he asked me to pretend to be in danger, so he could save me in front of the class, and in return he'd play a game of-

Alvin: No need for the details, Teddy Boy! Let's just get this dare over with, already.

Theodore: Yipee! Well, first off, we're gonna need pirate names. I call Snack Sparrow! You know, a play-on-words with-

Alvin: Jack Sparrow. Yeah, we KNOW!

Eleanor: *giggles* That's actually kinda funny! Anyways, imma be Chef Knife. The cabin's sous chef, and a pretty exceptional pirate, too.

Simon: And I'm Captain Book. A play-on-words with-

Alvin: Captain HOOK! We get it! What's with all the terrible puns? Anywho, imma be Captain Redbeard. Red IS my signature colour, after all.  Saaaayyyy... you've been quiet for a while, Britt. What's YOUR name?

Brittany: I guess I'll be... Captain Shadow. Mysterious like shadows, but also cause it sounds like eye shadow.

Alvin: *eye roll* Of course:

Jeanette: I guess I'll be... Captain Goldheart. A kind yet skilled captain, with a true heart of gold.

Theodore: Aww, that was beautiful, Jeanette!

ROLE-PLAYING IN THE CHIPMUNKS' TREEHOUSE!

Captain Redbeard: Throw me your sword, Snack Sparrow!

Snack Sparrow: Aye aye, captain! *tosses the sword*

Captain Goldheart: *swipes the sword* Ha ha!

Redbeard: Barnacles! Those nerds have stolen our sword once again!

Goldheart: Captain Book, catch! *tosses the sword*

Captain Book: *jumps in the air and skilfully catches it* Come, Goldheart. We shall open the booty together! *run away together*

Redbeard: GET THEM!!!!!!!

Captain Shadow: *sharpening her nails on the wheelbarrow* Redbeard, fetch me another nail filer. Mine's busted.

Redbeard: I'm not your slave, princess!

Shadow: Princess? GRRRR!!!! How dare you? I, Redbeard, am the feistiest pirate of the seven seas-

Redbeard: *sniggers* Pssshhh... Yeah RIGHT. You wish. I mean, what kinda pirate files their nails all day?

Shadow: THIS pirate. *sneakily steals Redbeard's pirate hat and runs away*

Redbeard: GET BACK HERE, SHADOW!!!!

Shadow: That's CAPTAIN Shadow to you. *runs away*

Redbeard: Barnacles!

Sparrow: You sure love saying barnacles, don't you?

Redbeard: Teddy Boy, fetch me some prawns from the cabin. Redbeard's feeling snacky.

Sparrow: Oh boy! I'll get the soy sauce, too! *runs down to the cabin*

Book: *uses Redbeard's sword to open the chest* Well, Goldheart, we're about to be riiii- WHAT?

Goldheart: *gasps* It's empty!

Book: It was that rat Redbeard. I'm SURE of it.

Goldheart: Shall we get revenge?

Book: I thought you'd never ask! *run away together to fight Redbeard*

Five violent minutes later...

Redbeard: *walking backwards on the treehouse plank* No!!! *wails* PLEASE!

Goldheart: You will PAY for your actions, Redbeard!

Book: WALK THE PLANK, YOU DIRTY TAR PIGTAIL.

Redbeard: *on the edge of the plank, about to fall to his doom* NO!!! GUYS, WAIT! I think I'm actually gonna fall to-

Book: We don't have time for your trash talk. WALK THE PLANK!

Redbeard: *trips over the edge of the plank and falls* AAAARRGGGHHH!!!

Goldheart: Uhh... Simon? There isn't actually water down there. It's solid ground.

Book: Oh boy. *looks over the edge* Alvin! You alright?

Redbeard: *groans and rubs his head* I never eat my barnacles with mushrooms... *groans*

Goldheart: Concussion?

Book: Yeeeaaahh... whoops.

Goldheart: Well, that's what he gets for stealing our booty, right?

Sparrow: *giggles*

Book: What's so funny, Theodore?

Sparrow: You said booty! *chuckles*

Goldheart: Oh, Theodore. 'Booty' means treasure chest in pirate-

Book: You can save your breath, Jeanette. *looks at the camera* See ya next time! And we can't wait for your Chipmunk Awards entries!
