Brittany: Whoop whoop! It's episode 30, partay people!

Eleanor: Congrats, everybody! *looks at the camera* You too, guys!

Alvin: We've made it to episode 30 of our world-renowned Chipmunk Podcast!

Brittany: I JUST said that, Alvin.

Simon: World-renowned? Really, Alvin? It's barely-

Alvin: DO YOU HAVE TO RUIN EVERYTHING, SIMON?

Simon: I mean... if it's factually correct, then, yes. If not-

Alvin: Yeah yeah, we get the point. Now get to the dare already!

Jeanette: Today is... ooh, a question AND dare from @Aaminah246!

Simon: I don't know if I should be excited or scared.

Jeanette: Well, if you CAN do this, be excited. If not, you may end up freaking out.

Theodore: Oh no! What are we going to do?

Alvin: Do the dare obviously, Theo. What else? Anyways, who's it for, Jean?

Jeanette: Uhh... it's kinda for ALL of us...

All: SAY WHAT NOW?

Jeanette: She asks - and dares: "Can you swim-

Theodore: NO!

Jeanette: ... I dare you to do it anyway."

Theodore: What?! *wails* That's so cruel!

Simon: Oh damn-

Alvin: Psssh... a piece of cake for the muscular athletes like yours truly, and I guess Eleanor has a shot, too. Not so much for the uh... *looks at Si and Jean* skinny uncoordinated nerds... *looks at Theo* slightly overweight foodies... *looks at Britt* fashionistas who can barely run a metre... not pointing out anybody in particular, hehe...

Simon: You literally couldn't have made that more obvious.

Alvin: Aaaanyways, let's answer this question one by one. Can I swim? YEAH. DUH! Now over to you, Si? Can YOU?

Simon: Of course I can. But for long distances, I don't think my cardiovascular strength is that sturdy-

Alvin: OKAY, thanks, Mr. Nerdy Science! What about you Theo? Can you swim?

Theodore: I, uh... not that well... I mean, with armbands and floats I'm great! Not so much without them...

Alvin: Oof. Looks like it's gonna be a tough one for Teddy Boy. Britt?

Brittany: I'll have you know, I'm a GREAT swimmer-

Eleanor: Uh, she's hell-scared of water.

Brittany: Ellie!

Eleanor: Ya welcome! *laughs* It's true, though. The deepest she could go is in her hot bath.

Alvin: Yikes! Good luck, Britt!

Brittany: *eye roll* THANKS.

Alvin: Et toi, Jeanette?

Jeanette: I'm alright at swimming. Not some kind of athlete like you and Ell-

Alvin: Ah-ha! There it is! See, guys? She just called me an athlete! I'm glad to know SOME people around here appreciate talent when they see it.

Eleanor: Oh brother. Don't gas him up, Jean.

Jeanette: I didn't mean- Never mind. I guess I'm on the same level as Simon when it comes to swimming.

Simon: I, uh, don't know whether I should feel happy, or insulted by that.

Jeanette: It's a compliment, really!

Alvin: Eleanor? Good or bad at swimming?

Eleanor: I mean, ya kinda answered the question FOR me at the start.

Alvin: I know. But I wanna see where YOU think you're at.

Eleanor: Pro. Obviously. An expert at like ALL sports... except for maybe squash... when I was brutally beaten by some kid-

Alvin: Anywhoooo... Let's get right to it! Everybody, in your swim gear! Let's go out to our pool!

All: WHOO HOO!

Ten minutes later...

Alvin: UGH! Where's Britt?

Jeanette: Probably fixing her makeup.

Alvin: Why? What's the point? It's gonna wash off in the pool anyway.

Brittany: *comes to the pool* Incorrect as usual, Alvin. See, this is my WATERPROOF makeup, so it hopefully should stay on.

Alvin: What-EVER! Just come on, already! Now, we're all gonna swim from one end of the pool to the other.

Alvin's swim:

All: Ready! Set! Go!

Alvin's racing across the pool like a pro swimmer, the water spiralling so fast it makes the Chipmunks all wet. He gets to the other side, breaks a sweat, but isn't out of breath at all.

Simon: Wow, Al. I underestimated your abilities. You HAVE talent... in some things, at least,

Alvin: Why thank you, Si, which remind me: you're up next!

Simon: Do I really have to swim in front of EVERYBODY? It makes me nerv-

Alvin: Chicken! BAWK BAWK BA BA BAWK!

Simon: I'm not a chicken!!!

Alvin: Then quit your moping and get out there!

Simon's swim:

All: Go!

He swims at a steady pace, in a perfect straight line, elegantly gliding across the water effortlessly without causing any splashes. He made it to the end, slightly out of breath.

Alvin: Tired already? Please! It was one lap!

Simon: What can I say? It's like you said: I'm a skinny uncoordinated nerd. It's a WONDER you know what that means.

Alvin: I don't. I just think it sounds brutal, so I use it.

Simon: Fair enough. Theo, your turn.

Theodore: Oh, can I use armbands?

Alvin: Um, if ya want, but it won't be as impressive.

Theodore: I'm fine with that!

Theo's swim

All: Ready, go!

Theodore bobs up and down in the pool, falling off his balance sometimes but eventually made it to the end.

All: Yay, Theo!

Brittany: My turn! C'mon, make-up, let's show 'em what we've got.

Alvin: Eeeesshh...

Brittany's swim

She swims alright, sometimes screaming as she feels like she's gonna drown, but ended up fine at the end, slightly traumatised by the experience.

It was Jeanette and Eleanor's turns next. Jeanette swam surprisingly fast, and matched up Alvin's speed! And Eleanor swam like a pro, just like she said.

Alvin: Wow, Jean! You're actually a decent swimmer! Why didn't you say anything about it?

Jeanette: Promise less, deliver more. That's why you don't make your ideas sound too extravagant if you're actually never gonna pull it off. I wanted to surprise y'all!

Simon: Impressive! Anyways, guys, see you next time!
