The High Mountains, Part 3
Maybe you can find a not so dangerous way down the mountain!
"That's difficult when you're being chased by a big fucking cat!" Horror yells. "Where's an axe when you need one?"
Ok! Do you guys have any meat or anything on you at the moment?? Maybe try looking around for some. Then you can distract it. But first find a hiding spot. There should be a cave around somewhere. Try looking for one.
"No!" Nightmare growls. "Geno, if you don't make yourself useful I'm going to let them use you a a chew toy!"
Geno doesn't respond. But realising that he doesn't particularly feel like dying by the jaws of a big cat, he summons a number of bones and shoots them at it.
The leopard very easily avoids the bones, leaping around the landscape it knows so well. Suddenly Horror loses his footing, almost tripping over the edge of a cliff. Nightmare catches him, but he's not happy.
"Stars, must I do everything around here?" He grumbles.
Well if y'all just moved a few minutes ago y'all been able to find a way OUT of the damn mess
Also find either some more company or the safest spot you could find
"Oh fuck you!" Nightmare hisses. "Do something useful or shut the fuck up!"
This has gotta be a snow leopard. The elevation matches as well as its description.Usually they ambush their prey, and have been recorded to successfully hunt in pairs, which makes me think you guys might be running into a trap.
"Fantastic! I'm going to die surrounded by complete imbeciles!" Nightmare turns a sharp corner, almost falling as he did so. They keep running, only to find themselves at a dead end. "Shit!"
The leopard leaps.
Me: *roars at the leaopard nad turns full Light FUry; shoots a plasma blast at the ground to spook it* You guys want me to pass some ofm y magic on to you guys?
The leopard roars angrily, backing away for just a moment. Nightmare looks just about ready to jump across the gap he's come to when he realises there is a second leopard there. Without any other clear option, he jumps to the side, off the mountain.
Nightmare's goopy body deforms, wrapping itself around Horror and Geno in a sphere. They tumble down the mountain side, leaving the two hungry leopards behind. When they reach a flatter part of the mountain, they crash and Nightmare's body splatters everywhere. Horror and Geno seem to be fine.
All of the black goop forms back together, recreating Nightmare, who groans in pain. "God I hate this..."
"Well thank the Creators you're an octopus." Horror sighs.
"I'm not a fucking octopus!"
"Be quiet!" Geno hisses. "Do you want them to know we survived?"
