Ashton's point of view

"Hey Ash, we can see Autumn now." Michael told me and I jumped up out of my chair. "Woah, calm down there."

"Sorry Cal, I'll see you in a bit." I said and then ran to the receptionist at the front. "Autumn Irwin's room please."

"The same as your friend except room one hundred one." She told me and I nodded. I ran down that lane again and opened the door to the room.

I walked in and I saw Autumn. "Autumn? How are you feeling?" I asked her and she looked at me, her eyes bloodshot and puffy. "Not good then?"

"Not-Not at all." She said and sniffled. "Doctor just left Ash. Guess-Guess what he just said?" She asked and I hummed.

"What did he say Autumn?" I asked her and took a seat in one of the chairs. "What happened?"

"He said I can't have kids Ash." She told me. "He said something happened, I don't remember all the big words, but he said I can't have kids of my own." She said and then broke down.

"You want kids?"

"Yes!" She cried. "Not-Not now but I do when I'm older!" She told me and I nodded. "I can't believe it."

"Hey hey hey, it's okay." I said and went to her hospital bed. I carefully sat beside her and then wrapped my arms around her, careful of the needles and stuff. "It'll be okay."

"I can't have kids Ash... no one wants to be with a girl if she can't give them a family." She said and cried harder.

"There's always adoption and I think that's how lesbian couples work." I told her and she sniffled, clearly not finding that remark the slightest bit amusing. "You could always adopt a kid you know?"

"It's not the same. It won't be the same." She said and I rubbed her back. "Oh my god. Is Calum okay? I forgot to ask about him! Ashton, is he okay?"

Woah, what a sudden change of mood. Maybe it's the drugs she was given.

"He's fine. He's chilling in his hospital bed with an ice pack and listening to Green Day." I told her, not mentioning the mood swing, and she nodded.

"That's good." She said and then sighed. "Do you think he'll still want to be with me if I told him that I can't have kids?" She asked me and I grimaced a bit at the idea.

"I don't want to know!" I said and she looked at me, clearly needing an answer from me. "Yes he will. He's really into you and he won't just drop it because of something that's not your fault."

"Look on the brightside, you can fuck without condoms now, if you're both clean that is ." Someone pitched in and we looked at the door. I glared at her and she walked over, her heels clinking against the tiles. "How are you Autumn?"

"Why would you care Taylor? I thought you were done with me?" Autumn said and I nudged her.

"I'm done with having to be the one baby-ing you and holding your hand through everything." She said and nodded. "But I'm not done with you. I care about you."

"If you did you would have watched what you fucking said to me the night I was kidapped. Or maybe have been a little bit more considerate." Autumn snapped and Taylor laughed.

"Sorry about that, I got angry because I wanted to break up with you and you were making me and Luke the bad guys. We aren't bad people for showing feelings towards each other." She said and I wanted to scoff.

"It doesn't make you bad people, what makes you bad people is sneaking behind my back and lying straight to my face. If you told me you were into him and wanted to break up with me, you should have said so. I spent so long pushing it away and making up scenarios that clearly weren't the case." She said and I agreed.

"Aren't you lesbian?" I asked Taylor and she looked at me as if she just realized that I was here. Nice feeling.

"I was but then I started questioning it after I saw Luke because he's really attractive." She said and I rolled my eyes. "Besides, shouldn't you be asking your sister that?"

"I honestly don't care what she is because she's the heartbroken one who was lied to and cheated on." I said and she rolled her own eyes.

"How biased of you." She said and looked at Autumn. "So, what are you?" She asked Autumn.

"Don't know, don't care. Right now I just want you to leave and I want Calum. I need to know if he's okay." Autumn said and looked down. "He didn't deserve all of what's happened to him."

"I'm just came from his room, doctor said he's allowed to walk around. I'll bring him by with the others." Taylor said and after she turned around, I flipped her off. "Put that finger down Irwin, you're not hurting anyone." She said before walking away.

"She irritates me sometimes."

"She has always irritated me but I can't be too mad at her, after all she brought you to me." I said and she smiled. "So I guess what tattoo was for nothing then, right?"

"Probably but I bet she's going to hit me with the 'we can be friends though' crap. Watch." Autumn said and I laughed.

"I don't doubt it love." I said and kissed her temple. "Do you want anything to drink? I'm going to grab a few water bottles from the vending machine in the cafeteria."

"Yeah, a cold water bottle sounds amazing. Thanks Ash." She said and I nodded. I stood up and theb ealked out of her room as the others came walking down the hall.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm gonna get some water bottles." I said and Luke nodded, following me. "Don't want to see the girl you broke?"

"I-I didn't break her... I can't help my feelings Ash." He said and I rolled my eyes. "I don't hate her, I was envious okay?"

"I don't want a sob story on how you fell in love with a girl and wrecked her relationship with her girlfriend okay?" I said and he was quiet. "I just want to know why you were so rude to my sister everytime you saw her."

"I was jealous."

"What is this? High school? You were jealous so you gave her shit about the littlest things?" I asked him and he was quiet. "Let's not talk about this, it's supposed to be a happy day. Autumn is okay, Calum is okay, and my dad is going to jail."

"Oh shit, ws-" Luke said as he bumped into someone and I glared at him. "I'm so sorry beautiful." He said as he saw a little girl.

"Nice going, make children cry Luke. Here, just go buy some water bottles and get them back to Autumn's hospital room." I said and handed him some money.

He took it from me and I bent down to the little girl. "Hello love, are you okay?" I asked her asked she wiped her eye. She couldn't be any older than seven years old.

"Luke doesn't like me."

"You know his-Oh yeah, I said his name." I said dumbly. "No no no, he likes you. It's okay. He was just shocked since he almost fell. Don't cry." I said softly as she wiped her eye.

"I'm sorry." She said and I looked at her, just noticing the burns she had and that half of her hair was missing and the '5 Secondsof Summer' wristband on her wrist. "Do you hate me Ash?" She asked me.

"No, of course not darling. I love you." I said and smiled as she toyed with the tiny bracelet. "I'm sorry about Luke okay? He's been having a rough time lately and he was just shocked."

"It's okay." She said and giggled. "Can I kiss your cheek?" She asked me and I nodded as I smiled.

She kissed my cheek and I chuckled. "I love you." She said and I chuckled. I looked at her blue eyes and smiled.

"Thank you love." I said and nodded. I took my red bandana off and she looked at me. "What happened love?" I asked as I looked at her hair.

"Fire." She answered shyly and I nodded. "I know, I'm not pretty. I'm sorry." She said as she looked down. I wrapped my bandana around her forehead and she looked at me as I tied it.

"I think you're beautiful." I said and smiled. "Where's your parents love?" I asked and she shook her head.

"Gone."

"I'm sorry to hear." I said and stood up. "Come on, let's go to a nurse." I said and she grabbed ahold of my hand.

"Cassady! There you are!" A lady said as she saw me. She walked over and picked the child up. "I'm sorry-Oh, you're from that band."

"Yeah, and I'm terribly sorry for keeping her. She walked up to me and was like 'I love you' and my heart couldn't handle it." I said and smiled.

Cassady reached to take the bandana off but I shook my head. "Keep it, just promise me to always remember that you're beautiful, no matter your scars." I sakd and smiled.

"Thanks Ash." She said and I shrugged. "Do we have to go now?" She asked the nurse.

"I'm afraid so. Thank you so much for bringing her back to me Ashton, means a lot." The nurse said and I nodded.

"Of course." I said and the two walked away. I turned around myself and then made my way to Autumn's hospital room.

The fact a seven year old girl that she wasn't beautiful because of her scars just makes my heart clench. She shouldn't have to worry about beauty at such a young age.

I sighed and then entered the room. "Where have you been Ash?" Michael asked me. "Where's your bandana?"

"On the head of a little girl who thought she was ugly because of her burns from a fire." I told him and I nodded. "Luke nearly yelled at her for getting in his way so I had to stop her from crying."

"Luke!" Taylor scolded. "That's a child. You don't yell at a child, especially if they're in a hospital for getting burned."

"Sorry, I didn't know! I wasn't mad at her getting in the way, just mad because I could have hurt her and I didn't want that." He said and I rolled my eyes and I stood beside Michael.

"So you can't have kids then?" Calum asked and I looked at Autumn. She shook her head and Calum laughed.

"Not a laughing matter Hood." Michael said warningly before Calum wrapped his arms around an upset Autumn.

"Laugh again, I dare you." I said threateningly because Autumn was so upset over it. You don't just laugh at something like this.

"I'm not laughing at you baby, I'm laughing at the fact you thought I'd leave you for not being able to have kids." Calum said and I narrowed my eyes at him. "Okay so maybe I was laughing at you a little bit but that's only because you're blind."

"Don't you want kids?"

"I-Eh-Let's talk about that when we aren't in a room full of people ready to jump my bones." Calum said and I glared at him a bit.

I know he wants kids, he's told me before. He was a little boy and a little girl, but he wants to boy to be older so his daughter can gave a protective older brother. I know this.

Autumn nodded and leaned more into Calum. "So? When can you leave?" Michael asked Autumn.

"Soon." She answered and I huffed.

"That better mean within the next week. Hospitals make me all anxious." I told them and they laughed, agreeing with me.
