Training !

I wasn't so keen on using my abilities in front of others of fear I may hurt someone, it's not the same use little energy (lightings) to other people, I did it because I was comfortable on using some, but use that much as like I did the night before, in the C.I.A headquarters when Shaw attacked, it actually freaked me out and being nervous with this ability it's not good, so to say I was nervous was an understatement, lights flickered in each hallway I was in, I cursed under my breath at the lights

"Why the hell you can't be quiet about it? Why don't just flicker all the damn lights in all the mansion to alert everyone of my dear and presence?"

I cursed all the way into my bedroom, Raven showed me when we arrived, as being the only two girls, well, including Moira, we could own a hallway just for us, so I had Raven in front of me and Moira at the end of the hallway.

I entered, the lights flickering in my presence, I rolled my eyes and looked for something comfortable to train with, some black gym pants and a black top, I looked in the mirror when I put those, the black making my white pale skin stand and make it more visible, my electric blue eyes scanning my figure in the mirror, a young, white pale 17 year old girl with blue eyes and dark brown hair, my wig still in place, even standing with other mutants, I couldn't give myself the comfort of walking around in my true form, with blue hair, I still had the fear of someone calling me 'freak' or just look at me disgusted and turned around and don't talk to me, I knew they weren't like this, but I still had the doubt, so while Charles and Erik or even the others stayed quiet about it, I'll wear my wig protecting myself of 'getting hurt'.

I walked out of my bedroom as soon as I was comfortable of what I chose to wear, I put my wig in a ponytail, some of my natural blue hair coming underneath the wig, making look like highlights, I walked down the hallway to the gym, this time remembering where it was, I stopped when I realized something, I looked up, the lights were normal, no flickers, the normal intensity, I grinned and chuckled, I was getting good at controlling it, without actually trying, I continued walking to the gym where I could see Raven working out, I need it some muscle so I joined, besides she looked like she need it company, she looked up at me when I entered and waved at me grinning

"Hey, I was wondering if I could join you, you looked lonely" I said the last with a teasing smile, she chuckled and nodded

"Yeah, I was feeling lonely" she said laughing, I laughed too but stopped closing my eyes annoyed when a lamp near us broke, Raven flinched at the sound, I opened my eyes scoffing

"Great, I can't be the slight happy because this happens" I said motioning the broken lamp, Raven looked at me sympathetic, I sighed and looked at ground, glaring at the floor, a couple of seconds passed and then I felt a hand in my shoulder, I looked up to see Raven's face smiling softly at me

"Don't worry, Kat, you'll find a way to control your power, Charles would help you, we are here for you, Okay?" I nodded and we did some exercise

After a while, we joined the others in the kitchen, there was a large dinning table where Sean and Hank sat, we were called media our heads by Charles, to reunite in the kitchen to have dinner, we were a little sweaty by our exercise, but I found it worth it, I sat between Alex and Sean, my usual place since I met them, next to Alex was Raven and next to her sat Charles, opposite me was Hank and Erik was next to Sean, we were eating something Hank made, I didn't know he was such a good cook, we ate in silence, sometimes a light would flicker in the living room, apparently no-one else noted it so I was good with it, just so the flickering wouldn't appear in the kitchen, I was fine with it in the living room, I think I got used to it, but I couldn't help but be annoyed every time it happened.

"Tomorrow, Sean and I will have our training at midday, at 6 I want you Alex and Kat with me, your training would be at the same time" Charles voice broke the silence created in the table, I looked up alarmed when he said Alex and mine's training would be at the same time, I exchanged a look with Alex, he didn't look to good with Charles idea, we both had dangerous mutations.

"But..." I started saying and Charles cut me off raising his hand at me

"You'll be okay, Kat, both of you will be, now, I'll start for something simple, can you focus on establish the lights on the living room? The buzzing it's annoying" I snapped my head up when he said that, I was sure no one noted it, the others exchanged a confused look, he looked at me calmly with a reassuring smile, I took a deep breath and focus in what I wanted, a couple of seconds later I heard a buzzing sound and opened my eyes, Charles smiled at me

"See, all good" I looked to the living room, the lights had a good intensity, I smiled proud and looked at him smiling

"Yeah, I did it" we all smiled and kept eating, this day ended good and we left to sleep with smiley faces, forgetting I was probably going to do something dangerous

I woke up with a start, my wig was in the floor and my hair was in static, it flooded up and down with my movement, I found it rather amusing than frustrating, I guess having as an ability control all kinds of energy had its up and downs, one of them being this one, my hair felt as it had no gravity, it was like people expresses "Your hair has electricity", well, I wouldn't put it that way, I control electricity, so I guess I had it coming for use it that much yesterday.

I shook my head amused at how funny it looked my hair flooding, I chuckled and got a shower, but hesitated when I felt static in my hair, having doubts if I would electrocute myself I got into shower, I shut my eyes closed waiting for the electricity hurt me, but then it didn't happened, at the contrary, I found it pleasant, the small electric charge it was in my hair roamed all my body, it was relaxing, I smiled and finished my shower.

I walked down stairs when I finished to get ready, wearing something similar of what I used yesterday, putting my wig up with a ponytail and headed to the kitchen to grab something to eat, I wasn't in the mood to cook, not that I wasn't bad, it's just I had an electric oven in my house and every time I would try to cook, it wasn't a good idea, when I was near the oven the flames would raise up and I ended up glaring at the oven, making the microwave, the toaster, the coffee machine  and the fridge go nuts, so I never tried again.

When I entered the kitchen, Sean and Alex where there, looking for something to eat, I looked at them curiously

"No mood for cook?" I asked amused, they jumped startled by my voice and looked towards me, they shook their heads, I nodded and headed to the fridge to grab an Apple or something healthy like that, they looked at me amused

"Neither do you, as we can see" Sean smirked at me raising his eyebrows to the Apple, I shrugged

"Well, try to use an electric oven with my ability to make something to eat" I said, Alex chuckled probably imagining it, I shot him a glare, he raised his arm in mock surrender

"Sorry" he said not sorry at all "But I can imagine you trying to cook like that" I rolled my eyes and bite the apple siting down in chair in front the dining table while Sean laughed at me, imagining it too.

Charles and Hank entered to the kitchen frowning at Sean, who was laughing sending questionably looks at Alex who was in front of me smiling amused at Sean, who was making some weird moves mocking someone trying to be near the oven and jumping back to not touch the fire of it and me looking grumpy in front of them, Charles looked at us for a moment with his head tilted aside, probably reading our minds, 'They are laughing at me, because a stupid oven, Charles' I thought angrily, but not to much to hurt them, I was still amused at them, I couldn't be angry, Charles cracked a smile chuckling, stopping when I glared at him, but then he couldn't stop the small smile it formed at his lips, I couldn't stop it and smiled back.
