5 o'clock couldn't come as quickly as I thought, I did some studies, boring studies but I did, like Charles said, he'll know if I didn't.

5 o'clock and I was standing in my training clothes, a black top and pants, my hair hidden under my brown haired wig, in a pony tail, the only thing showing my mutation were my eyes and pale skin, even if I don't liked it, eye contacts bothered me to much and I couldn't make-up my skin to a tan color, it was to much money to spend in make up, so my skin and eyes were the only thing that proved I was different.

"There you are, I thought i was gonna need to mind call you" Charles teasing voice came from behind me, I span around to smile at him sarcastically

"Well, I want to learn control, so...." I trailed off smiling and swinging my arms awkwardly, he chuckled and lead us to the bunker

In the bunker were two chairs and a table in there, I looked at it confused, but nodded understandingly when he put a lamp, a flashlight and a stereo in the table, knowing this was how he was gonna help me

"Okay, first your training would be here, because we'll be safe in here" I nodded remember what happened the last time I trained here, I walked behind him and he motioned me at one of the chairs, siting himself in the one in front of me, the table next to both of us.

Charles leaned forward looking at me cautiously for a couple of minutes, his forefinger and middle finger in his temple "So, this is my training? You staring at me like I'm some kind of freak?" I said without thinking, Charles widened his eyes slightly before furrowing his eyebrows, putting his hand in his lap, I looked down realizing what I just said

"You're not a freak, Katerina, that we made it clear when we first met" he said calmly and kind, I nodded, I heard him sigh "But I was checking your mind, if you want to know" I looked up "I need to know how your abilities work, so I can help you control them" I smiled, he raised his hand to his temple, "May I?" He asked with his forefinger and middle finger in his temple, I nodded and he looked at me cautiously again reading my mind, this time I let my mind freely open so it wouldn't be difficult for him, we sat for at least to minutes, Charles reading my mind trying to figure it out how my abilities work and me, bored turning the lamp on and off, smiling smugly everything the lamp obeyed me without struggle.

"Okay" Charles clapped breaking my focus on the intensity of the light in the lamp, making it shattered it, I flinched away in surprise

"I think I know how to help you" he said ignoring the shattered lamp, i tore my gaze of the broken lamp to Charles, who hold the flashlight in his hand, standing up from the chair, he walked to the center of the room and turned around to face me

"I know how your abilities work, I've seen your mind of the first time you arrived here, you used too much of your ability in at least two consecutive days, the reaction of your body, well it was interesting" he chuckled and I looked at him confused

"I don't understand" I stated with my arms in a shrug

"I knew you don't, but I just did" I raised my eyebrow to tell him to continue "Your body it's like an outlet, Katerina, technically it's designed to let you control, manipulate and possibly absorb energy" I looked down, his work sinking in my head, my eyes lit up in realization, the static in my hair

"Yes, the use of your abilities it has an effect like that in your body" I scoffed slightly shaking my head "But it gave me the answer of how to help you, that's the reason why you can't control your abilities and the light flicker every time you get excited or get another strong feeling" I furrowed my eyebrows thinking

"What does that mean?" I asked slowly confused "My body controls my ability and not me?" I asked tilting my head aside, my electric blue eyes showing confusion, Charles shook his head amused

"Yes and no"

What does that mean?" I asked impatient

"It means you have to control your body" was all he said before turned the flashlight on, I opened my mouth and closed it a couple of times confused

"Control my body? How?"

"You ask a lot of questions" he said shaking his head, pointing the light in my face, I closed my eyes putting a hand in front of them to shield them from the light

"And you don't answer my questions"

"Katerina" I glared at him when he used my full name, but he ignored it "When your ability gets out of control, you focus your mind to try and stop the flickering, right?" I nodded not knowing where this was going to

"Okay, that's the problem, don't focus on that, focus on your body to make it stop" I furrowed my eyebrows confused, "Your body it's made by electricity, remember when Hank asked for a sample of each one of your blood?"

"Yes, what are you going with this?"

"Results, that each part of your DNA cells, somatic cells are made by energy" I heard Hank's voice behind me, I turned around to face him, he walked to us with a glass of water in his hands and an essay tube, the ones you use in school to science experiments, with some red liquid in it... blood.

"It's your blood, Kat" Charles explained when I eyed skeptically the blood tube

"What are you dong with my blood and a glass of water?" I asked suspiciously at Hank, he looked nervous and scratched his neck

"Well, um, your blood, um, I made some discovering, um..." He trailed off watching my face, he probably was going to start talking scientifically and I wouldn't understand nothing "I'll show you" he added quickly putting the glass of water in the table, Charles and I followed him to the table, I sat down in the chair I was in earlier and watch how Hank opened the tube and with a transfer pipette, he grabbed some of my blood and faced the water, he dropped a few drops of my blood in the glass of water, I watched amazed as how the blood reacted in the water like an electric eel lives in the water, I grinned looking at the glass, I ignored Charles and Hank's curious faces, when I raised my hand to the glass, putting my hand in the lid of the glass, not focusing in anything, just curious, some lights traveled from the water to the palm of my hand in a blink, I pulled my hand away in surprised confusion, I looked up at my friend's faces, they were smiling

"Fantastic!" Both of them exclaimed, Hank in awe and Charles knowingly, I eyes him suspiciously, still amazed of what happened with my blood

"That's what I was explaining you, Kat, your body it's an outlet, energy pass through it, when you focus in getting some lights or energy to work, this energy passes through your body to the ambient" I smiled amazed

"So, when I lose control, it means my body it's relishing electricity without my consent?" I asked finally understanding the meaning of Charles logic

"Yes, but not only electricity, Kat, energy, all kind of energy, in order to control your abilities, you have to be aware of how much energy it's passing through your body at the moment, the reaction of the blood in the water with your hand it's a proof of that" 

I smiled excitedly, the stereo turning on, playing some music, Charles's flashlight gaining more intensity by the moment, the drops of blood gathering in the water becoming one single drop, a slight bigger than when those were separated, floating in the water, electricity around it

But I didn't care at the moment, I knew now how to control it and I was going to do whatever it takes to do it.
