it sucks because I was getting better but now i'm not

"WE'RE not leaving," Octavia spoke up before Rick could. They needed to fight for what was theirs. Axel is dead, Lori is dead, T is dead. They all died here, so they needed to fight for them. "This is our home."

"We can't stay here," Chris reasoned. "What if there's another sniper? A wood pallet won't stop one of those rounds."

"We can't even go outside."

"Not in the daylight."

"Rick and Octavia says we're not running, we're not running," Glenn spoke up and the Winchester sent him a thankful nod.

"No, better to live like rats."

"Oh, shut up, pig," Allison insulted and Derek had to hold her back. He gripped her arm gently and gave her a warning look. She sighed and relaxed in his grip which was a sight to see. Octavia was more than surprised to see them getting along, especially since the last time she saw them, Allison hated his guts.

Octavia scowled at Merle as he thought he had the right to speak to them. Daryl stood by her side and put his hand on her back, because he could tell that she was angry. Of course she was angry, that son of a bitch kidnapped Maggie, Glenn, Jess, and her, He beat Glenn up, tried to kill Michonne and let the Governor almost kill both her and Jess.

"You got a better idea?" Chris spat at the older Dixon brother.

"Yeah, we should have slid out of here last night and lived to fight another day. But we lost that window, didn't we? I'm sure he's got scouts on every road out of this place by now," He told them with an amused voice which made Octavia snarl at him.

"We ain't scared of that prick," Daryl told his brother, his hand moving from her back to her wrist.

"Y'all should be. That truck through the fence thing, that's just him ringing the doorbell. We might have some thick walls to hide behind, but he's got the guns and the numbers. And if he takes the high ground around this place, shoot, he could just starve us out if he wanted to."

Even though everyone hated Merle with a burning passion, he was right.

"Let's put him in the other cell block," Maggie spoke up, Merle was getting to her.

"No," Octavia spoke up which made everyone turn to her in surprise. "I can't believe i'm saying this, but he's got a point." Merle smirked at her, but she flipped him off.

"This is all you. You started this!" Maggie yelled at him.

"You're going to pay!" Jess shouted, her voice cracking before she stormed off to her cell which was actually Octavia's. The three of them — Octavia, Cas, and Jess — have been sharing it.

"What difference whose fault it is?" Beth put her two cents in and started to come down the stairs. "What do we do?"

"I said we should leave," Hershel said, throwing his hand down to get his point across. "Now Axel's dead. We can't just sit here." Rick then started to walk away which angered Hershel. He got up as quickly as he could with his crutches and chased after Rick. "Get back here!" He yelled, his voice booming. Rick stopped his movements. "You're slipping, Rick. We've all seen it. We understand why. But now is not the time. You once said this isn't a democracy. Now you have to own up to that. I put my family's life in your hands. So get your head clear," He lowered his voice. "And do something."

"HEY, Octavia."

The Winchester in questioned turned around from where she was talking with Cas and faced Hershel. "Let me check your stitches."

She nodded and they waked into a cell. She awkwardly lowered her pants because there was no other way he could look at her thighs with them on. At least her shirt went to mid thigh. He looked over them and nodded his head in approval. "They are healing quicker than I thought they would," He admitted which made her chuckle.

"I've had worse so I guess my body is just used to healing itself." He looked at her in worry, confusion and curiosity. "And no, I was not in the Mafia," she commented which made him chuckle.

"I know that there is more to meet the eye," Hershel commented which made her freeze. "I know you were abused, but something else made you this way..." He trailer off, but stopped once he saw the faraway look in her eyes. "You're good to go."

Octavia nodded, pulling her pants up before leaving the cell. Once out, she saw Merle smirking, and Cas no where to be found. She sighed and was about to turn around to walk upstairs when Merle called out to her.

"So, Octavia is your name?" She turned towards him with raised eyebrows and crossed arms. "It looks like the Governor did a real number on you."

She rolled her eyes. "Screw you." She was about to walk away again, but once again was stopped by him.

"You would, wouldn't you?" He then chuckled. "Actually, you would rather screw my brother."

Octavia stopped what she was doing and turned around, her eyes wide. "What?"

Daryl who was coming out of a cell from upstairs, stopped what he was doing when he heard his brother mention his name to Octavia.

"You and my little brother. Hmm-mhmm." He licked his lips and started humping the air.

Octavia huffed and rolled her eyes, dropping her arms. "You don't know what you're talking about," she told him, a frown coming to her face.

"Are you sure? I saw how you two are buddy-buddy. You see, my little brother likes girls like you."

"Like what? A girl that can take care of herself?" She scoffed and started to walk away again.

"He needs you!" He called out which made her stop mid-step.

"Excuse me?" She rounded, clenching her jaw.

"You both need each other. You're good for him."

She scoffed, rolled her eyes, and made her way upstairs.

Daryl, who was listening in, stepped inside a cell to hide from Octavia.

Octavia went into her cell and started packing my stuff just in case they were to leave. She then stopped and sat down on her bed, a shirt in her hand as she thought about what Merle said.

Did she like Daryl?

Everything was so confusing. She has been in only two relationships in her whole life, and they both didn't end good. Her first boyfriend abused her both mentally and physically, and tried to kill her. And her second boyfriend was killed. She doesn't have a good track record when it comes to love. Plus, there was more pressing matters at the moment than some stupid crush.

"I didn't see any snipers out there, but we'll keep Maggie on watch," Rick informed them when he got back from watch duty.

"I'll get up in the guard tower, take out half them walkers, give these guys a chance to fix the fence," Daryl told Rick, standing by O's side.

"Or use some of the cars to put the bus in place," Chris suggested.

"We can't access the field without burning through our bullets," Allison stated.

"So we're trapped in here," Jess stated, sighing. "There's barely any food or ammo."

"Been here before. We'll be all right," Daryl said and the group nodded in agreement.

"That's when it was just us. Before there was a snake in the nest."

"Okay, I might not like Merle but he's just one fucking person, Glenn," Octavia told him, her anger getting to her. She was too tired of all this stupid fighting over some guy who doesn't give a fuck about anything.

Daryl got pissed and walked off. She went to reach for him, but he shrugged her off, running up the stairs. She turned her head to Glenn and narrowed her eyes at him. "Good going, Chinaman." She scoffed and ran up the stairs, too.

"I'M glad you came back," Octavia spoke up as she walked into the cell that Daryl was hiding away in.

"To what? All this?" He asked with saddened eyes as he gestured with the arrow he had in his hand.

"Hey." She put her hand on his knee and sent him a smile as she sat down on the bed. "It might not seem like it, but this is our home."

He nodded, gulping as he looked at her. "This is a tomb."

Octavia looked down, taking her hand off his knee and started playing with her fingers. "That's what T used to call this place before he, you know, died," she told him with a sigh, looking back up at him. He gave her a small smile but it disappeared as soon as it came. "He's your brother, I understand. I have two of my own and I know how they can be, but he's bringing you down. Please." She grabbed his hand in her's and looked up at him through her eyelashes. "Don't let him bring you down." He looked at her then at their hands. "For me."

THEY ran outside once they heard that Andrea was on her way towards the gate.

Octavia gripped her gun in her hand as she ran by Daryl's side. Carol and Glenn were on the bridge that's between the prison. Carl was on one of the small porches. Merle was even with them which was a little weird. Jess stood at the door, and was holding a gun.

"Go! Clear." They ran out from behind the car that they were hiding behind and ran towards the gate.

"Are you alone?!" Rick asked her in his stern voice.

"Rick!" Rick nodded at Daryl and threw him the keys to open the gate. Once Andrea was in, Rick pushed her up against the fence as Daryl and Octavia closed the gate, so that walkers couldn't get in. He checked to make sure that she had no weapons on her.

"All right. Get down, on the floor." She raised her hands up as she kneeled on the floor. "I asked if you were alone."

"I am."

He took her bag and threw it far away from her. "Welcome back. Get up." He forced her up and they made it back into the prison.

They all stood around and watched as Andrea took everything in.

"Hershel, my God," She spoke as she saw Hershel's leg. "I can't believe this." She looked around her in amazement. "Where's Shane?" She asked and looked at Rick who shook his head. "And Lori?" Rick just looked down.

"She had a girl," Hershel spoke up. "Lori didn't survive."

"Neither did T-Dog," Octavia spoke up as She thought about T.

"I'm so sorry. Carl. Rick, I--" She trailed off and looked around at the room. "You all live here?"

"Here and the cell block."

"There? Well, can I go in?" She started to walk towards where they lived, but Rick and Octavia quickly interrupted her movements before she could.

"I won't allow that," they spoke up at the same time, giving her a stern look.

"I'm not an enemy, Rick, Octavia."

Octavia scoffed and rolled my eyes. "We had that field and courtyard until your boyfriend tore down the fence with a truck and shot us up," she told her with crossed arms and a scowl on her face. "He killed an inmate who survived in here."

"We liked him. He was one of us," Daryl told her, his crossbow laying on his right shoulder.

"I didn't know anything about that. As soon as I found out, I came. I didn't even know you were in Woodbury until after the shoot-out," She explained to them, but Octavia was quick to scoff.

"That was days ago."

"I told you, I came as soon as I could," She reminded Octavia but she just rolled her eyes. She then turned to Michonne and look at her as if it was her fault that the group didn't trust her anymore. "What have you told them?"

"Nothing." Michonne shook her head.

"I don't get it. I left Atlanta with you people and now I'm the odd man out?"

Octavia rolled her shoulders back and glared at Andrea. "He almost killed Michonne and he would have killed us."

"With his finger on the trigger." She pointed her finger at Merle. "Isn't he the one who kidnapped you? Who beat you?"

"The Governor is the one who beat me up, shot me, and stabbed me. He sent walkers in on me when I was tied down, and sent a guy to finish the job when the walkers didn't," Octavia spat at her, but she didn't think Andrea fully believed her. She was love-struck.

"Look, I cannot excuse or explain what Philip has done. But I am here trying to bring us together. We have to work this out."

Octavia growled and was about to lunge forward if it wasn't for Daryl holding her back. He gave her a look and she stood back, clenching her jaw as she boiled in rage.

"There's nothing to work out. We're gonna kill him. I don't know how or when, but we will."

"We can settle this. There is room at Woodbury for all of you." She looked around the room at all of them.

"You think that everything he has done to us, that we will go crawling to him to ask him to let us stay with him? Hell to the no," Octavia told her, her left hand flying up in the air to show how ridiculous the idea was.

"What makes you think that this man wants to negotiate?" Hershel paused. "Did he say that?"

"No."

"Then why did you come here?"

"Because he's gearing up for war. The people are terrified. They see you as killers. They're training to attack."

"I'll tell you what. Next time you see Philip, you tell him I'm gonna take his other eye," Daryl told her, venom in his voice as he squeezed O's arm.

"We've taken too much shit for too long. He wants a war? He's got one," Glenn told her, standing tall.

"Rick. If you don't sit down and try to work this out, I don't know what's gonna happen. He has a whole town." She sighed then looked at all of them. "Look at you. You've lost so much already. You can't stand alone anymore."

"You want to make this right, get us inside."

"No."

"Then we got nothing to talk about." Rick then decided to walk away.

"There are innocent people!" She shouted at him as he left the cell block.

AS the others were outside to watch Andrea leave, Octavia decided to stay back and spend some time with Judith. She hasn't had any time to lately because she was kidnapped and have been busy with everything else that needed done around here.

"Look how cute you are," se cooed as she rocked her back and forth.

The only other time she had handled a baby was when they — her brother's and her — had to take care of a shapeshifter that was only a baby. It was a horrible sight to see Dean taking care of a baby since he didn't know how to. None of them did, to be honest.

"You look so much like your mother," Octavia told her, smiling down at her as she reached for her face. She bent her head down and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"I'll sing you a song, okay?" She whispered to her and a song popped into her head. It was her favorite song, so she decided to sing it to her.

"That's good." A voice startled her out of looking at Judith. She turned her head and found Beth looking at Judith and her with a smile on her face. "I didn't know you could sing."

Octavia looked down in embarrassment. "I can't," she responded to her.

"But you can." She tilted her head, giving her a smile.

"Thanks."

"You're welcome."

"GUESS what guys?" Beth spoke up as they all stood or sat around each other in front of the cells.

"Hmm?" Rick hummed as he looked at Beth who looked at Octavia with this glint in her eyes.

"Octavia can sing!" She exclaimed which made everyone turn to look at the girl in question who fumbled in her spot.

"You can?" Hershel asked, amazed.

Allison smirked and decided to speak up, "She used to sing to me all the time." Octavia groaned and put her face in her hands.

"Can you sing us something?" Hershel asked her which made Octavia look up at him in surprise. "If you would like," He added.

She looked around at everyone to find them looking at her in curiosity. "Fine."

Beth squealed and clapped.

Octavia took in a breath before singing. She chose half of a song to sing, ending it quickly.

"Oh, my god! You're amazing!" Maggie exclaimed and hugged her as Octavia sat beside her on the steps. She smiled and gave her thanks.

Octavia looked around at everyone and smiled.

I love my mix-matched family.
