her eyes gave her away, there was a drowning girl behind that smile
EVERYTHING was quiet as nobody knew what to say, and they all sat in different spots, looking at each other.
"Everybody okay?" Rick's voice echoed through the room. He stood at the bared door that led into the cell block.
"Yeah, we are," O echoed back in the spot by Daryl. They were sitting on the steps. Allison sat in front of her because she was braiding her hair. "What about you?"
"I cleared out the boiler block," He simply said, looking scarred.
"How many were there?" Daryl asked, chewing a spoon full of food that he put in his mouth.
"I don't know. A dozen, two dozen. I have to get back. Just wanted to check on Carl." He patted his son on the back. He then noticed Allison, Chris, and Derek. "Who are they?" He straightened his posture.
Octavia was quick to answer, "Daryl and I found them. They're my friends from before."
Rick took a good look at them before slowly nodding. He trusted Octavia, especially after everything she had done for the group. She risked her life for the time after time.
"Rick." Glenn jumped up and faced him. "We can handle taking out the bodies. You don't have to."
"No, I do," Rick interrupted him and then walked towards where Daryl and O were. "Everyone have a gun and a knife?"
"Yeah. We're running low on ammo, though."
"Maggie, Octavia and I were planning on making a run this afternoon. Found a phone book with some places we can hit, look for bullets and formula," Glenn explained, and Derek was quick to face Octavia who sent him a smile which calmed him down slightly.
"We cleared out the generator room. Axel's there trying to fix it in case of emergency. We're gonna sweep the lower levels as well," Daryl explained, his hand landing on O's shoulder. He trusted her, but he didn't want her to leave. Anything could happen,
"Good, good." Rick nodded his head and then walked away.
"Rick," Hershel called after him but Rick ignored him and shut the cell door, walking away without a glance back.
Octavia sighed and pulled her black hair back and put half of it in a pony tail, leaving the other half down. She turned her head and saw Daryl looking down at his food with a slight frown on his face. She put her hand on his shoulder, making him look up at her, and she sent him a small smile, and walked towards the cell's.
She decided to just take a couple daggers, demon blade, and a gun. She stuffed a dagger in each of her combat boots, her demon blade on her waist, and had holy water in a small necklace thing that she had made from scrap.
THEY pulled up at a small store. Maggie got out and looked around as Octavia grabbed a basket, and jumped out of the car.
"All right, let's take a look," O spoke up, walking towards the door to the small shop. It looked abandoned, but looks can be deceiving.
Octavia turned her head to see Maggie kissing Glenn. She made a fake gagging noise and covered het eyes. "I had enough of seeing that with my brother when he used to flirt with waitresses, I don't want to see it now," She complained, earning a chuckle from both of them.
Octavia uncovered her blue eyes and sent them a smile. Even though she acts like she don't like it, she loves to see that type of relationship. Especially since she barely ever had that kind of love. They truly belong together.
"It's a beautiful day," She changed the subject, looking up at the clear sky.
She grabbed bolt cutters, putting her flashlight in her mouth as she cut off the chain that someone had put on the door to keep people out. Or to keep something in.
She shivered at the thought, but her face hardened as she opened up the door. Birds came flying out at them, making them duck on instinct, and cover their faces. She sighed, standing back up, and walking into the building.
"WE just hit the powdered formula jackpot," Octavia spoke up, looking down at her basket that had food for Lil' ass kicker. You gotta admit, Daryl had a way with name's. She shook her head, a smile on her face as she thought about him.
"I got beans, batteries, cocktail wieners, many mustards," Glenn spoke up, looking down at the food he had in his basket.
"It's a straight shot back to the prison from here," O spoke up as she looked at the two of them, putting the baby food in the car. "Probably make it in time for dinner."
"I like the quiet," Maggie said, holding a basket on her arm as she glanced around. "Back there, back home, you can always hear them outside the fence no matter where you are."
"And where is it y'all good people are calling home?"
Octavia's head whipped around to face a man with a machete for a hand, and a gun pointed at them. She quickly put down the basket she had previously picked up and grabbed her gun from her pants waist. She pointed it straight at his head, her face hardened, and turned into a glare.
"Merle?" Glenn asked, and Octavia turned her head and stared at Glenn with a look of confusion. Who the fuck was Merle? She then thought back to the moment she saved them at their camp in Atlanta. It then clicked, Merle was Daryl's brother. It was the guy that everyone kept warning her about. The bad brother.
This Merle guy laughed, putting his gun down on the ground and said, "Wow." He then started to walk towards the trio, grinning.
"Hey, back the hell up!" Octavia spat out. She didn't like the vibe she got from him.
"Okay, okay, honey," He said, a sickly sweet smile on his face.
She sneered at him, not liking how he called her honey. She could already see that he was nothing like Daryl.
"You made it," Glenn spoke in disbelief.
"Can you tell me, is my brother alive?" Merle asked, looking at Glenn. O's body grew more tense than it already was. "Huh?"
"Yeah."
"Hey, you take me to him and I'll call it even on everything that happened up there in Atlanta," he said and Octavia rolled her eyes, taking a mini step forward. "No hard feelings. Huh?" O's eyes went from his eyes to his knife hand thing. He laughed, grinning at them. "You like that? Yeah. Well, I found myself a medical supply warehouse. Fixed it up myself. Well, pretty cool, huh?"
"We'll tell Daryl you're here and he'll come out to meet you," Glenn told him, and Octavia's eyes widened and she looked over at Glenn in disbelief.
"Hold on. Just hold up. Hold up here." He took a couple steps closer to us. "Hey, the fact that we found each other is a miracle." O rolled her eyes at him. "Come on, now. You can trust me."
"You trust us. You stay here," Octavia spat at him, pointing her gun at his head.
"No!" He yelled, pulling out a gun and shooting it.
It skimmed over Octavia's shoulder, leaving a small scrape. She gasped, running around the car where Maggie went. Merle was holding Maggie down on the ground, a gun towards her head.
"Let go of her. Let go of her!"
"Put the guns in the car. Put them in the car." Merle told us and seeing as they didn't want Maggie to die, they listened, and slowly put their gun's in the car. "There you go. Now we're gonna go for a little drive."
"We're not going back to our camp," Otold him through clenched teeth.
"No, we're going somewhere else. Get in the car, Glenn! You're driving!" Merle yelled at Glenn who threw his hands up. "Move! Get up. That's it. Oh, that's what I'm talking about. Yeah, buddy."
When Merle got up, Octavia threw one of her dagger's at him, nearly missing his head as he moved out of the way. He turned towards her in anger and grabbed a hand full of her hair in his hand, and slammed her face on the car. She turned my head and spat in his face.
Before anything else could be said of done, a girl came running into Merle, knocking both of them to the ground. The girl and him started fighting each other. The blonde was more skilled than he was, so she got more hits in. When she kicked Merle harshly in the stomach, sending him falling to the ground, did Octavia finally get a good look at her.
Her blue eyes widened and she gasped, standing up, blood running down her face from her now busted nose. "Jess?" Her voice was soft and weak. She was surprised for fucks sakes. "How—"
Merle stood up, grabbed Jess by her hair, and flung her into the building. The blonde tell to the ground, coughing and gasping.
Octavia let out a sneer after she got out of her state of shock, and bolted into Merle while Glenn took care of Maggie.
He saw her coming, though, and simply lifted her into the air, and slammed her onto the concrete. She felt the air leave her lungs as she hit the hard ground. And then, something hit her in the face.
She gasped out as he hit her harshly in the face, and then began to strangle her with his hands. She grabbed his huge hands, and bucked her hips harshly, throwing him off of her. She was quick to straddle him, and punch him repeatedly.
But, just as fast as she had trapped him, he flipped them over, grabbed her head, and roughly pushed her face into the concrete. He did that until all she could see was black dots.
She closed her eyes and everything went black. The last thing she felt was being thrown into something.
OCTAVIA woke up to her head hurting. She opened up her eyes and realized that she was tied down in a chair. Her feet were tied to the bottom of the chair and her hands were tried together on the back of the chair. Whoever did this, they knew that she was gonna be a fighter.
She clenched her teeth and pulled at the ropes, realizing that they were really tight. She sighed in annoyance when she realized that she was gonna have rope burns after she was done with this.
Octavia twisted her hand around as much as I could and felt a knot. Whoever tied the ropes, they were terrible at it. It was only in double knots, kinda like how she used to tie shoes when she was younger.
She smiled and started untying it.
It only took about a two minutes before she had it untied and went to her feet. She got that done in less than a minutes which made her smirk.
She looked around the room for a weapon for just in case whoever put her in there, came back. She saw a piece of sharp wood so she grabbed it and stationed herself against the wall by the door because she saw a shadow outside of it, meaning someone was about to walk in.
When the person walked in, she kicked him in the back of the knee, sending him to the floor. He grunted as she pulled his long ass hair, tilting his head back to where she got a good shot of his neck. She dragged the sharp piece of wood on his neck and glared at him. "Where the fuck am I and who the hell are you?"
All he did was chuckle and elbow her in the stomach. "Okay, so that's how you want to play." She nodded and ran at him, throwing her right foot out, kicking him in the chest. He got the air knocked out of him. She smirked and punched him in the face.
He tripped her, sending her to the floor. He punched her in the face which sent her head flying to the right. She groaned but spat blood on his face, head butted him, and flipped them over to where she was straddling him. She grabbed the piece of wood and drove it in his head. She continued to hit him in the head with it to make sure that he wouldn't come back as a walker.
"Son of a bitch." She looked up and was met by the face of Merle at the door. "Well, well, well, what do we have here?" He asked and then marched up to her.
He kicked her in the face before she had a chance to get up. She rolled over off of the guy she had just killed, landing on her side. She looked up at Merle as he kicked her in the gut. She was pushed back as he put a lot of force into the kick.
She groaned, rolling over and then stood up as she saw Merle marching towards her. "You're a fighter, aren't ya?" He questioned, grabbing her hair, and pulled her face closer to him. "It would surprise me if my brother isn't in love with you. He has always loved fighters." He grinned and then slammed her head onto the table.
"I'll kill you, you son of a bitch!" Octavia yelled in rage, kicking back her leg, and knocking him off her. "I hate men like you." She punched him in the face which made him growl in anger.
"Well, sweet-cheeks, I hate women like you." He punched her in the face and then kicked her in the gut, sending to the floor. She felt blood dripping down her face but she ignored it, and got up again just to be punched in the face again. "You should just give up." He grabbed her face and slammed it into the table again and again.
"Winchesters never give up," She mumbled to herself before slipping into an oblivion.
