winchester brother's.
family don't end in blood and it doesn't start there either

DEAN and Sam paused upon hearing panting and running. The footsteps aren't really that heavy which made both men think that it had to be at least a teenager who was making all the noise.

The brothers glanced at each other as the noise became louder, signaling that the person was in close distance. They brought out their weapons - Dean holding the demon knife and Sam holding an angle blade. Both weapons could kill anything, so they always had them nearby just in case anything was to pop out of nowhere.

"Help!" the person -little girl - shouted.

Right behind her, the sound of snarling and moaning could be heard, alerting the boys that geeks were running after her.

She was in danger and they needed to save her. That was the family business after all - saving people, hunting thing.

The boys broke out in to a full out sprint, trying to find the little girl. And suddenly, when they rounded around a bunch of trees, the little girl ran right into them, cowering almost immediately.

The girl was around twelve years old, short blond hair that almost reached her shoulders, big forest green eyes, and a horrified look on her cute little face.

"Dean!" the tallest of the two brothers shouted as three geeks came around a tree, snarling and moaning, wanting to tear into their flesh.

"Gank 'em!" Dean shouted, pushing the girl behind him as he moved forward, stabbing one of the geeks in the brain with the demon blade, the body falling almost immediately to the ground.

Sam came out from behind one of the last standing geeks, and viciously stabbed it through the back of it's skull.

Dean then lightly pushed the girl towards Sam when the geek fell to the ground, and he approached the lady geek, kicked it in the chest, and when it tumbled to it's knees, he stabbed it in the head through it's ear.

When the body dropped, Deal turned around, his candy apple green eyes immediately landed on the small girl who them started to stumble away, her eyes wide in fear as she stared up at the two men.

"Hey, hey, it's okay," Sam tried to calm the little girl. She was breathing heavily, she had dark bags under her eyes, and she was shivering. It had looked like she hadn't slept in days, and she looked to be starving. "What's your name?" He asked gently, taking a small step closer to her. His hazel eyes searched her up and down for any wounds.

"Sophia," She squeaked out, her bottom lip trembling slightly. She looked up at the giraffe of a guy and hesitantly asked, "What's your name?"

Sam smiled down at her, she only reached his waist. "I'm Sam, this is my brother Dean." He gestured to his older, yet shorter brother who sent a sarcastic smile and wave towards the little girl. "Are you all alone?"

"Yes," she forced out, tears beginning to well up in her eyes. "I-I ran off when I wasn't suppose to and now i've been running for two days!" She began sobbing, her whole body shaking like an earthquake.

Sam and Dean glanced to each other, not knowing what to do with a crying child who looked like she could break if they even breathed towards her.

Sam sighed heavily and knelt down to the girl, pulling her into a hug, though, he didn't know how to hug a child, so it was awkward, and it looked like he was swallowing the child up with his huge frame. "Hey, don't cry. It's going to be okay, Sophia," he soothed her, rubbing her back like any typical dad would - except theirs.

"Why don't we take you back to our little camp and we take care of those wounds of yours, yeah?" Sam asked, pulling back, getting a closer look at her. She had scratches across her face, there was a long cut that went from her shoulder to her elbow with dried blood around it. "How'd that happen?" He needed to make sure she hadn't been scratched by a geek or else she was gonna turn.

Sophia wipes her teary eyes and looked at the wound that barley ached anymore. "I tripped and fell down a hill. My arm got caught on a thorn bush. It's also why my face is scratched up," she explained, biting her lip as she looked up at the man. "After you take care of me, will you help me find my group."

"Ye-"

Before Sam could finish his answer, Dean interrupted him. "Sam," he hissed sharply. "We don't know this girl. We don't know what kind of people she has in her camp!"

"Please don't leave me!" Sophia exclaimed, tears falling from her forest green eyes as she looked up at the two men. "I have no where to go, no food. I'm hungry and tired. Please don't make me stay in these woods. The monsters will get me!"

As she stated crying again, Sam pulled her into another hug, and looked back at Dean. They had a silent conversation with just their eyes before Dean groaned, giving in, making Sam smile.

"Sophia," he spoke softly, pulling the girl off of him, looking her in the eyes. "We'll take care of you and once you're better rested and fed, we'll take you looking for your group."

"Thank you!" Sophia launched herself at Sam, smiling.

What they didn't know was that they were miles and miles, and miles away from Sophia's.
