Ashes
As he sat,
Always deep in thought,
Alone to ponder space and time,
And all of the bad decisions he had made,
As well as all the bad thing that one had done upon him,
And so he thought,
Am I being punished for another man's blight?
Another man's bad choices?
Am I the one to carry his burden as well as my own upon my shoulders?
So sat the son,
Sorrowful of a murderous father,
Screaming for release,
So want to be let go of,
Sins he didn't commit,
So he is labeled the son of a sinner,
So unneeded and unwanted by the world,
Seemingly non-existent.
He sat and,
He watched his world crumble before him,
Hindered by the fact that,
He had to live a lie for God to save the sins to two men,
He realized he had to carry the burden of one of the same,
His wrong doer had carried the same last name,
His evil relative not caring what he did, as long as,
He had had what he wanted.
Even today, as he types,
Evil shifts around him,
Enveloping him in an inescapable force,
Ever so much, he wants the blood of a killer and rapist out of his veins,
Escape from this, is punishable by death in the case though,
Ever so if he cuts, he will bleed himself for purity,
Even if it means to drown in a sea of blooc,
Even if it means eternal rest,
Ever clear his conscious will be,
So it shall be,
Save the world I shall,
Striking up to save everyone, only to save myself ,
So if you haven't noticed the pattern
Seek the first letter of every stanza,
Saved me it did when I realized,
Sins that weren't mine, the wind swept away like,
ASHES.
