As soon as I got out of the nursery my pokemon and I made a dash for the main build...err pyramid? In any case, we moved swiftly and silently through the streets, careful to avoid any patrol routes that I saw on the map, but also being on the lookout since the data we had was from 6 months ago, before they went into big lockdown like state. After weaving between many buildings and through the shadows I finally arrived on the south side of the pyramid. There were, even with the state of the island and the time, an abundance of guards.

Getting through all of them was going to be tough, and while I could cloak myself from the sight of regular people, pokemon and cameras with heat-seeking capabilities could still see me. However, as always, I never really went through the front door. Turning on my cloaking, I dodged out of sight from the cameras and onto the side of the pyramid. Using a slight burst of aura to propel me up 10 feet, I became like a spider and started up the wall. Not soon after I realized that there were cameras up here too. 

I braced myself, then using another burst, shot myself through a vent in the side. I created a slight ruckus but luckily I don't think the cameras spotted me. Crawling through the vent I began to thank my smaller and frail body, if I had been any bigger then I wouldn't have been able to fit. After thanking Arceus that they hadn't changed the vent system, I made my way into the lab. Of course, they were going to have cameras so I confused them using my pokemon. We all jumped out at the same time, them hugging onto me so that the heat-seeking part of the camera would get confused and the regular part would just see nothing.

I grabbed a PDA nearby and then walked out of the lab, looking around for any scientist or guards. There were a few but they were easily avoidable, I carefully started walking through the lab and looking at all the different tubes filled with a glowing blue liquid. Inside were these silhouettes of some creature, it wasn't any pokemon I recognized and I consulted the PDA. There wasn't much info on here, as it didn't have a high authority level, it did still prove useful as I found some research notes on these creatures.

They were code-named the 'Otherworldly Darkness' and classified as 'Ultra Beasts', from what I could tell it was a fairly new discovery, happening just 6 months ago when they closed their borders. This was a general use PDA, held by all employees of the foundation and I could only get more info out of higher access level ones like the PDA's with the scientists. I couldn't simply steal one though, as it would immediately raise a huge panic if said scientist found out. 

I had 3 options, download the info from the mainframe computer or a high-level PDA, steal a PDA of high level, or simply keep listening in on conversations during my days here and report.

Ultimately I chose to eavesdrop since I would be here for 2-3 months, and by that time if I hadn't gathered enough info then before the mission was over I could do one of the other two options, or both if I needed to.  

I jumped back into the vent system and started crawling towards my next location, which was the security room. Swiftly crawling I made it there in about 7-10 minutes and peeked inside, there were guards of course, and they looked very attentive, in fact, they seemed to be in a sort of scramble thinking that a beast had escaped. I could barely make out what they were saying into their comms from the distance I was perched at, however, I did catch one thing that made me freeze. "Flushing it out!", as soon as the words left his lips the vent in front of me sealed shut and I dashed in the direction of the nearest exit. 

"Hime!" I yelled as I heard a hissing sound and the fans ramping up to an even faster speed, she quickly created a psychic bubble around us and Ōkami lent her some Aura to keep it going as we kept running. My heart was pounding in my chest at this point and once we saw the exit we stopped short just to rest for a bit, we were all panting, sweat dripping down our faces as we sat down. The cool, refreshing, ocean breeze sweeping over our faces, we sat there for a good 10 minutes before getting up and making our way back to the nursery. However, not before taking a dip in the public pool and drying off then going back to sleep, it was 2:00 in the morning at this point so I drifted off rather easily.

The next morning I awoke with a start as I had a very weird dream, I was watching a battle between the Legendary Pokemon and this single person who was most definitely an aura user but used techniques I had never thought possible. He was talking to a Pokemon I had never seen either and I couldn't read his lips either, they engaged each other and before the battle concluded I was sent back to reality. 

"What a puzzling dream!?"

It mattered not to me right now as I had to get ready for my first full day here, I had to blend in and look the par for the time that I was here. Of course, I was opposed to really interacting with someone unless I needed to. However, that changed nearly immediately when I walked into the cafeteria to get breakfast. There stood Lillie Aether, who was also joining us for some odd reason. The other children either didn't notice, didn't care, or didn't know who she was. I was personally thinking of the last option, after all, she hasn't gotten any public attention to my knowledge and most people here are orphans. 

"Maybe this will be interesting after all ."

This Chapter was such a pain to write, I had to restart it like 3 different times but I hope it came out okay! Also going to try and get back to weekly updates!
