Chapter 6: Aether part 1

A/N: I've modified Aether to fit my own needs, XD. Hope you don't mind. Also

Aether Paradise had expanded in size over the past year, becoming nearly twice as big and transforming into a pyramid with offices surrounding it. This did raise some concern as to what they were doing but seeing as they were a very peaceful organization the questions soon faded.

As an added bonus with all the expansion came more jobs, and more departments within the foundation that now helped out much more significantly around the islands. With employees helping local shops unload cargo or helping hospitals, they even opened their own hospital that didn't require insurance. The one thing that did help him infiltrate the place was the fact that besides the Aether House, they expanded the orphanage to 1 per island and even one on the paradise. Now all he had to do was find a way into the orphanage on the paradise, he had a perfect plan.

His whole body ached and his pokemon looked at him in worry as they helped him into the small boat and Hime used her psychic powers to propel the boat towards the island while looking at her trainer who was beaten up and laying there. They soon bumped into the island and Aether employees found them and took them in, with the doctors taking care of him and treating the pokemon's bruises and cuts.

They must've put him under at some point or he fainted but he awoke to the doctor's face and a glass of water.

"Where am I?" I asked

"You are on Aether Paradise, you were found in a boat along with some pokemon, all beaten up. We have treated you and you aren't in danger but can you tell me what you know?" The doctor asked me.

"I don't exactly remember, actually I can't remember anything. All I know is my name and that I was protecting the pokemon" I slightly sobbed as I held my head in confusion.

"Don't worry, everything will be fine. We will help you remember, in the meantime can you tell me your name?"

"My name is...Keaka, and where are the pokemon?" I asked curiously

"Well Keaka, they weren't as injured as you so they have been in the nursery for the past hour. As for you, we will put you in the nursery for now until you recover or your parents come for you." He answered with a smile and motioned for me to follow, so I slowly got up and followed him down the stairs. I was still in my hospital gown but followed him out into another building just 3 blocks away, which was the nursery. He handed me off to one of the staff there who lead me into a room.

"This will be your room, of course as you can see you will have 3 other roommates that I'm sure you will get along with just fine" She explained as I looked around the decent-sized room. There were 2 bunks beds on opposite sides of the room and 2 desks at the foot of those beds. With 2 nightstands next to the head of the bed and under the windows. The room was painted a warm peach color and looked quite appealing to live in by normal standards.

"That dresser over there will be yours, and here is a schedule for daily activities. If you lose yours then you can simply come downstairs for a new one, or just look at the walls." She elaborated more and I nodded as I received said schedule and looked it over.

"Now then, I believe it is nearly time for lunch so let us hurry along there." She announced as we walked out and towards the cafeteria which was on the first floor, along with the pokemon nursery.

Overall the lunchroom was spacious, and that was mostly to accommodate the pokemon as there were more of them than children. Nonetheless, he quickly got lunch which consisted of poke, chicken long rice, and some pineapple. He sat down at an empty table and his pokemon soon joined him with their own lunch which was regular pokemon food along with a couple of pokeblocks and a berry that corresponded to their type in some way.

"Hey, Master are you doing well so far?" Ōkami asked as he munched on some food

"I am doing fine, how about you guys?"  he asked telepathically as to not arouse suspicion

" Hime and I are doing just fine right?" Angel aid as he nudged the younger pokemon which simply nodded and ate a pokeblock and hummed in delight.

"That's good, so far I've yet to explore the place, but I think I'll do that during the night." He announced before finishing his meal

"Hi... um, are you new here?" A boy asked me as I finished eating and wiped my mouth.

"Yes... that's correct, what is your name?" I asked politely

"My name is Gabriel, what's yours?" He asked me curiously and surprisingly as if he was surprised that I actually greeted him.

"Mine is Keaka, so what does happen here?"

"Well... we have a lot of fun with all the different things to do here! We get to learn how to play an instrument, do art, and learn all about pokemon and the world!"

"I see, so how many people are there?"

"Well, I guess maybe 30. We all help each other, and just some advice, Cora likes to be left alone," he said as he pointed to a girl at the opposite end of the room with jet black hair that was well-groomed, in a short, purple, and frilly dress.

In fact, I noticed that everyone here seems well mannered, par the shyness and occasional stuttering and avoiding eye contact, they were groomed nicely and spoke with a tone of intelligence.

Once lunch was over we had pokemon studies, apparently, the class would split into groups that would learn about a different region and then teach each other. I will admit that it would be quite effective if we were all older by 2-3 years but nonetheless this was a good way of learning. I was placed in the group that just to happened to be missing a member which was Kalos. Since there were all types of pokemon here, we got to examine some from the region we were studying, me taking note of the Froakie which as I had read before, were quite serious but evolved into one of my favorite pokemon, Greninja.

We took some time examining Froakie, Noibat, and Vivillion, before trading info with other groups. After that, we sped through the rest of the day with Art, where I painted an arbitrary picture of a flower field and Music where I decided on Violin. After that we had free time, then some General Education before getting dinner then going to sleep.

Of course, I wasn't but I decided to get a few hours rest and wake at 12 to explore.

This chapter was some fun to write, although it took me longer because of some research, still hope it didn't feel awkward or out of place in any way. Besides the excess amount of orphans but some aren't even abandoned, some chose to leave. Anyways give me ideas on what I should have him do while he is here! I'm running out! (YIKES). Anways, Ja ne!
