I got back to the inn and after checking with my team that everything was ready, I ate some dinner and went to my room to get an early rest so that I could perform my best the next day.

"Where I am?" I wondered as I woke up in what was obviously a dream

The scenery changed suddenly and I was now in a large immaculately white hall, then hologram-like displays flickered on around me, then I realize that my memories were being displayed on the screens.

My first memory was just seeing Mother standing over me in a dark room that obviously not a hospital, after looking at that I kept walking down the hall looking at memories of my confined childhood which literally consisted of one room and many teachers along with mother.

The next significant change was when I went on my first mission with Mother to take out the self-proclaimed 'Kings of Galar', then came the base takedown of Team Flare and then the Aether mission.

What caught my eye was the number of memories I had with Lillie, I was basically operating robotically during the day time so I wasn't very aware of my interactions during the day but looking at these memories it had seemed that to keep up my cover I had bonded with Ms.Aether quite a bit. Most of them were her coming up to me and playing/taking care of me since I was the new kid in the beginning. 

Oh? So maybe that's why Voltanuc wanted me to apologize to her, it seems I had a very friendly relationship with her during my time at that place. Ironically, I was the spy trying to get into her family's secrets after all. 

I looked on at the various memories where I was faking happiness and interest while listening to her list pokemon facts and play with them and looking back at them now, she was my first friend and an unknown giddiness of sorts swelled up inside me.

"Friends? How ridiculous, mere months ago I would've discarded such a concept as non-beneficial to me and disregarded ever having any, even now the concept seems so foreign to me, especially with a person I tried to kill," As I muttered that to myself a pain was sent through me and I wondered what was wrong, it wasn't like I had any physical defects, and it didn't feel like a physical pain either, so what was that?

I kept walking after that and looked through all my memories in a flash before an echoing sound of the wind was heard and I turned around just to get blown away and the entire hall shattered like glass before I awoke to my bed.

"That was some odd dream, no time to dwell though, I have to complete the mission," I said to myself as I got up, got dressed, looked in my bag one more time before heading out into the hallway and meeting my team in the back of the inn.

"Let's get moving, we don't have a moment to spare," I announced as I walked out and we all started dashing towards the Champion's house.

It took us about 10 minutes to get there and we all got into position lying in wait for the champion.

He came out a minute later and summoned his Charizard, at which point we attacked and sent out our own pokemon.

Letting out a surprised "What?" the Champion threw out the rest of his pokemon and they engaged ours. 

The Inteleon quickly jumped into the air and used multiple Snipe Shot's while retreating to the forest, I sent my Ōkami aka Riolu after it and two of my comrades sent a Weavile and Lieperd as well. 

The Charizard was strong and protected its Trainer with fury and vigor, batting away any physical attacks with its tail and using Flamethrower to maintain distance. 

I took an expanding ball and chucked it at Charizard after my comrades Kingdra had used Hydro Pump to clear and path, it hit and quickly encased Charizard who was not happy with such a development and kept shooting Flamethrowers. 

I saw the target flee towards the forest and attempted to pursue but his pokemon stopped me for a split second before they were thrown by Psychic from Princess, my Kirlia. I saw him summon Zacian and dash off in a burst of speed.

"tch." 

I blasted after him with my aura and easily started catching up before Zacian sped up even more. 

"What a pain, I'll have to detain it," I uttered as I summoned my aura dual pistols.

I easily closed the distance with a Thunderclap and took aim and shot two times, the bullets were meant to paralyze and one of them hit's mark as Zacian evaded the one meant for it, the other hit the Champion.

The Champion fell on top of Zacian but Zacian kept running and running we were out of the forest and approaching Wedgehurst at a blinding speed. We quickly zipped through the small town and I fired shot after shot only to have it be narrowly dodged by the randomly moving Zacian. 

Zacian then let out an ear-piercing howl that echoed in the Grasslands around, I used Thunderclap again in order to close the gap again and used my whips to try and completely detain its movement. It worked and we both flew threw the air and tumbled onto the ground I used aura to soften my landing while Zacian just crashed but it looked fine. As for the Champion, he was K.O'ed off to the side.

I took this opportunity to engage Zacian, I had to knock it out in order to obtain the relic and now it was the best time.

I immediately took out both of my pistol's and shot multiple bullets all of which were skillfully dodged and Zacian retaliated with Behemoth Blade, I dodged the strike but Zacian kept up the pursuit and closed the distance with Extreme Speed and seeing as I couldn't dodge, I took this opening and put all my aura into physical enhancement.

I tanked the entire hit and summoned a lance that I swung with great force,  batting the pokemon away pretty hard.

I switched to my Sniper and took aim before shooting and disabling the pokemon with the Emperor's lightning bullets. Only to my surprise, it swung it's sword and caught the electrical power before spinning and redirecting it back at me.

If it was any other person, that could've done massive damage but to me who was contracted with the Emporer of Lightning and Darkness, I simply absorbed the electricity. It didn't seem electricity would work, then a realization hit me.

Why hadn't the Otherworldly Darkness bared its fangs since it was supposed to be controlling all legendary pokemon? 

As this Revelation hit me, I remembered something else, Eternatus, the pokemon that was responsible for bringing the Darkest Day, had gone missing after the Champion defeated it.

A storm immediately brewed overhead and I looked at Zacian only to realize it had developed a black aura.

A vortex shaped hole formed overhead and down came Eternatus, with Altair right on top, floating down to the ground and recharging Zacian.

"What? Hey, Zamazenta come back!" I heard an obnoxious voice say and looked over to see the Champion's friend get tossed onto the grass by Zamazenta and the pokemon itself dash over to Zacian's side.

"You dare defy me again? I let you off last time, but it's clear you've become to defective to fix, I suppose I'll have to scrap you for good and create another, or maybe just let Altair over here take your power." 

The same bone-chilling voice I had heard months ago poured out from Altair's voice and Voltanuc was reacting pretty violently inside me.

It looks like the Darkness had its power stretched thin between keeping the Emperor/Empress inside of Altair in check, keeping the legendaries in check, and expanding its influence over other things, so it wasn't able to take me back right now. I also have a sneaking suspicion that Eternatus is not actually a pokemon, but one of the Darkness' creations. 

"This is going to be a problem..."
