{ she prepares her dress and sits on the bed looking at the window }

Ashi:- subah se smile kar rahi hai, aaj itni khush? 1 mahine se aaj kya badal gaya ?

{ replies to herself}:- kuch bhi to nahi, bas ab finally meri ayeshu ki shaadi hai, isliye . iski itni khushi hai

{ she gets up and twirls and collides with ayesha}

Ayesha:- aah! Kya kar rahi hai ?

Ayesha:- bas bas ruk ja tansen aur ja jake naha le aur tayyar hoja, jaldi kar

{ ayesha hits her head and ashi leaves }

Boys room:-

{ randeep wakes up and smiles and stretches}

Randeep:- goood morning { he looks at rag} lo ye to soya pada hai

{ randeep gets up and moves to rags side of bed when he feels the breeze on his face and turns towards the source – window}

Randeep:- haye kya mausam hai { he inhales it} kya hawa hai, ye khusbu ye shaadi ka mahaul kitna achha lag raha hai

{ sanjay enters }

Randeep:- yes?

Sanjay:- are vo pehli haldi ka mahurat nikal gaya hai, aunty ne kaha hai{ he sees rag } ye to soya pada hai

Randeep:- kabse utha raha hu uthta hi nahi

Sanjay:- kahin chadha ke to nahi.

Randeep:- kya tu bhi , chal utha

{ randeep and sanjay try but fail even water was not helpful }

Sanjay:- ab to bharosa ho gaya ye raat ko peeke hi soya tha

Randeep:- chup kar kuch bhi bolta hai

Sanjay:- ruk, ayesha bhag gayi ! ayesha bhag gayi !

{ rag gets up panicked }

Rag:- kya hua ayesha ko ?

Sanjay:- uth gaya ?

Rag:- ayesha bhag gayi? Kya hua?

{ sanjay and randeep burst into laughter}

Rag:- kya hua?

Randeep:- kuch nahi tu uth nahi raha to sanjay ne.

{ rag starts chasing sanjay before randeep could complete and randeep stopped to enjoy it, after he was satisfied he intervened }

Randeep:- bas karo

Rag:- tu hat aaj iski jaan le lunga

Randeep:- are are { sanjay hides behind randeep} haldi pe nahi jana

Sanjay:- o shit!

Randeep+rag:- kya hua ?

Sanjay:- mein haldi ke liye bulane aaya tha, bhai jaldi kar 10:45 ka mahurat hai

{ they see its already 10 and both rush, randeep goes to sanjays room to get ready }

{ on the venue there were white and purple curtains to keep the bride and groom from seeing each other }

{ groom side – 3 of them were waiting for rituals to begin }

{ ashi moves to randeep who was playing with a 4 yr kid}

Ashi:- aapka naam kya hai?

{ raunak turns to randeep ignoring her }

Randeep:- apna naam batao didi ko

Kid:- mela naam launak hai{ mera naam raunak hai }

Ashi:- raunak, mera naam ashi hai

Raunak:- asshi{ he repeated}

Randeep:- nahi raunak aise nahi bolte didi bolo, bolo ashi didi

Raunak:- ashi didi { obediently }

Randeep:- didi se pucho vo parde ke is taraf kya kar rahi hai ?

Raunak:- aap kyya kal lahe ho? { aap kya kar rahe ho }

Ashi:- mein apne jijaji se milne aayi hu. Aap yahan kya kar rahe ho?

Raunak:- mein aldi kel laha hu, bhaiya ke sath { mein haldi khel raha hu } { randeep smiles}

Ashi:- oh! Raunak haldi bhi lagata hai ?

{ raunak nods and randeep and ashi smile to each other }

Randeep:- didi ke saath nahi kheloge? { raunak nods }

{ randeep picks him and makes him put haldi on ashis cheeks with his tiny hands and then puts on other cheek by himself }

Randeep:- ye bhaiya ki , haina ?

Raunak:- { clapping} bhaiya ki , didi bhaiya bhi khelte hai

Ashi:- achha ? aur raunak ?

Raunak:- mein bhi

Ashi:- to raunak ko chocolate pasand hai ?

Raunak:- chocolate { he happily repeats and ashi gives it to him}

Randeep:- aur bhaiya ki ?

{ ashi makes raunak put haldi on randeep}

Ashi:- ye bhaiya ki, ok ?

Randeep:- ok , abhi ke liye. Raunak chale haath dhole ?

{ randeep leaves with raunak and ashi returns to brides side }

Ashi:- aunty ayshu aur kristina kahan hai ?

Ayeshas mom:- vo nahane gayi hai, tum bhi jao apni haldi nikalo aur khana khane aa jao

{ after haldi and lunch all went to their rooms and rested for the evening haldi function }

EVENING:-

{ ayeshas room, ayesha was getting ready , ayeshas mom was applying mehendi for kristina while ashi was packing and settling their stuff}

Ayeshas mom:- Im almost done , tum tayyar ho?

Ayesha{ from bathroom}:- bas ho gaya 5 min.

Ayeshas mom:- jaldi karo mahurat par neeche hona hai tumhe

Ashi:- aunty haldi aa gayi ?

Ayeshas mom:- aane wali hai wahan se leke nikal rahe hai

Ayesha{peeping through the door }:- matlab? Abhi tak pahuchi nahi? { she moves inside}

Mom:- damadji ko lagegi phir nikli hogi, tu pehle tayyar hoja phir haldi ki chinta kar { ayesha comes out}

Ayesha:- ashi ye dori to bandh . mein tayyar ho gayi . dekhna ye raghav na, pakka so gaya hoga isliye der ho rahi hai

{ she was moving here and there to get things to put on while ashi was following her holding the laces }

Ayesha:- aur tu kya mehendi lagwa rahi hai , hua nahi tera abhi tak ?

Kristina:- are, jeeks ka gussa mujhpe kyu nikal rahi hai?

Ayesha:- chup kar. Ashi jaldi kar na

Ashi:- to hilna band kar aur karne de

Ayesha:- mummy mein keh deti hu meri haldi mein der nahi honi chahiye, rag se bolo jaldi kare

Ayeshas mom:- kitni bar kaha hai naam nahi lete

Ayesha:- yaar mummy , mein hi dekhti hu , is rag ko to mein batati hu , phone kahan hai mera?

{ ashi makes her sit down forcefully }

Ayesha:- kya kar rahi hai ?

Ashi:- chup! Ek dum chup ho kar beth, ek dori ke liye itna ghuma rahi hai

Ashi:- to vo 1 ghante tak rahega, chup – chap bethi reh

{ ayesha gets ready and haldi takes place within mahurat, they play dance and enjoy

It was decided that no one will sleep as it was last day of ayesha with family, next evening was wedding }

** it is sort of ritual as all go to sleep in the wee hours so that bride can wake up, eat and get ready on time and is comfortable at the time of wedding rituals as of what I know**
