#1 How to distract your boyfriend from a game of FIFA!

S: Ashwiney! Namma ashaangi fans paavam. Romba miss panaraanga namala. Antha hashtaglaye paithiyam maathri sutharaanga. Oru varshathuku minnadi air aana episode la iruntha scene ellam eduthu edit panni podaraanga. Konjam karunai kaatunga manna? Oru photo? Oru video? Oru reel? Ethavathu panalaam please.
(Ashwin, I feel sorry for our 'Ashaangi' fans. They seem to miss seeing us together. The hashtag is full of fans who have gone crazy about us and they have been nostalgic about our first episode which was telecasted almost a year ago. Why don't you grace them with your presence? May be a picture or a video? Or a reel? Let's please do something!)

A: Hmm.

Sivaangi looked up from her phone and noticed that he wasn't paying attention to her. He was fully immersed in a game of FIFA. She scrunched her eyes and watched him continue ignoring her. She hatched an evil plan in her head.

S: Ashwin, ennoda plan okay vaa unnakku?
(Ashwin, does my plan sound okay to you?)

A: Nee enna sonnallum okay than ma.
(Whatever you say baby!)

She narrowed her eyes on him in a disapproving gaze and pursued her lips. She was already upset that he wanted to relax inside the house on this one day with her after 2 weeks of nonstop shoot. She was ready to let go off if he made an effort to keep up with the conversation but he did not even look up when he said that, so she decided to go ahead with her crazy idea. She stood up and placed her phone on the holder in a way that it was hidden from plain sight so that she could film him discreetly.

She rummaged through his wardrobe and pulled out a knee length sleeveless shirt dress that he had bought for her. She was glad that she had left it in his apartment and never took it home, it came handy now. She changed into the dress and left the top two buttons open. She pulled the hair bobble out and left her hair fall free around her shoulders, and then she put some lipstick and kohl on, leaving the rest of her face makeup free. She looked at her reflection in the mirror and was happy with the image of she saw.

Azhagha irukaye Sivaangi. Paakalaam, avaru distract aaguraaranu.
(I look pretty! Let us see, if my beauty can distract him).

She switched the back camera of her phone on to film his reactions and then she tried her best to walk like a lady rather than a penguin, but the man in question failed to pay notice to her making an effort to impress him.

S: Ashwiney!

A: Hmm, sollu ma?
(Yes?)

S: Inga paaru?
(Look at me)

A: Hmm, yenna ma?
(What is it?)

His eyes were glued to the TV!

S: I am going to meet a friend. Is this dress okay?

A: I am sure you will look pretty in whatever you wear.

S: Inga paaaaaruu nu sonnen!
(I said look at me!)

He gave her a fleeting glance and smiled a little with an approving look in his eyes.

A: I am very glad that I bought that dress for you. Azhaga iruka, aana velila porana antha button ah pottutu po.
(I am very glad that I bought that dress for you. You look beautiful, but please button up if you are going out wearing that).

He turned back to focus on his game as she huffed in frustration. She walked to grab her phone having failed in her mission to distract him. She huffed in frustration at this impossible man. A few minutes later, she set the phone back in the holder to focus Ashwin again. And then she picked her other phone and pretended to speak to someone.

S: Hey Vivaan! Naan ready ah iruken.
(Hey Vivaan, I am ready!)

...

What! Seriously? Keezha parking la irukaya? Super da.

...

How sweet of you! Itho! 5 minutes la vantharen.
(What! Seriously? Are you really waiting in the parking? Super. How sweet of you. I will meet you downstairs in 5 minutes)

She gave Ashwin the side eye and found that he was looking at her. Finally!

KD! That caught your attention! Wait pannu da chellam. Neeye vanthu kenjuva.
(That caught you attention. Darling, can't wait for you to beg of me to stay!)

She turned her back towards him and pretended to think while scratching her chin.

S: Umm, actual ah I can stay for dinner. Oru plan um illa inga. Vetti ya than iruken.
(Umm, I can stay for dinner, I don't really have any other plans)

By then Ashwin had forgotten all about his game and was next to her in a fraction of a second. She turned around as she felt his hand on her shoulder and found him looking at her questioningly. She held out a finger telling him to give her a minute. She pretended to laugh at something that the non-existent Vivaan said.

S: Dinner date ah?

He opened his mouth to talk and she pretended to mute the call.

A: Who the hell is Vivaan?

S: The new PR guy at Media Masons office. He is such a cutie pie!

That was it! Ashwin was fuming at the idea of dinner date with another man whom she described cute. He grabbed her phone and threw it on the couch. She looked at his with fake annoyance as he hugged her tight.

A: It is our date night! You are not going anywhere.

S: Date night ah? You date night is with your PS5! I regret buying you that FIFA 22! Anyway, you have fun with your play station. I am late for my dinner.

A: I am sorry. I will spend every second of the rest of my day with you. We will go out to your favourite dessert place after dinner. Promise!

S: No thanks.

A: Please ma? Naan un baby than ah? Kenja vaikaathe please. Nee yenna sonnalum panaren. En chella kutty la, paavam un Ashwin.
(Please love? I am your baby, ain't I? Don's make me beg, I will do anything you want me to!)

S: Appadiya? Paavam ah nee?

(Really?)

A: Aama ma, naan oru periya muttal! Ippadi oru azhagu devathaya pakathula vachitu yaaravathu play station vilayaaduvaangala? Naan nejamave loosu than. Manichidu ma.

S: Alright! Changed my mind.

Ashwin bent his head down and sighed a relief. As he looked up at her, he noticed the two top buttons of her dress and he moved his gaze back to her face. She had a mischievous smile on her sweet face and the very instant, he grabbed her face to kiss her with a passion that screamed jealousy and possessiveness.

A: Were you planning to go out with a man with your buttons undone?

S: It is decent!

He glowered at her making her do a victory dance in her head for managing to make him jealous.

S: Seri! I wouldn't have stepped out like this.

Ashwin pulled her in for another kiss. He moved her hair as he made his way to her neck and his lips pressed on her skin there, slowly sucking it and when he pulled back, he was content about leaving a bruising, possessive love mark.

A: I am your cutie pie. Don't you dare call anyone else that.

S: Actually.. Ashwin.. I don't know of anyone named Vivaan.

A: what?

S: Look there?

She hesitantly pointed at her other phone filming them.

S: I was planning on posting it as a prank on my boyfriend video on my YouTube channel. But it is not suitable for the public viewing now. Your kiss and this will make it an R rated video.

She looked genuinely disappointed as she pointed at the red mark on her neck.

A: Sivaangi ma.. Do you think I would agree to this idea?

S: I asked you if you were okay with my plan, and you said yes! Not my fault that you were busy playing your game when I asked you.

She replied with a sheepish grin as Ashwin bit his lower lip to stop himself from laughing.

A: Clever planning!

S: Yeah! But what is the use?! Nee kiss pannuntha vachu naan video potta, yennoda YouTube channel ku 18+ warning podanum naan. Ennoda viewers ellarum en channel ah unsubscribe panniduvaanga. Naan simple ah oru prank video panna paarthen. Po Ashwiney! Unna vachikitu onnume panna mudila! Nee waste uh!
(Yeah, but what is the use? If I post the video of you kissing me, my channel will need a rating. My viewers will unsubscribe. I want a simple prank video not an age restricted content. I can't plan anything with you!)

She stamped her feet as she went on about how he was so careful and that it made him a boring boyfriend. And that she was sad and blah blah.

S: Naan yen en sweet aana, sexy aana boyfriend kuda oru video or photo poda kudaathu?
(Why shouldn't I flaunt my perfectly hot boyfriend by posting a picture or video with him?)

A: Did you just call me sexy?

S: Yeah, that you are. But answer my question. When do I get to post a picture of you and me?

Ashwin looked at her tiny form with folded hands and expectant, puppy eyes.

Adorable!

A: Seri vaa.
(Alright, come with me)

S: Yenga?

He dragged her to the couch and made her sit there. He went to get his laptop while she was confused about his actions.

S: What are you doing?

He sat next to her.

A: Let us start a YouTube channel.

S: I have one already. And you have one too. A useless channel!

A: I said us!

S: Really? A couple channel?

A: Yup!

S: And what do we post on it?

A: Anything that you want!

S: Really? Anything?

A: Sensible stuff!

S: Yeah yeah! Okay what can we name it? Ashaangi?

A: There are probably hundreds and thousands of it already .

S: AK 💜 SK?

A: Perfect!

He created a channel for them.

S: But I don't have a video. You ruined my plan by kissing me senseless!

He kissed her cute pout again and reasoned with her that she constantly reminded him that he kissed her.

A: Seri vaa. Let's try and make a video of your idea.

S: How is that going to look natural?

A: We are actors. We can make anything look real!

S: Sema Ashwiney!

She climbed on his lap and wrapped her arm around his neck and kissed his cheek. She narrated her idea and they planned it together.

They enacted her idea of how to distract a boyfriend from his game like it was a script with some music played on the background at certain places to avoid making him look like a possessive, controlling boyfriend. But in the end, it portrayed them as a couple! Hightime they revealed to the world!

The final edit looked so subtle and natural. It was perfect!

Sivaangi was so excited about their first video together on a public forum after a really long time. Most importantly, it was also a way of making it official to the world. They had never denied their relationship in public but then they have never actually accepted it either. From the way they locked eyes and silently expressed their bond, and from their behaviour when they were around each other, the way their spoke highly of each other, it was just assumed by their fans  that they were a couple.

She sat next to him hugging his arm as he uploaded their first video. He looked at her sideways and saw happy tears in her eyes.

A: Kannamma, please don't!

She shook her head and refused to let go off his hand as she wiped her eyes on the sleeve of his tshirt.

S: It is nothing. I can't explain it! Do you know how happy I am right now? Don't mistake me, it isn't about flaunting you. It is just an unexplainable emotion.

Ashwin held her face with his other palm and kissed her hair.

A: Baby, I know how you feel.

S: How do you know?

A: Because I feel the same way.

S: I love you.

A: I love you too!

The video went viral and their channel had a million subscribers in less than a week with their fans demanding more videos of them.

Was it good? Not too bad I guess?
