Evie almost tripped while walking towards Jachin because of the box she was holding. It wasn't heavy, she was just clumsy.

Busy itong nakatalikod sa kanya at may ginuguhit sa lamesa. Evie couldn't help but marvel at him—until she stopped herself.

Nang lumingon si Jachin at magtama ang tingin nila ay agad itong ngumiti.

Jachin
Ang laki naman ng box na 'yan.

Evie couldn't resist smiling too.

It's a special delivery from Evie's delivery service!

Jachin
So nasaan ang broom mo at si Jiji?

Evie's eyes went wide when Jachin got the reference.

Evie
I have three Jijis at home. Pili ka na lang.

Evie

Marahang inilapag ni Evie ang box sa lamesa, careful not to shift the plates Jachin were working on.

Jachin removed the blue bow and lifted the box.

Jachin
Wow. . . para sa 'kin 'to? Shet, naluluha ako.

Jachin closed his eyes for a minute. Parang napawi lahat ng pagod niya nitong mga nakaraang gabi.

Agad nitong inalis sa kahon ang hand made sweater at isinuot. Jachin didn't care if he looked ridiculous—he loved it.

Evie squealed and did a little jump that made Jachin laugh.

It did. The muted blue, green, brown, and yellow just made the sweater all the more her. Evie like.

Jachin did what he felt right in the moment, and took a step towards Evie to envelope her in a tight hug.
