Chapter 1 Part 2

Chapter 1 Part 2

"Good morning, I will be your Anatomy teacher this year. My name is on the board."

"Psst... So, what's up with that Hottie Mc. New-Stalker?" Tanya whispered into Mersea's ears while she was writing down the bellwork. Mersea rolled her eyes.

"He is so not hot," she replied. Mersea was going to deny it until she believed it herself. She did not want to be distracted by assholes like him.

"Oh, yes he is. He is like 3rd in my Hot List," Tanya giggled.

"Then, if you think he's so hot you ask his ass out," Mersea began sketching a spear. Tanya finished up her bellwork and pouted away the whole class.

As class ended, Tanya responded to Mersea, "He's not in my league." She kept walkingdown the hall.

Mersea sat down in her math class and examined the students. She praised the lords that she had all the smart people so this class will be a breeze for her. The bell rang and in ran the King of Distractions, Jared. "Sorry, sir, I got lost," he huffed.

"That's fine don't let it happen again and take your seat quickly, Mr....?" the teacher waited for his name.

"Jared Red," he took the seat behind Mersea and radiated his goofy smile. Mersea sighed in defeat. Now, this won't be a breeze for her as she had initially thought out to be. It will be more like a strong gust from the South.

"We will be doing a pre-test to see where the class stands at a whole and how I will pace everyone throughout the year. Please do try your best," the math teacher explained.

"I'm terrific at math," Jared told Mersea. Mersea gagged at his over confidence.

"You're terrific at annoying me is more like it," she spat.

"I appreciate it, cupcake. I know I have skills," he winked at her.

Jared was the first to finish the pre-test. Mersea began working faster so that she can seem just as smart, but another guy stood up and turned in his pre-test. Dang it, she thought, I'm so slow. She bubbled in the last circle and turned her work in, then the class ended.

"So, I can tutor you in math if you want?," Jared snickered. Mersea scoffed in response and stormed out of class.

After enduring her least favorite subject, history, Mersea made her way into the gym for Physical Education. The class hasn't even started yet and the boys were already running laps so they can show off to the girls. The only three guys not running was Jared and two other guys. They were all conversing about something. Mersea gradually crept closer to eavesdrop on their conversation. "Where you from?" one of the boys asked Jared.

"I'm from..."

Mersea was flat on her back the wind knocked out of her. She groaned out in pain. One of the boys that were running didn't seem to have seen her and ran in to her causing her to be knocked down. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! Are you alright?" the boy culprit apologized frantically.

Mersea coughed. She heard a faint growling noise come from someone near by. She opened her eyes and noticed Jared with clenched fists. Why is he so mad? "I'm fine," she managed to say.

Mersea kept her eyes on Jared as the boy helped her up to her feet. He had his eyes closed and was ignoring his buddies. One of them touched his shoulder. He snapped. He grabbed the other guy's hand and threw him to the floor, "Don't TOUCH me!!!" He let go of his hand and stomped to one of the benches. Woah! He has issues, Mersea thought.

The boy on the floor stood up and kept talking to his friend like nothing even happened. He was fairly tall about the same height as Jared with chocolate brown hair.

"I want two groups. One group of girls and one group of boys. Girls on the left, Boys on the right," the coach blew his whistle. Everyone began forming the two groups. Mersea glanced at the boy's group there was twenty of them and twenty-five girls. Jared was satnding in the back. "I am going to be evaluating every indiviual's strength, endurance, and speed, then I will place you in three groups accoriding to how you did. This is so that when we have group games the teams will not leave anyone out. First up running. I will see how many laps you can do in how much time before you tire out.," he blew his whistle once again. "Girls first."

The boys stood to the side while the girls ran around the gym. Mersea was on her third lap when she got tired half way. "Good job, Ms. Stone," the coach praised. Mersea nodded.

"You're pretty fast for a girl, cupcake" Jared teased. Mersea gave him a fake smile.

Now it was the boys turn. They all raced around the gym. Jared was in front by a little and behind him was the boy he had thrown to the ground. After most of the boys tired out on their third lap, four boys were on their fifth lap, while Jared and chocolate head were starting their sixth. The four boys tired out after the fourth and chocolate head tired out on his sixth, but Jared finished his seventh.

Jared walked up to Mersea and smiled. "H-how did I do?" he asked out of breath. Sweat was dripping from his black hair. He collapsed to the floor and just rested there, looking up at Mersea with his green orbs.

"Not bad for a stalker," she laughed.

He took a few seconds to catch his breath before replying, "I'm not a stalker... I-I just think you're cool." He coughed.

Mersea's heart started beating faster, but she kept her cool. "Do you say that to every girl that passes by you?" she scoffed.

"Only the dorky ones," he laughed, standing up. "I tell the pretty ones to call me," he winked. Mersea shot him daggers. Wow, is he calling me ugly? She thought.

"You're a jerk," she insulted.

"You're sensitive," he winked once again.

After Mersea went to English, the first day of school was finally at it's end. Tanya walked up to Mersea with a huge grin on her freckled face. "What happened while I was gone?" Mersea asked knowing something good must have happened.

Tanya giggled. "This cute guy named Jo is in my English and Math class," she said, sticking out her tongue day dreaming about holding his hand one day.

They walked outside where Serina was waiting patiently. "Did you talk to him?" Mersea interrogated.

Tanya frowned. "No... I was nervous. He doesn't know I exist, yet. I was staring at the back his brown head through the entirity of those classes. I don't even know if we have homework for tommorow or something," she ranted.

Mersea laughed, "You're a complete mess. You must really like him?"

"I totally do," she admitted, hopping into her car. She drove Mersea and Serina home and drove back to her own house, still in dream land. It was a long day for both of them. Mersea hopes to be left alone by Jared, while Tanya hopes to see her dream guy once again.
