Ch 2

A/N: Hey everyone! Hope you guys liked the last chapter. Did you guys figure out the idea yet? Well even if you didn't, it will be revealed in a few chapters. Read the A/N at the end to find out when the next chapter will be out. On with the chapter!

As soon as Harry was thrown back, he got up and gestured for others to immediately disapparate from there, for he knew what that meant.

Harry Potter had lost.

The good side had lost the Battle of Hogwarts.

Because if they hadn't, then the Elder Wand would have worked for Harry at the first try only, even if it wasn't in his hands, and no matter what the spell was.

Even if the spell was Opugno, which would conjure birds and perhaps Harry could have directed them at Voldemort.

Hermione would have certainly been proud of that.

Or even if Harry would have used Rictumsempra at Voldemort, which would have tickled him, causing him to laugh uncontrollably.

Now that would certainly have been a sight to watch.

But seriously, Harry wondered whether or not Voldemort had ever laughed.

Like a real laugh, not that cackle like thing which Bellatrix did.

But then again, he doubted that a simple joke would be able to make the Lord Voldemort laugh normally.

Or maybe the sight of Draco Malfoy as a ferret would make him laugh.

Perhaps if Lucius Malfoy became a ferret, then Voldemort would laugh. Or how about Lucius Malfoy as a peacock, maybe the albino one at that.

Okay, we are way off the matter now.

Back to the Battle.

Harry, before Voldemort could even raise his wand again at him, disapparated from there, after making sure the people standing there had done the same.

The place he had apparated to was none other than Grimmauld Place, which was a part of their plan B.

Plan A had been simple:

Destroy as many horcruxes as they could before the Battle began, then head to Hogwarts for the final Battle, and destroy the remaining horcruxes while fighting with the death eaters and then finally facing Voldemort.

And hopefully, if Harry's theory about Draco Malfoy being the master of the Elder Wand was right, then he would win the war, as he had overpowered the blond wizard at his home, Malfoy Manor.

Though Harry had become the master of the Elder Wand after that, the raven haired wizard doubted that if it weren't for the events that had taken place at the Manor before the Trio had escaped, then taking the wand from Draco wouldn't have been that easy.

Harry was no fool.

He knew perfectly well how good his enemy was at dueling. Even back in second year, though Snape was assisting Draco, it was clear that Draco himself was very good at using spells and fighting.

But Harry was also eventually right about his theory of Draco being a death eater in their sixth year.

So if anything, the fact that Harry was not able to defeat Voldemort only meant one thing.

The fact that Voldemort had made more horcruxes.

Because otherwise, Harry couldn't think of any other reason as to why he lost, except well, someone disarming Draco before he did, and then Voldemort disarming that person, but then again, Harry didn't have any proof of that.

And as for Plan B, well:

In case Harry loses, the Order and Dumbledore Army's members will apparate back to Grimmauld Place, and if there are any students left, then some of the Weasleys will take them to the Burrow.

And unfortunately, it seemed as if they would have to follow the second plan.

When Harry reached Grimmauld Place, he found out that almost everyone had arrived, and so, they started putting up wards around the place to only let the people who didn't have the dark mark in.

For before leaving for the Battle, Kingsley and McGonagall had already put up the wards to only let the recognised and familiar people in.

"How did that happen, Harry?" Ron asked him as everyone gathered in the living room. "How in the earth did you manage to lose to Voldem-"

"Shh!" Hermione hissed. "The taboo might still be there. We shouldn't say his name until we manage to secure this place properly."

"Hermione's right." Harry sat down on the couch and covered his face with his hands. "And as for how I managed to lost, I don't know, Ron. The wand should have worked for me, and it nearly did, because You Know Who had cast Avada Kedavra, and I was merely thrown backwards, so it is clear that the Elder Wand belongs to me. But at the same time, if that is the case, then I should have been able to defeat him. But that didn't happen, and I can think of only one reason for that."

"You Know Who had probably made more horcruxes, which we had no idea about." Hermione whispered in shock and her raven haired best friend nodded.

They didn't call her the Brightest Witch of Her Age for nothing.

"Bloody hell." Ron gasped. "But that wasn't supposed to happen. We had destroyed all the horcruxes and then Harry was supposed to defeat V- I mean, You Know Who. Why didn't we know that there were more horcruxes?"

When no one said anything, the red headed wizard continued, "Tell me, guys! And Harry, didn't you say that Dumbledore told you everything he knew? I mean, not everything since he loved to talk in riddles and we had to search for them ourselves. But still, Dumbledore clearly said that there were seven horcruxes, and we destroyed each and every single one of them. So Dumbledore was clearly wrong. I can't believe we trusted him-"

"Just shut up, Ron." Ginny snapped at her brother and sat down next to her boyfriend. She rubbed his back and squeezed his shoulder. "Nobody wants to hear your complains right now. We know we lost and now instead of wondering why that happened, our first step should be making sure that everyone who was there at the Battle, either came back here or at the Burrow."

"She's right." Hermione nodded and then turned towards Ron. "And we shouldn't think so harshly, Ron. Dumbledore said that he assumed there were seven horcruxes, he had no proof of that and neither did we. Everyone makes mistake, you know, and he did too. Besides, it was our choice to believe him."

"Yeah and look where it led us." Ron snarled. "His mistake cost us the Battle. We lost Hogwarts, and now we have no idea how to move forward from that."

Without waiting for anybody to respond, he turned to leave the room,  but before he could do so, the door of the living room opened.

"Maybe it is more Order members." McGonagall thoughtfully said.

Though everyone had nodded at that, their eyes widened and jaw dropped when a few people stepped inside the room.

Which just happened to be none other than the Malfoys, of course.

---------

"Where the heck is he?" Theo panted as they almost reached the top of the hill they were climbing. "I can't find him anywhere here."

"Do you think Draco is hiding somewhere?" Blaise frowned. "He disappeared straight after Potter lost. And we haven't seen him since. I thought we had agreed to meet at that secret spot near the lake which Draco had found out ages ago?"

"Ungrateful git." He grumbled. "Here we are searching for him, and he is hiding somewhere. Do you think we can contact Narcissa or Lucius somehow?"

"Well unless they use those Muggle things, what are they called again, oh yes, mobiles, I don't think we can do that." The Italian wizard shook his head. "Do we really have to climb all the way up, Theo?"

"Yes!" Theo hissed. He grabbed his friend's hand and started dragging him towards the top of the highest hill of Hogsmeade, from where not only the whole village, but also the grounds of Hogwarts were visible. "Did you really think that we climbed this much just to sit here and relax? Come on, lazy prat, just a few more steps to go."

"I wish we could use magic." He muttered and shot him a dark glare. "Then I could have just levitated myself to the top, and wouldn't have to listen to your unappreciative comments and probably would have hexed you as well."

"Yeah well if you want to get caught by the death eaters, then go ahead by all means, your majesty." Theo bit back. "I don't even know why I am friends with you and Draco. You are a lazy prat, and Draco is an idiotic ferret who doesn't have manners."

"You love us, you really do." Blaise nodded to himself. "We are best friends. And if you didn't love us, then you wouldn't have hugged me as soon as you me, and wouldn't climb this hill to search for Draco."

"I hate it when you are right." He muttered in response.

"Oh when will you learn, my dear stupid, Theo?" Blaise smirked at him. "I am always right."

"That would happen when pigs fly around." Theo answered. "And no- don't you dare use your wand to make pigs fly. We aren't using our wands to track Draco, and you want to make pigs fly around."

The smirk fell of Blaise's face as his hand paused while trying to take his wand out from the holster.

"It is like telling the Death Eaters, 'Oh here we are, do come. Let us have a tea party or something, and our dear Dark Lord can dress up like a princess in a pink gown and we can talk about crushes.'" Theo continued.

"I don't know why I am friends with you." The Italian wizard repeated his friend's earlier words. "You are so mean. Draco is way better than you, honestly."

"And now we both know that it is not true at all." He rolled his eyes at him. "That blond git? Oh please, the ferret is rude all the time."

"You know what?" Theo raised his eyebrows in return and Blaise continued, "I think you might be right. Draco only talks about how handsome and talented he is, when he is not talking about Granger and how she irritates him all day, that is. Well that was the scenario before our sixth year."

"Hey, hadn't we agreed to not talk about sixth year?" Theo frowned and looked around as they finally reached the top of the hill. "We both know how Draco was like in that year, so we should avoid talking about it, both in front of Draco, and also when we can't find the git."

"I think the only entertaining thing that year was how obsessed Potter was with our dear Draco." Blaise joked, trying to lighten the mood. "For a moment, I actually thought that Potter had a crush on Draco, and was like a secret admirer or something."

"More like an obsessed stalker, you know?" Theo snorted. "Whenever I would walk by the great Golden Trio that year, all I could hear was Potter telling that Draco was definitely a Death Eater."

"If only he knew how right he was." He rolled his eyes and took out a pair of binoculars from his bag. "Come on, we should search for our dear dragon."

"The things we do for our idiot and stupid best friend." Theo muttered and did as his friend said to him.

For a while, the two searched for Draco and his parents using the binoculars but to no avail. Finally, when they were about to give up when they spotted two people standing near the edge of the hell.

"Hey look!" Theo shouted. "I can see a blond person standing there. It has to be Draco, I am pretty sure."

"So who is that raven haired person standing next to him?" Blaise asked him. "Do you think it is Potter? Though I don't see any reason as to why Potter will stand next to his arch nemesis, that too just minutes after the Battle ended."

"We won't find out anything by just standing there." Theo packed his bag and asked the other wizard to do the same. "Let us go down to the bottom, and keep your wand at the ready, just in case it isn't Draco or Potter, or whatever."

Blaise nodded and together, the two climbed down the hall. This time, Blaise didn't complain because all he could think about was hugging his best friend tightly and asking him where the hell he had been.

Halfway through their journey, they heard someone shout.

"Blaise!"

"Theo!"

Frowning, the two wizards turned to each other. "Do you still think it is Draco?" Blaise asked his friend. "Because he definitely doesn't have a shrill and high pitch was like that, and the first shout was definitely very shrilled."

"And his voice isn't that soft either." Theo nodded. "Like the second shout was."

Pointing their wands in front of them, Blaise and Theo quickly walked down the hill, and to their astonishment, there stood two witches, instead of two wizards.

So they definitely weren't Draco and Harry.

And finally, when they were close enough to recognise who they were, they grinned widely.

For there stood Luna and Pansy.

Blaise ran towards his girlfriend, Pansy, and hugged her tightly without even making sure it really was her.

Theo was the same. He ran towards Luna as fast as he could, and wrapped his arm around the witch he loved tightly.

-------------

"Hello, Dolohov." Blaise grinned at him and stood next to him. "So how have you been? Came straight here after the Battle, did you?"

"Shut up, Zabini." The Death Eater hissed at him. "And stop acting like we are best friends or something."

"Oh you have hurt me by saying that." He frowned. "I thought we were brothers for life, you know? You are so rude, my brother."

"Want me to hex you or something?" Dolohov glared at him. "Or I can think of worse spells to use on you right now. And mind you, it won't be pretty."

"Are you under an Imperius Curse or something?" Blaise asked, and snapped his fingers in face as if to bring him out of the daze. "Or maybe someone gave you a hate potion? Or was it a blackmail? Or maybe-"

"Freaking shut up, will you Zabini?" Antonin Dolohov gritted his teeth. "I swear, as soon as Voldemort comes here, I will tell him about you."

"Oh so now you like your brother that much to tell his praises to the Dark Lord, huh?" He nodded to himself. "And pretty brave of you to call him by his name."

"Where's Malfoy, huh?" Dolohov ignored his comment. "He is best friends with you and Nott Junior, isn't he? Where is the pretty boy now?"

"I don't know if Draco will like you calling him pretty boy." Blaise muttered. "But why talk about git when I am here? Do you know how nice and majestic peacocks are here, at the Manor?"

That was Blaise and Theo's goal.

Oh, not talking about and praising the peacocks.

Before the two had arrived at the Malfoy Manor, they had decided about what to tell people if they ask about the whereabouts of the Malfoy family to them.

As they themselves didn't know where they were, and they couldn't find their best friends and his parents at the Manor as well, Blaise and Theo decided to stop people from asking about the Malfoys.

They would try to distract the Death Eaters as much as they could, before the Malfoys arrived.

And as for where the Malfoys were, well Blaise and Theo had a far fetched theory that they were with the Order, because Draco had told them about asking for the Order's protection before the war.

But they doubted that Draco would be able to locate the Order's headquarters or any of the safe houses, really.

But what they didn't know was that Draco knew each and everything about the Order's headquarters, but we will get to that later.

And Luna and Pansy, as it turned out that they were actually themselves and not just imposters, had also agreed with their plans.

"Oh hey there, brother." Theo raised his hand as if to high five Dolohov but pouted when it was rejected. "So you have been acting really mean and rude to us today, Antony, right Blaise?"

"What in the freaking hell is Antony?" Dolohov asked before Blaise could reply. "It is Dolohov to you, or well Antonin sir if you insist."

"You keep forgetting that we are like your brothers, Tony." Theo rolled his eyes at him. "There now, is that okay? You didn't like Antony, so I changed it to Tony. I am pretty good at coming up with nicknames, ain't I?"

"Oh you should know about the nicknames he used to come up back in Hogwarts, Tony." Blaise chuckled. "He would spend all day thinking about the nicknames. Even came up one for McGonagall. What was it? Oh right, Minnie Minnie Harsh Witchy."

"That's a nickname?" Dolohov raised his eyebrows at him, not noticing how Theo sighed in relief as he fell into their trap. "If that is what you call a nickname, I am not sure whether or not I would ever trust you two to come up with nicknames."

"Oh please." Blaise snorted. "Everyone loved our nicknames. And as for why Theo called McGonagall Minnie Minnie Harsh Witchy? Well that is because one day, McGonagall scolded Theo harshly in front of everyone and even gave him detention. Theo was really angry about that afterwards. Ranted about it all day even. I almost used Silencio on him, but well, being the kind person I am, I didn't do it. Hey, did we tell you about the time Theo fell into the Black lake?"

"Not that story, Zabini." Theo pleaded him.

"Oh now I am intrigued about it." Dolohov grinned and turned to Blaise. "Do tell us, Zabini, I really want to know."

"Hmm but should I tell you now?" Blaise tapped his chin in thought. "I mean, you have been really rude and mean to us today. And that is not a nice thing to do to your brothers. Did you know that you were the first person we thought about when the Battle had ended? And then there is you, who doesn't even spare us a thought. It is really disappointing, Antony. And we are really hurt by that too, aren't we, Theo?"

"Oh yes, we certainly are very hurt by that statement of yours, Antony or Tony or whatever." Theo immediately nodded. "I can't believe that we ever trusted you to be nice to us. How delightful we were, to treat you as our brother. We thought of you as our leader, even greater than Lord Voldemort, and you don't even listen to you."

"Ah well thank you for thinking about me so highly." Dolohov told them. "And as for the story about you-"

"Dolohov!" Voldemort hissed. "Come here."

Blaise and Theo high fived each other and followed him.

--------

"What the hell?" Ron bellowed and took his wand out, pointing it at the three people in front of him.

But before he could even think of a spell, Draco wandlessly put a shield around him and his parents. "Either you lot listen to us, or I will go straight to the Dark Lord and tell him that you all are here. So, think twice before hexing me, Weasel."

Just as everyone started shouting, Harry looked up and silenced them with a look. "I don't think shouting at him is of any good to us, Malfoy could just go and tell his master everything at any moment now."

As if to prove the Chosen One right, Draco took his wand out and told his parents to grab his hands, but he was severely hoping that he would not have to disapparate from there.

Not that Draco let anyone else know of that fact, of course.

The blond wizard had no desire to tell Voldemort about the Order's Headquarters.

"Fine, Malfoy." Harry crossed his arms in front of him and faced his arch enemy. "You have six minutes to say whatever you want, I promise no one will do anything, but if you even try to think about doing something, you know that you will be outnumbered, and believe me, nobody here will hesitate to use a spell on you."

Except well, Luna.

For the witch was just merely smiling at the blond wizard, and didn't even have her wand in her hand.

"One sensible person surrounded by bunch of crazy wild animals." Draco muttered and rolled his eyes, and though he did lowered his wand, he still had a tight grip on it.

He didn't trust a single Gryffindor, much less the Order members currently in this room.

"I am sure you all will be thinking how did I even know about this place," The Slytherin Prince continued, "And well even though I am one for mysteries, I also know that mystery will get me nowhere right now, so you all should feel lucky that I am telling you the truth. Without further ado, here is the truth. The thing is, you all should have thought a lot of times before choosing this place, Grimmauld Place, as the headquarters. The reason why? Well you do know who this place belongs to, right?"

"Harry, of course." Ron gritted out.

"No points to Gryffindor this time, I am afraid." Draco glared at the red headed wizard. "For I don't think points are given for stupidity, right Professor McGonagall? Well anyways, I should perhaps make the question simpler because I don't want any stupid answers like the one Weasel gave. Who is the original owner of Grimmauld Place?"

"The Blacks." Harry answered. "Sirius gave this place to me, and he is a Black, and this place has been with his family for years."

"As I said, one sensible person in this whole crowd." Draco nodded. "And you do know who is the last living Black? And consider half Blacks in the list too."

"Teddy and Andromeda, of course." Ginny answered.

"Are all Weasels this stupid?" Draco mumbled. "My aunt was banished from the family years ago, so she would not have gotten the ownership of this house. Anyways, I should have said half Blacks who are of age-"

"But that means you, doesn't it?" Hermione raised her eyebrows at him. "Your mother is a Black, which makes you half Black and half Malfoy."

"Wouldn't expect anything else from the Brightest Witch of Her Age. Perhaps you should learn from your girlfriend,  Weasel." Draco felt a surge of annoyance while saying the last statement, but he didn't want to deal with the emotion it brought in him at that moment. "And as I am half Black, technically, this place belongs to me. And it should have been given to me, had Sirius Black not given it you, Potter. And so, as much as you are the owner of this place, I am too, if not more."

Harry let his words sink in. How come he had never given a thought to this before?

Was he oblivious?

"Moving on," The Slytherin continued, "As I am the owner, I got to know each and everything about this place, just by sitting at the Manor and concentrating on the wards around this place. I knew it from the very moment you all made this place as the Headquarters, and even now, I can tell you every single details of the wards around this place, who was the first one to come here, the last, and all that stuff."

"And so as you all can see, not harming me and my parents is the best thing you can do now. One step out of line, and I go straight to the Dark Lord to tell him everything." Draco finished.

"How do we know that you haven't actually told You Know Who everything yet?" Ron asked him.

"Tell me one thing, Weasel, do you actually try to be this stupid, or is it just in your nature to be like this?" Draco rolled his eyes, he was tired of this stuff. "If I had already told him, then do you really think that you would still be standing here? Don't you think that if that was the case, then you would have found Death Eaters, and maybe the Dark Lord himself waiting here when you decided to come back to this place. I literally told you that I knew about this from the moment the Order chose it to be the Headquarters, and I could have gone to tell all Death Eaters about it any time, but I didn't. So really, you all should be glad that I didn't."

"He is right." Harry sighed. "Listening to him is the only thing we can do right now. Tell me, Malfoy, why have you come here now? Why come here and tell us all of this?"

"Oh that is really simple." The blond wizard shrugged at him. "My parents and I want to defect, and join you all."

Ron's eyes widened. "Like hell you-"

"You were saying something, Weasel?" Draco once again pointed his wand in front of him, and got in the position to disapparate from there.

"Just shut up for a second, Ron." Harry snapped at him. "We are in no position to argue with him right now, because it will just take a second for him to tell You Know Who everything, and we don't have a lot of safe houses right now. So please put your anger aside, and listen to him."

"I should have just met with you alone, Potter." Draco shook his head at him. "So as I was saying, we want to defect, and join the Order. We don't want to be constituted with the Dark side anymore. And we all know that the darkness will only rise now that they have won the Battle of Hogwarts. So, there you have it. That was our motive of coming here."

"How can we even believe you?" Ron frowned.

"You see, Weasel, you have no choice otherwise." Draco smirked at him. "You don't want to believe me, fine? I will just go and tell-"

"Malfoy." Harry interrupted him. "You realise this is a lot, don't you? Just a few hours back you were fighting for the dark side, fighting against us. And even though you didn't harm me, you were still against us. You are asking a lot from us here. And I don't think it is possible to make a decision as big and important as that right now."

"Understandable." Draco sighed. "And don't worry, I am not asking you to make a decision right now. I am going to give you all one day, think and talk about it all you want. I will come here tomorrow, and if you decide to accept us, then everything is well and good. And if you don't, then we will see."

"What proof do you have that you won't just go and tell You Know Who after you go back to your house?" Ron protested.

"Weasel, do stay out of matters that you don't have the knowledge and common sense to know about." Draco snarled at him. "If I wanted to tell him, I would have done so ages ago, and also, if I want to defect, then what good it would do me to tell him?"

"Fine, Mr Malfoy." Kingsley nodded at him. "You and your parents can come here tomorrow, and we will tell you our decision."

"Here," Hermione gave him a galleon, "I will tell you the time of tomorrow's meeting through this."

Draco took it, and after giving her a nod, disapparated with his parents.

"Are we really going to do this, Harry?" Seamus asked him.

"We have no other choice, Seamus." Harry sighed. "There isn't enough space elsewhere to fit all of us, and besides, Malfoy maybe helpful to us."

-----------

Draco sighed as he apparated himself and his parents to the grounds of the Malfoy Manor. He put his wand back inside his pocket and turned to face his parents.

"Do you think the Order will accept us, my baby dragon?" Narcissa asked as she lifted a hand to brush hair out of her son's face.

"I don't know, Mother." The Slytherin wizard sighed. "From the way I have asked them, it looks like an ultimatum. And technically, they don't have any other major safe house for everyone."

"Let us just hope that they will at least accept you, Draco, after all, you had never wanted to become a Death Eater." Lucius sighed.

"If anything, the Order is totally unpredictable." His son shook his head and then turned to face his childhood house, which had become a place of his nightmares, just like Hogwarts had.

"We better go in now, after all, the Dark Lord is eagerly waiting for us, I am sure." He let out a bitter chuckle and led the way inside the Manor.

On his way to the hall, he saw many Death Eaters, both of low and high ranks standing with each other.

They seemed to be whispering among themselves, and Draco knew that one of the topics was how Voldemort would punish him and his family.

For the Malfoys had betrayed the Dark Lord in front of everyone.

And Draco knew perfectly well that Voldemort didn't treat failure and betrayal mercifully, he had first hand seen the impact of the former.

His favorite? Cruciatus Curse of course.

As Draco had expected, the torture seemed to went on for hours and hours, with Legilimency and some other spells being occasionally used along side the Cruciatus Curse.

Voldemort even asked the other Death Eaters to torture Draco when the blond wizard had tried to stop the Dark Lord from torturing his parents.

The Malfoy heir sent a look to his mother when she tried to intervene, and sighed in relief, just before he let out a whimper as the Curse hit him, when he saw his father hold his mother back.

Finally, when it was almost mid day did Voldemort stop the torture, deciding that it was enough for today, but of course, that didn't mean the punishment had ended yet.

The Malfoys were like a prisoner in their own house.

Later, as almost every Death Eater had arrived, Voldemort ordered them to get ready for a meeting in the drawing room.

Draco sat with his parents at the end of the table, as because of the betrayal they had fallen in ranks. And though some people would think of it as a disgrace, Draco didn't really mind as the farther he sat away from the Noseless Psycho, the better.

And though the table was quite long, Draco heard it perfectly clear when Voldemort said, "I am sure most of you are wondering, despite being happy, that how I won from Harry Potter."

He continued, "You see, my friends, I had a real spy amongst the Order, who informed me of each and every thing going on there."

Well damn, Draco thought.

A/N: That's it for this chapter. It was 4900+ words. Hope you guys liked it. I am pretty sure you have figured out the main idea, Draco being a defected Death Eater, but believe me, there is more to the central plot. Random question: Dumbledore's Army or the Order? Answer in the comments below. Vote, comment and please share my story. Reviews are always appreciated. Thank you!
