SUMMARY
THE EARTH WAS ONCE young and full of prosperity and love. The only threats on the planet came from other dark dimensions, other worlds. And there were no superheroes or Avengers, only Sorcerers and the Sorcerer Supreme. Agamotto founded the Masters of the Mystic Arts and shared his gifts with the world. He created his Eye, in which held an Infinity Stone, and wore it around his neck, using its powers to defend the Earth.
But as the years dragged on and the once young and spry Agamotto grew older, he felt a new need in his heart -- the need for a family. When a new student arrived at Kamar-Taj, Agamotto found himself entranced with the woman. Alle Unrau had left her home country of Wakanda to explore the world and find herself. She grew tired of always staying hidden and away from what the world had to offer. When she learned of the Mystic Arts, she knew she had to learn.
Agamotto took her under his wing immediately and under his guidance, Alle became a powerful Sorceress in only a year and a half. That was also enough time for the two to fall in love. Romance between the Sorcerers was not uncommon but none lasted entirely long. Agamotto did not care. He was willing to give up his post of Sorcerer Supreme for this woman. He proposed to her and they were soon wed.
When Alle announced her pregnancy, Agamotto had a vision, given to him through the Time Stone. Death, destruction, the end of the world. And at the centre of it was their child. The man, blinded by love for his wife and unborn child, could not believe the vision. That was the first time in fifty years Agamotto removed his Eye, placing it safely in the centre of Kamar-Taj under the watch of the Librarian.
As her pregnancy continued, Alle grew weaker. Agamotto watched her slowly decay, unable to do anything. He made sure she was comfortable and well-fed, but couldn't help the nagging thought in the back of his head that reminded him of the vision. When Alle gave birth two months later, he was sure she would perish, but by some sort of miracle, the twinkle in her eye returned and she looked as beautiful and young as the day she arrived in Kamar-Taj.
The day their daughter was born was the happiest day of their lives. Niri Unrau, named after Alle's mother, was perfect. But as she cried out to the world, the ground below seemed to shake and from that quake, nearly all of Kamar-Taj was destroyed. The Sorcerers shielded themselves and as soon as Alle began rocking the newborn, the crying stopped and so did the quake.
As the days passed, Agamotto heard whisperings around the newly built walls of Kamar-Taj. The Sorcerers blamed Niri, believed that she was cursed. Again, the flash of the vision came to Agamotto. He refused to believe it, taking the power of those who talked ill of his daughter and banishing them from Kamar-Taj. After that, no one dared speak out against the Sorcerer Supreme's family.
Years passed and Niri grew bigger and bigger, towering over her mother with ease at only twelve years old. That is when her training began. Against his better judgement, Agamotto began the training himself. Niri, gifted like her mother, picked up Sorcery with ease. As she grew older, she had bested nearly every Sorcerer at Kamar-Taj, including her mother. Agamotto noticed how people would avoid her or how nervous they looked when speaking with her.
After leaving the Eye to the watch of the Librarian, Agmotto placed it back around his neck. As soon as he did so, green and sinister magic swirled around the room and a scene was presented to him. When Agamotto removed the Eye almost twenty years ago, his dropped guard allowed for the demon Mephisto an opportunity to place a part of his soul into Agamotto's unborn baby, dooming them all. With his powers combined with Sorcery -- a power which on his own was not possible -- would bring the universe to its knees. Agamotto had failed as Sorcerer Supreme.
Little did he know, Niri had seen the whole thing. She did not know about the demon occupying her soul and it terrified her. She ran away, crying to her mother. She tried to tell her, to warn her, but something beyond her ability compelled her to kill Alle. Conjuring a blade, she threw it into her chest. Niri let out a sob, dropping to her knees as she cradled her mother's dead body.
Agamotto was devastated when he found them. He asked Niri who did it, who killed his love. When she told him it was her, his world crumbled. At that moment, he used the Time Stone for something he was never supposed to use it for -- bring back the dead. It worked, much to his surprise. But as Alle rose back to her feet, something snapped in Niri's mind. Mephisto took hold of the sixteen-year-old, using her power to destroy Kamar-Taj, just as he did when she was born.
Niri fled, never to return. She roamed the Earth, part human part demon, looking for a home. When she hit the age of twenty-three, she had given up, ready to kill herself and the demon within. But Mephisto would not let that happen. She was his most powerful host and he was not giving that up. He took hold of her body after lying dormant for so many years and forged a life for Niri -- a husband and twins. Niri only woke when Mephisto left her body, splitting into one of the twin girls she was about to give birth to. She did not survive the delivery, in her final moments confused and scared. She was twenty-nine.
And that was the curse Agamotto's family was given from then on. The curse of Mephisto, the curse of only a short thirty years on his beloved Earth. Only girls were ever born, but what Mephisto didn't account for was that as his small piece of soul split and travelled from child to child, it would weaken and when Isla Summers was born an empathic mutant on June 10th, 1996, his powers were at their weakest. He could not take over her body or even explicitly contact her. But the one thing he still had insured was her death. She would not make it past the age of thirty.
NOTE
So, the entire summary might just be the prologue (which you can use) lmao. I really love the idea for this story but I have like zero motivation for it and I am REALLY hoping someone takes it cause I wanna see it completed! My only thing is Isla MUST die at the end, no arguing.
