She threw the ball at his head as you were talking to him.

It didn't suprise you a bit to see excercise equipment in the room. It was the Crocks place after all. But what came next was stunning Thad suceeding using the salmon ladder with super speed. Over and over, hearing the quick sounds of metal clanging until he jumped down. Barely breaking a sweat and grinning till he noticed you.

He knocked Courtney out of the air and she hit the ground... She wasn't moving but that didn't stop him. He started taking slow steps toward Stargirl." There's one more thing I just want to tell her." 

"I'm not the Flash... I'm not kid flash..... I'm the Rival." He stated after stepping out in his costume.You knew Jay Garrick used to wear a sweater, jeans and a helmet but Thad refused every part of anothter speedster's legacy. " This is who I am.... I'm not the scarlet speedster, I'm not racing in a dead man's suit. "

"In middle school I was signed up  for soccer... There was a couple  incidents. The coach thought I played too rough, and a parent backed it up. ......... Didn't end the way Miss Arias thought it would."

You discovered all the information before and during his adoption to be fake. Birth certificate, records... Thad didn't change the subject but he snapped at you." The truth is where I came from was nothing but painful! it wasn't safe, I wasn't loved! I was knocked down, ignored and used! I had no idea of where my mother was or if she would want me. My father was a psycopath.."

"She doesn't really respect or acknowledge none athletic students.." Thad explained after encountering the gym teacher his adopted mother." Well I'm the exception. If you show, explaining how your an athlete but there's no way to demonstrate it at school.... And maybe she'll warm up to you..."  You brought up how his parents never left him alone, appearing at everything, pratically smothering him but Thad didn't see a problem with it.... "It's called the Black Flash and it's after me.... I told them I couldn't go back... But they made me do it."

You saw Thad just as he returned to Blue Valley after rushing away. People in town only knew the 'normal' walks he on, but the truth was Thad constantly rushed in and out of Blue Valley. Out of bordem, for his family, or for arrangments he made. You caught him.

       "Nora... Nora is no one..." He crumbled up the paper as soon as he recieved it.

He threw Jay Garricks's helmet to the side immediately. " I never said I would wear that...."
The shot was nearly point blank. . You thought it was over for him until he showed what he had in front of him for protection. "The helmet turned out useful after all."
